We have been coming to Bombay for years as the parking is on site, restrooms are clean and you have access to a pool, walk up bar, tables and chairs on and off the beach. However, the food is average at best when it used to be good and the drinks are getting more and more expensive and tasted watered down. Service is always good and our server was a funny guy. We enjoy the vendors walking by but really don't like the bandas playing non stop at the table next to us. It made us leave a lot sooner than what we wanted. read more

He goes around offering a tequila shot to people and then if they accept he blows his whistle loudly... followed by excitedly patting their head. Ordered some food too, daughter got 2X1 virgin margaritas (could barely taste the difference). A few staffers fluent in English. Broke down my experience below Service: I'm sure COVID didn't change this place, first time in Rosarito and was heading to PAPAS and BEER (friends always talked about it). We were confused on one of the streets and a local restaurant worker came to our window (no mask) bilingual (helpful) but when we told him where we were heading to, he point it towards two big wood doors and told us we were heading the right right way and to go inside the doors. Turned out it was parking for Bombay, was not happy about the lie. The place was empty and we were sat at the very corner of the establishment. The view is nice but that's about it Food: the food was gross, my girlfriend ordered a carne asada burrito and somehow it had fish in it (she almost threw up, not a big fan of fish). I don't believe they clean the grill before cooking the next meal, the tortilla was not soft and seemed badly cooked. Drinks: watered down as much as possible, I had 2 drinks and I only tasted watered down tequila. We were in Mexico over the weekend to get away from traffic, dig our feet in the sand, take pictures, touch the ocean to see if the water was cold, and drink some beers in the beach. We got a few things done.. traffic sucked, people kept spitting in the sand, and the beers were good. One thing that stuck out was the service! Drinks after drinks hell yeah but where's the food menu? You have to pay to use the bathroom? That's why the beach is there. Lol The club is aaaiight if you dance and take shots while doing so. If you don't drink, you would have a lot more pictures unlike me but still have fun. The staff sell wrist bands for all night drinking for two clubs. A little overpriced but I guess they're cool, we didn't get any and still had a blast. Beware of your surroundings at all times. Decent portion it's just the meat was not flavorful. Friend ordered chicken cheese nachos, Sour cream with beans it was okay. I wouldn't order it again. Chips were good tho. As far as drinks, I ordered the strawberry daiquiri. It was good I really think tasted any alcohol in my drink but still enjoyed a good strawberry slushy. Tried the michelada with tecate beer. This place is so much fun. It is right on the beach and the banda playing from 1 pm to 2 am. The margaritas are 2 for 1 but a bit weak for my taste. I wish I would remember our servers number because he was incredible. Super attentive, moved us right by the banda at my request. Even offered to get me a table right by the stage if we wanted to stop by later on that night. The food was mediocre that's why I gave 4 starts. I'm giving this place 3 stars because, at the end of the day it's a really fun place with great music and good food and drinks. BUT I paid with my card the last 2 times I went and noticed that my bank was charged more than what I was told at Bombay. The first time my total was $51 and my bank statement said $61. I was already home when I realized so I left it alone until this time. I went today and spent $104 ( what I was supposed to be charged) and I checked my bank statement as soon as I got my card back. Only this time they charged my card $129. Last time k couldn't say anything but this time when I brought it up they gave me all these excuses and said it's my banks fault and what not.
