This place delivered with a smile, despite us being jet lagged and not communicating well. The grilled peppers were amazing, as was the patatas bravas, grilled chicken, and battered fried calamari. The sangria was some of the best we had on the trip, stirred up fresh with lots of fruit. The outdoor tables are on a quieter street in town. Our server fortunately spoke a little English so our English and broken Spanish helped us throughout our visit. Menus were available in both English and Spanish. The choices varied between hot and cold items, sandwiches and hot plated food. We split an appetizer of fried calamari which was golden and cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned. My daughter and I had a cheeseburger with fries. The fries were good but I'm a well done girl, my burger needed to stay on the grill for 10 more minutes. Service was efficient and friendly and prices were reasonable. However, some of the outside seating area canopy kept falling down and blowing over causing them to move people around.

Great views of the seagulls and the sand. The service was great and with the warm weather it was nice to have a seat outside. The winds picked up and blew over several of the large umbrellas. The food was very different from my norms but it was pretty good. We had hamburguesas which was a pink meat, jamón con queso between two hard pieces of bread and some fried calamari. That was a great start to a delicious meal that everyone enjoyed. I wish I could have tried all the appetizers. In hindsight, this might be the way to go! The food and service were so on point that our group went back a second time (with a reservation) in our four days in Barcelona. This time we ordered the epic Chocolate Bonsai dessert to cap the meal. It had a satisfying amount of chocolate with textures and tastes that leave you wanting more. Everything is beautifully presented and they handled our large group with ease. Definitely make a reservation, especially if you've got a large group. They may not have a Michelin star, but they're as good as or better than any place I've been that has one. If you're in the main part of Barcelona, it can be a trek out here (it is SO worth it), but if you're staying by the convention center and its nearby shopping mall, it is an easy walk and I haven't found anything else in the area that comes close.
