A button detached within the first months and was repaired by the store, indicating an early workmanship issue. Since then, multiple additional buttons have come loose, suggesting this was not an isolated incident. Communication via email and phone resulted in only two options being offered: pay a $300+ moving fee to return the couch for repair or arrange and pay for transportation myself. I visited Decorium during the last 15 mins before it closed a few weeks back and it's my first time here. Disclaimer, I did not make any purchases, so I can't attest to the purchase process or the quality of the goods over a long period. However, sitting around the couches and touching them in the showroom... They feel more premium compared to a chain store like The Brick and maybe even another local store I checked out (at this point I've been to a few different furniture showrooms). Nothing stood out to me in terms of unique or trendy styles. It's more of the classic couch silhouettes, which is fine. It looks like they have a 20% Yelp Check-in offer! So definitely leverage that if you're planning to make your purchase. I appreciate the store carries a newish couch and another version using the same cushions but a year after it's broken in so you can see how it holds up and feels. The staff member pointed that out to me, and he was great at answering my questions. Often in stores, you don't get to see an older couch for comparison. The sale staff wasn't pushy and gave me the space to explore. I don't know if it makes a difference but I was there alone. I don't get why people complain in other reviews when staff don't help you right away. I prefer the approach where if I see something I like, I'll ask for help. I was looking for a contemporary fabric sectional with deep seating between 120-125 inches in length. However, they didn't have that size. It's either too small or too big if I add another section. Any other size, I recommend checking this spot out if you're looking to invest in higher quality furniture especially couches and dining tables. I wish more folks could leave reviews about the couches purchased locally and how it wears. Such a challenging process to find the right couch. read more

An absolute scam. We were assured the couch we purchased was inspected and in perfect condition. It arrived well wrapped in plastic, but when it was unwrapped it had several tears, was missing three of it's feet, and the front of it was covered in coffee stains. We immediately contacted the owner with pictures of the damage. The owner proceeded totry and gaslight and blame us for the damage, before turning extremely rude and then ignoring us. All we wanted was an apology and he refused. Within a week of having the couch we noticed it's cushions were also ripped and tearing away from the arm rests. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional business practices. They don't care about their customers or the quality of their product and are clearly out to make a quick buck scamming people. we bought a 3 seats sofa from their "stressless collection" . After 3 Months later , we found one of our seat is Peeling. when we contact their customer service. At first, they said it is not manufacture defect . We told them , we switch seat regularly , because my husband wanted to make sure weight distribution will be even. if is was not manufacture defect, how come it only appeared on one seat? Later on they finally decide to change the leather for us. After the covid shutdown finished, they changed their mind and tell us it will cost us $450 plus taxes to change the seat....... I've been on a hunt to find a sofa for over a month now, but nothing has really caught my eye, when I first walked in, I noticed how big this place is. The sales associates were really helpful. I like independent shopping, I hate sales associates follows me around. The one lady that was helping me was great, she kept enough distance that I was able to browse on my own, but I was able to call her when I need help. We went to Decorium for a dining table we saw online. There was a lot of pressure to buy chairs to go with it. The salesperson said there would be 15% off the regular price. These guys are lying crooks. We spent over $8000 on furniture. We paid a deposit in May with the balance due on delivery paid by credit card. Delivery was supposed to be free. When it came on Aug 30 they had added a $300 delivery charge. I didn't have my original receipt handy at that time and foolishly paid it. For 2 months we have been trying to get them to refund it but they have just given us the run around, always promising to get back to us but never following through. Finally they have just refused to honour the original deal. Buyer beware! We will never go back. read more

I like this store a lot. It has a wide variety of styles for every taste - from the classical, to the contemporary and modern. The prices are pretty affordable. There aren't too many sales, as far as I can tell. The salespeople obviously work on commission, as they stalk you like prey. The service here is excellent! I bought a bed last year and the side rails cracked as we were doing construction and moving. Unfortunately the rails were thrown away by mistake. I spoke to Kasia in customer service and she was amazing. Within days I got a response saying that the manufacturer would replace the rails at no charge without even seeing them. I love the fact that she was able to action this quickly and make me happy as I couldn't use the bed without the rails. I have bought quite a few things here and they have some nice stuff. I don't really write reviews often. But this store's service is bad.. My friend purchased some furniture from them. She does not speak English, I helped her to do the communication. Every time I called, I left my number and informed them to call me for update. But they call my friend all the time. And how could you communicate someone speaks no English well??? They don't care. They just deliver the message and that's it! No matter if the person gets the message or not. And there is a defective chair after delivery, the person delivered the chairs pushed my friend to sign. After we called the customer service, they said my friend should not sign if there is a defective. So now it is our problem with a defective chair??? Finally, they will arrange to send a replacement chair. Again, called my friend.... She did not get the delivery time....... Then, I called the Sales who handles the order. He did not know who called my friend.. And needed someone else to call me for update.... This is a totally mass.. Geez, Steve - that guy should be kept away from customers. Trust me, he will undo all the great work of your sales staff, who in our case was very patient, very helpful. Having said that, the showroom is huge and offers a lot of choices and variety. Staff is average. Although they don't push you like sales people can, you do sense a 'salesy' attitude, which is ok, I guess. They are doing their job. I discovered Decorium while I was looking for furniture and something made me stop by to see what is inside also not forgetting that I liked the modern name of this store. Last week it was a real surprise to meet the founder who introduced himself and showed his ancestor's chair he found at a thrift store and how he recognized and bought it and now proudly showing it. No doubt it is a beautiful antique piece. They should try to re-create it as latest fashion and trust me it will sell like hot cakes. We exchanged business cards as he seems like a very down to earth person. I like the spacious spread out of every section. Every piece in there seems to have a story and class about it. My suggestion would be to consider setting up a reception table as you climb up the stairs to welcome the customers with a warm smile and a nice chirpy voice, so customers feel and get the welcome. Though the sales persons are always on the look out to help. Also the entire store should have a glass show room that faces the parking lot/road side that gives an exclusive look to what classic pieces are sold there. You will see a tremendous difference in customers. Also you need to advertise your store. Not sure if you have covered the ambulatory arrangements with regards to disability accessibility. What if some people can't climb stairs? This is just a suggestion. Touring Decorium refreshes your thoughts and gives ideas to own the best what they have. a most disappointing experience. This company just orders your furniture and delivers and gets a muddle man cut. There is absolutely no follow-up service. I bought a chesterfield and the stitching on a pillow is bumpy. They will not help, except to give me a phone number to call and then pay these people to do the job. I bought insurance for 500 and they give you a difficult time with a lot of back and forth and are reluctant to come. Will never set foot in this store ever again. Had purchased some items there in the past and was happy with them. However we purchased a large wall unit from them and had them check the measurements to ensure it would fit the space. When the arrived to deliver it and install it would not fit as they had neglected to measure the base that the unit sat on. We had to return it and was provided with a store credit. Some months later we went in to the store and found a piece and told them to use our store credit, $1400. They said they did not have anything on record on the purchase or the credit. The sale person that had been working on our order was also not working there any more. So at the end of a great deal of frustration we gave up as we did not have a receipt as we had given it back to the deliver guys in error. We went to Decorium looking for a small sofa or love seat for our town home. It was an hour before closing time. A sales person met us at the entrance and asked us very abruptly if we had an appointment. We said 'no', and she said "O.K., it is closing time but what is it you are looking for?". We told her our need and she wanted to know what we would like, leather or fabric. We told her we were open to both. She took us to a sofa and told us, that would be the only one that suits our need. we were surprised that in a big store like that there will be only one sofa that will match our needs! I am positive many sofas have an option of love seats. Then I enquired about "stressless sofas" and she guided us to that section. Long story short, she did not want to give us the time of daylight, explain options to us. I had to ask her many questions. To some of them she told us to go and check the website. She was always in a hurry or maintained a 'don't care attitude'. Seeing that we are not going to get the help we needed, we decided to leave. We felt "If you have a big home and want to fill it with furniture this is the place to shop". In fact, I told her this before leaving the store. I felt so intimidated by her approach. I drove an hour from Mississauga looking for quality sofa. Her customer approach clearly sends a message that this store is not a place to buy just one or two pieces of furniture or for simple folks. Excellent Excellent service from these people. We bought a beautiful desk from them a few months ago and after it was delivered we noticed one of the corners was damaged. I sent a photo of it to Raphael our sales rep. Immediately Katia from customer service called and said that they would replace it. It took a while for a new desk to be ordered from their supplier but Katia kept in touch. The new desk was delivered. No hassle no questions asked. Great customer service. Their advertising promotes quality but then they do not stand behind the furniture they sell when there are quality issues, When I complained to Decorium about how the cushions were finished they sent a video from the manufacturer, DECOR REST on how I can correct the poor quality of their product by manipulating the stuffing myself. This seems perfectly fine with Decorium. . This was a new sofa I purchased and the stuffing was lumpy and the cording on the cushions was shifted and uneven. the cushions and looked like it had gone through Several years of use. Decor Rest does not see anything wrong and Decorium's attitude is so sad too bad we have your money, live with it. read more

Customer service is severely lacking, I have never posted a negative review but felt the need to with this company. There was a colour matching issue with our furniture, it took 10 months to resolve, including multiple trips to the store. We are over a hour away and had to borrow a vehicle every time had to return and pick up furniture. We were told we would have to wait months for the new furniture to arrive but give up the existing furniture while waiting (they ended up letting us hold on to 1 of 3 pieces so we had something to sit on). The furniture was of course paid in full at this point, so wait up to 8 months with no furniture while we hold on to your money. I sent an email explaining how we felt we were being treated unfairly and got no reply. The furniture did come in and sooner than expected, we called to say when we could pick it up (because we were expected to make another trip). We inquired about purchasing the existing sofa, the customer service rep said she would get back to us, and she did not. We finally called to say we were coming for the pickup, they offered $500 off a $4000 sofa.....after everything we had been through!! So we ended up paying full price for the furniture, with all of the extra trips and issues, with absolutely no compensation. Not even an offer to deliver the new furniture to us! If you don't have any issues with your furniture you'll be good to go, any warranty issues.....good luck, you'll need it. read more

We initially made a sectional purchase from Decorium with a warranty package. We were sold on the package when we were told that we will get the value back if the warranty service is not used within a certain amount of time. That time frame expired and was time to claim the full value back of the warranty. They did not make it easy for us to use this credit. We had to mail in request, that was then returned to us and advised that we had to submit in person, when we went to the store, it could not be done on the spot and had to wait a few weeks for approval, etc. We were patient with the process and when it was finally time to claim the credit in store, there were a lot of rules such as purchase needs to reach a certain amount. We were also being charged tax on the credit amount when we were already initially charged tax on the original warranty purchase. Long story short, Decorium was not willing to waive $45 and instead lose $400 on a sale as well as more potential business from a customer. On another note, we were also sent a letter with a promotional discount last year, and when we wanted to take advantage and use the discount in store, again, they did not make it easy, and made up clauses to the promotion, that were clearly not stated anywhere on the letter. I feel that this company works on a win lose business model where customers always get the short end of the stick. I almost feel scammed doing business at Decorium, they are very dishonest and deceitful. I find it entertaining that the CEO of the company responds to a review stating that "We appreciate your business and after 30 years in business we strive for customer satisfaction in all that we do." Clearly that is not the case as I find more customer satisfaction purchasing a $1 coffee at the local coffee shop than dropping $1000s at his establishment. BUYER BEWARE! read more
