We also order hot drinks because the weather was a bit chilly. Clean place and it's cutely decorated. You definitely get that cozy small town feel. The Yorkshire pudding meal did not disappoint. The best part was the gravy, absolutely homemade. It has such a great flavor. Perfect to smother all the rest of my meal with. The cabbage was cooked perfectly so it was soft but not mushy. Same with the carrots and peas. As with the mashed potatoes, you can also taste the homely preparation. No canned or boxed items here. These apparently change daily and on busy days, I'm told as often as four times per day. No promises the favor you wish will be available. As for the chocolate and banana cake, I was a little disappointed they use artificial banana. Fresh banana in cake makes it moister and has a natural banana flavor, which I'd have much preferred. The chocolate part of the cake was good and moist. The filtered coffee was good and strong. I think they had a multitude of other sweets near the register, too!
