I met with Marco for a consultation for a custom-made wall bed that I wanted for a very small bedroom. Marco was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He surveyed the space and immediately began to offer ideas. He answered every question I had patiently. He showed me why (or why not) something would (or would not) work. Originally, I was thinking about getting a twin-size wall bed made, but Marco was able to show me that a double-size wall bed would fit with a different configuration. He manually drew a mock-up (on the spot) of what it would look like, allowing me to visualize it a little bit better. He offered suggestions for drawers, cabinets, and cubby holes/shelving. Once we agreed on the configuration, we discussed colour and texture options, as well as hardware options. Pricing options were given during this colour and finish discussion. I ended up paying more than what I was hoping to pay, but I did end up upgrading to a larger size, so I can't complain too much in that sense. Delivery and installation was included in the pricing, so there were no surprises. Once everything was finalized, I was given an expected delivery date. To my surprise, my bed ended up being finished two weeks earlier than anticipated. We scheduled a delivery/installation date. On the date of delivery, the installers were professional and courteous. They installed the bed in the time frame given. Once they were done, they called me in for a review and answered any other questions I had. They hauled away any garbage and debris. In summary, I am very pleased with my entire experience. Customer service and interaction was fantastic with Marco and the two installers. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. Dealing with BOFF Wall Beds is the SINGLE worst consumer experience I have had in my 45 years on the planet. I first contacted BOFF regarding a wall bed for a small unit in downtown Toronto. I should have been cautious from the beginning when after numerous unreturned phone calls, I had to go in person to speak with someone. The in store staff were polite and courteous, and knowledgeable of the products. We were given countless options to leave with and set an appointment for the sales person, Marco to come by. On 2 separate occassions, Marco cancelled, after which Marco came down and measured the space, giving us a pricing. We agreed and gave him a cheque (or credit card) for the unit. It was approximately $7000. The delivery and installation was scheduled for early December, but I received a call from Marco stating that there was an issue in the (Montreal?) manufacturing plant and that we would have to reschedule. The earliest appointment was during the holiday season, but I took it as I had no choice with the condo waiting to be rented based on the unit. Finally, on the scheduled date, when the elevator had been booked from 10-2, the delivery turned up at 2:20pm. I called Marco and he asked me what I wanted to do - without ever apologizing or trying to find a solution. Coincidentally, I knew a security guard working there from another area of my life, and he let the truck in for delivery, despite it not being on the schedule. I - PERSONALLY ASSISTED the delivery men, who were as irritated as I - brought the furniture up to the unit. They were great at putting in the unit and stayed longer than they were supposed to - despite being irritated by the regularity of these types of issues with the company. We discovered that the couch unit, also custom made for the murphy bed, was too wide, and consequently made opening the bed impossible without removing it - defeating the purpose - as it is a small unit where storage space is non-existent. Upon telling Marco, he said "it's only an inch - before I insisted that they replace it. As they finished, they asked me for more money - as someone had said that there was an outstanding. In the quotations process, Marco was to give a final total invoice - without the addition of door handles etc. This in turn would affect total and HST. He had stated that he would calculate it and get back to me. I never received it. I paid the amount on the invoice, short of the handles, and told the workers, (and wrote a note) to say if there is an outstanding, I will account for it. After countless calls, the correctly sized couch unit was delivered - 9 months after the initial delivery - and 2 cancelled appointments with the renter (which she confirmed day of / cancelled work for - only to be stood up). TO THIS DAY, after 20 plus calls and emails to Marco and BOFF, I have STILL not received my final statement of account or invoice, despite leaving messages that I require it for my taxes. No one ever returns my call - I guess once they got the money, the relationship was complete. I STILL cannot get my complete/final statement of account. Marco also does not return my phone calls. Although the workmanship is great (once delivered), the communication is terrible - especially for such a hefty investment. Do not expect to ever get anyone on the phone, and if you do, they will simply tell you to come in - as though everyone lives next door. In my case, the trip is 45 mins each time. AGAIN, despite begging for my invoice, I have received no email with the requested document, and not even a return phone call to rectify. My taxes will now go in short of a ~$7k invoice. BOFF. Terrible communications. Great product. Inefficient delivery and setup scheduling. Great delivery staff. Not easily willing to rectify issues, or to take responsibility for issues. And I still can't get my invoice. I wouldn't use them again, or suggest them to anyone else. They are relatively expensive and the product is great - but the great product doesn't negate or offset the atrocious customer service. I may try going up there one final time to get my invoice. Beware your paperwork....I don't know if you are comfortable dealing with a company that says one thing to you - in my case, repeatedly saying you have a 3 month refund period for your deposit...and then later denying said refund because what they wrote on the receipt was misleading. If they willing to do this (quite effortlessly) over $50... You might be in trouble if everything doesn't go well for you. Here is what happened : Saw them at the home show. Guy says they don't expect people to be able to commit at the show just seeing the options and everything. But just put $50 down and they will promise to give you the promotion (Free memory foam mattress) with the show price $2300. AND the deposit is refundable till June 30th (the show was in March I believe). So, we take possession of the new house, decide the wall bed is a no-go and call on May 22 to get the refund. Without skipping a beat, the guy has his speal down as to why they are not giving it. Seemed like its practiced and used alot. He says "Valid until June 30th" is not the same as Refund till June 30th. While this is true, its not what he repeatedly said and when you are primed with his reassurance, it seems to make sense when you get your receipt at the end. I wonder if 'scamming' my $50 is really worth it for them in the long run. Also noticed now that they also didn't put the show price down and I wonder if that would have also been an issue if we actually did want to complete the purchase. BOFF beds is one of the handful of companies in Toronto that does wall beds. These don't come cheap but they are very useful in terms of small spaces. Staff are very professional and efficient. Someone will come to your house for the appropriate measurements and give advice. I didn't feel pressured at all into upgrades. We were given exactly what we asked for. We scheduled the instalment quite easily on a Saturday and the gentlemen who came for the installation were very professional and very quick. I would recommend BOFF if you are looking for a wallbed. read more

Terrible service! Once they had charged my credit card all of the service went out the window, even stuff they promised to do as a part of the installation would now require an extra additional fee. Part of the problem is that they out source their installation and have to pay them regardless, so they take the word of the installers over the customer even if you provide concrete evidence. Spoke to Marco and he was no help, left me felt totally abandoned after they got my money. Not worth the headache and frustration. read more

Terrible service. This company doesn't understand what after purchase care is, they will abandon you after they get your money and charge you more money to fix anything that doesn't work. Find someone else to get your Murphy Bed from because it isn't worth the headache with these guys. read more
