It's always a chaotic, bad experience in there and i've always chalked it up to the fact it's in an extremely busy part of town and it's the biggest gas station in the area... But something happened to me today there - and though it may not seem like a big deal - I think It's a good metaphor or why New York has gone so downhill. I spent over $40 there, on some gas, Candy, a gigantic water bottle, and a whopper. I grabbed an empty coffee cup, because it's a big water bottle & my cupholder is weird. I go outside to pump my gas, and the manager comes chasing after me, very annoyed by the fact that I took a empty cup. He demanded it back, and then I watched him go and stack it with the rest of them, even though it had left the store and in my hands. I would worry less about the two cent cup given for free, and more about the sanitary aspect . But isn't that wild? That you can spend over $40 at a place and a grown man will chase after you having a hissy fit over a paper cup? If there was a sign saying 'NO CUPS' or maybe they only charge .25 cents. But apparently it's the price of the coffee (so a large empty cup is like $3). I just feel that when we get to a point that a grown man chases another grown man down to confiscate an empty paper cup, then puts it back with the other despite that being unsanitary - as it already left the store. All probably bc if he doesn't he could get fired. NY used to be a tough city, but at least it was authentic. This corporate hellscape is something else entirely. I hope the man felt small after that - being seeing the look of almost pride that he stopped me... yikes. read more

It's conveniently located right next to the BQE. Easy off....easy on! The staff is always nice to me, it's clean inside with a decent variety of food products and the bathrooms are clean. They sell gas too and it seems to be cheaper than most gas stations here. read more

The cashier wearing a green turban tried to rip me off and pocket $10 of my gas money. I'm 200% sure it was not done by mistake. I gave him $30, then the pump stoped at $20. Went back to ask what happened, he said " you gave me $20. Ok, I check the cameras then" I said no worries, I have all day. Just then his manager walks in from the back room. The cashier did a double take on his manager walking by and looked very frightened. Then he said "Ok! Go! I give you $10 gas" I replied, you mean the $10 of gas you owe me that I paid for, you aren't giving me anything. I paid for it. Then just walked away. I dunno why I didn't just say something to his manager. The cashier looked so frightened, he would probably loose his job, so I didn't want that on my shoulders, so just left it up to karma. Over priced gas station market Gas to me is over priced It is open 24/7 so that's a plus Staff are always grumpy Charge more for credit cards as do other stations Also there is a Burger King inside now so that can get a bit hectic sometimes . Burger King staff are always nice don't eat Burger King but as I pass by they always have a smile on there faces . I do Come here pretty often wish the coffee was good then would be a great place to go in the mornings But overall it is in a convenient location with over priced items . Amazing staff and service. Had both Burger King and made normal gas station purchases with coupons and both were 1. Amazing deals and 2. Great experiences. BK was quick and fresh! The servers were beyond friendly and really hooked it up! The men (owners?) ringing up at the counter were super nice as well and made sure to get my discount correct with a smile! In addition to the usual array of chips and candy bars they also have a selection of cheap baked goods, a hot food and sandwich counter (during the day), fountain soda and a license to sell hot dogs. A welcome addition to an area where these things used to be hard to come by late at night. i frequent the staten island location on bay st. The service is very good especially the guys behind the sandwich counter. But i must tell you that the coffee is terrible. It tastes like it has been in the pot for hours. Organic coffee, maybe they forgot to sift the dirt out. I'm sorry but when was the last time a bird came in for a cup of coffee. I drive for a living, the last thing i want is a bad cup of coffee. please go back to the coffee you used to sell, it was very good. i know many guys who stop at the hess just south of this location for a cup then stop at Bolla for eats.
