Hosted my best friends bachlorette party here and had a blast! We did the BOMBSHELL PARTY package. We were able to bring snacks and drinks and the representative set it all up for us. We all signed the waiver basically stating we won't sue if we're injured. The representative had us do a champagne toast for the bride-to-be before we began the class. Afterwards, the class began. We learned a sexy lap dance routine then a pole dance routine. It was extremely fun. Then they had the guest of honor do a special routine while we throw money at her. Now that was exciting!!!! The guest of honor also got a gift bag and we all got a free class card that must be used in 30 days. The party was definitively worth it! I would definitely love to do this again. read more

I've had two classes of the 4 intro to pole series. I LOVE IT!!! I knew it would be different and a workout but I'm in love and so excited to come back. The studio is so cool. Mood lighting, great stereo, you name it. My instructor is Kelly, she is amazing, especially for those with no experience. I also love how they have you sign a form to promise to love yourself and others and not to bring the negative energy in! Due to the snow/blizzard a class was cancelled and they immediately reached out to schedule us with a new class. Also, the instructor Kelly hand wrote a card about thanking us for joining and beginning this journey. I am super excited to continue. From the moment you walk in, you sanitize, remove your shoes and check in. On the first class we were 15 minutes early and they asked us to wait in the car because they want to limit people at the door, which is nice. Masks are required. Also, they sell out quick when it comes to registering! Another good sign to me. I've learned a lot in two classes and I'm so excited. This place is amazing. All I can say is keep any proof of purchase you can. If they send it to you. Please check that they send you proof of payment right away! I've been to several classes, been a guest at a few parties and even hosted a $400.00 party there. I purchased a promotional deal after a party which included 6 classes for $20.00. I shortly realize the classes were not applied to my account. I addressed my concern with the owner. She immediately asked me about a receipt which was sent via email. I went through my emails with a fine tooth comb and no receipt. I supplied the owner with the original Bombshell copy of purchase (pictured below) given to me at the time of purchase. The owner stated this was not enough. I then supplied a bank statement showing the amount deducted, date and business (Bombshell) whom the amount went to. This too was not sufficient. The owner was willing to give me credit towards a party but not the classes purchased. I realized that the business did not send a receipt for any purchase I've made with them and unwilling to admit to the mistake. In my opinion, the owner runs her business like she's jaded and expects every customer to take from her. Find another studio and a better business etiquette. read more

If you are invited to a pole party as a NON paying guest - go for fun and giggles, and an intro tease to see if you would be remotely interested in pole. If you are seriously interested - find another studio. I've had a pole party here myself and been a guest at 2 or 3 others. It is waaay over priced for what you get. You get about 45 minutes of instructed moves (non of your choice) and about 5 minutes of play time at the end. The "champagne toast" is a sip of wine in a teeny cup. The gifts are cheap plastic cups you'll never use again - all for $29-39 dollars per person. I have also done the "progressive classes" for several months. They don't teach you much. The class time is waaay too short. They are 50 minute classes once a week for 4 weeks. 15 to 20 minutes of the class is warm up. Conditioning is another 10 to 15 minutes. By the time you get to learn a move or two- the class is about over. There is no practice time after class or before class. And there is no practice time allowed in the schedule to practice the little you learn. Personally, I think that's the point - to keep you paying and paying, and purposely slowing any progression. I left and joined another pole studio and I've learned and progressed more in 6 weeks than the whole time I was at this studio. The instructors are nice, but their hands are tied. The owner is very hands on, but resistant to customer requests, and seems to be more concerned with her bottom line than anything else. read more

The place is sufficient for anyone who has never touched a pole. However, the skill level does not go beyond rudimentary pole skills and the owner is resistant to anyone trying to do anything more than the few tricks and spins they introduce. If you are looking to improve beyond a beginner level, then I would suggest other studios. There are plenty of Chicago studios that have instructors who perform and compete and want to see you soar. At Bombshell, students are discouraged to try new things under the guise of safety and strong foundation. In fact, when trying other moves beyond what was introduced in class, we were told we would be kicked out! In actuality, I just don't think they are able to handle advancing students. Other studios encourage students to suggest what they want to learn, not shut them down for it. First timers and parties are Bombshell's specialty. What kind of representation does this studio have in the pole community or even on social media? Even when celebrity pole instructors come to town, they only let their instructors have classes with them. Other studios allow their students to sign up with professional instructors. If you are okay with dictator type basic skill and drill, then this will work for you. If you feel uncomfortable with your body, then this studio will help build your confidence in that area. I give them two stars for that. But in order to get the other three stars, there needs to be advanced and professional level instructors, a variety of classes, relationship with the national and international pole community and the preparation of students to perform, compete and go beyond a beginner who wants to feel sexy. Although the owner implies the only goal I mentioned in my review is competition readiness, that is inaccurate. I think students should be encouraged to improve (for whatever purpose) beyond basic pole skills rather than told they would be kicked out for it. Advanced level is all relative. What is considered advance here is level 1 or 2 at most. read more

Yesterday was my third time at this studio. Each time I was there with a large group in celebration of a birthday. This establishment is a hidden gem located in the south Beverly area. It's a clean, strait forward place with everything needed to bring fantasies to life. Kelly was the instructor two of the three times I visited the studio and she is by far the best. Kelly is super professional, patient and knowledgeable. She is very laid back and down to earth. She really knows how to get the ladies pumped up and fantasy ready. Nothing has ever been so frustrating in my life than trying to schedule a class that I purchased through groupon. No one answered the phone and when they do they are rude. You have to do everything online with the tiny eat print and the intro class is only offered 4 times a year?!?!? I haven't even been there yet I don't know if I ever will buy already I would say AVOID AT ALL COSTS. read more

The staff was very clear and transparent about their policies making the planning process easy. I was really impressed with their professionalism. The party started off with a champagne toast and afterwards we learned several pole dancing moves. We then put the moves together into a routine. It ended with impromptu routine done by the host (me) while my friends showered me with fake money. The instructor was friendly and full of energy putting my nerves at ease. So much fun. They made sure my birthday was a true celebration. After the party, they sent a thank you card. If I lived closer, I would absolutely take their pole dancing classes on a regular basis. read more

I saw the other reviews that spoke to an unprofessional environment & I can not say that that was my experience. I can however attest to a fun sexy time. Kelly our instructor for the twerk/ pole/ lap dance 2 hour birthday class was amazing. The atmosphere was nonjudgmental with my stiff moves. Kelly kept us on task moving through the routines & keeping the energy up. The champagne toast that was included as well as our twerk water bottles were really nice touches. I removed a star b/c some of the routines were explained more at an intermediate pace than what I personally cared for. Trying to keep the pace I at times felt completely out of sync. Also I understand the intermissions but it would be more professional if someone created a playlist instead of the music switching to potentially the wrong track for the moment. We learned dance moves that we can use with our mates to keep the relationship fresh and sexy. The staff is welcoming, professional, and made us feel comfortable in a clean and inviting setting. I booked this place for a pole dance and chair class, from the beginning when I booked the class on the phone Jenny was super nice and accomidating with my needs. I had questions prior to the day of our event and the customer service team was superb and informative with answering all of my questions. The day of our event Jenny was also our instructor she was so nice, polite and funny. She did a wonderful job instructing us on both the pole and chair I felt like a superstar once we were done. A friend of mine and I attended this studio on a groupon we purchased when it was in Joliet back in 2012, we enjoyed it, but it was too far of a drive for us, so we didn't continue going. When another studio opened in Tinley Park (closer to home) we decided to purchase the groupon again. My friend was able to sign up for the Beginner Pole Dance class, but I was getting an error saying I did not meet the prereq's for the class. I called to ask about the error message, and was very rudly told that the "newbie" class was a pre req and that I had not done it recently enough for it to apply. (which by the way, it is stated nowhere on their website that there is a time frame in which you need to do the newbie class for it to count towards taking the beginners class). So now, we've been told we have to retake the newbie class, and can then take the beginners class. The groupon we purchased was for "3 beginner pole dance classes" NOT for 1 newbie class and 2 beginner classes as we have now been told we have to do. Also, nowhere on the groupon (even in the fine print) does it say you need to attend a newbie class first. My friend and I both contacted the Bombshell Movement Studio and were greeted very rudely by a woman who claims to be a manager. This woman has the WORST customer service I have ever encountered! Instead of working with us, she abruptly just told us she was going to cancel our groupons and give us our money back. I would definitely not purchase a class through this business again and would not recommend anyone else to either. read more

Very unprofessional. I will never patronize this studio, nor will I ever recommend it to others. I booked a bachelorette party at their Joliet facility in February for an August party (6 months in advance...!). They called me ONE week before the party to tell me that they closed their Joliet location and they have now moved to Chicago. Due to other plans for the party this completely put us in a jam and there was no way for us to get to Chicago for pole dancing. The owner only offered to remedy the situation by offering my deposit back (duh!) or giving us a $50 discount for the entire party. That is not even $5 off a girl. This bachelorette party was planned months in advance and the party at this facility was very important to the bride. The owner of bombshell said that they moved a month ago but did not think they had parties scheduled this far out and therefore never thought to look at their appointment calendar and call me. What kind of business doesn't check their appointment calendar 1 month out before closing their studio? I had to sign an electronic contract...do they not keep record of this? What a disappointment. Luckily, Tease Fitness in Naperville stepped in with a week notice and one of the instructors cancelled her trip to a regional dance competition in order to host our party at their facility. I highly recommend Tease Fitness and will NEVER recommend Bombshell Movement Studio. ' read more
