The customer service was impeccable, and the selection was vast and had things for different seasons and styles. I was able to try on a few things and ended up buying two dresses. I love supporting local shops and I feel like the dresses I got were well priced in high-quality. The clerk of the store had to explain to me some of the price points because there was one hat that I absolutely loved, but I could not spend more on a hat that said farmers market, then a full dress. The funny thing is when I got home I I told my friend that I went to downtown the land and she said "oh you really should have went to Shellsea, It's a great place and you would've loved it." The gal working there, Lucy, was so friendly and so helpful. I really appreciate the excellent service. I was not really shopping for anything in particular but I found some jewelry that I liked and the price was reasonable for those. I also found a couple of dresses that I liked and one of them was an extra large and I knew I could not wear that but she said try them on in vintage you just never know how they're going to fit. So the extra large I could not even zip! The size 12 dress fit perfect so Lucy's advice to try everything on was spot on. I ended up purchasing the dress that I could wear and I was so sorry that I did not try on the red and white shoes. Next trip down to Florida I will certainly check this little shop out again!

We stumbled upon this home mercantile shop on a Saturday while exploring the area, and I'm so glad we did. They have a shabby chic/vintage vibe with some really unique pieces that have a more modern feel. They have some large furniture pieces, rugs & textiles, and curated antiques throughout the store. We got a few home accents/knick knacky things to decorate our home office and bookshelf. They also have some great faux plants/greens that are perfect if you're a plant killer like me. I was really crushing on all their kitchen tools -- brass honey dippers, cute measuring cups, cutting & charcuterie boards, stoneware, hand carved wood bowls, marble pinch pots for herbs & seasonings... the list goes on. I'm not much of a cook but this shop made me wish I was, haha. I also ended up getting a comfy dress and some earrings (they have a great gold jewelry selection), and I've already worn it twice (instant closet staple). I just discovered that they also have an online store, so now I can shop there anytime since I'm not in that area too often (YAY!). My boyfriend has a service dog who we were not able to get the vest for yet, and it's not like the dog legally needs to have the vest for it to be a service dog, I walked around and had a few items in my hand that I was excited about and my boyfriend and his service dog were walking around, minding our business, and a woman comes up to my boyfriend and asks him to leave because they don't allow dogs in the store. He explained to her that she's a service dog and then another lady came up and said "the dog has no vest or anything that says it's a service dog so if an accident were to happen, blah blah blah".. the service dog has a square head like a pit-bull so I'm assuming she meant that the dog would attack someone??? This is the kind of thing that people with service dogs have to go through all the time. I dropped everything I had planned to buy and walked out. I will not be supporting any kind of brand that will harass or embarrass their customers. Horrible place.
