My tickets were a steal at $39.00 each. Almost sold out, I grabbed what was left for my wife and I. The seats were great, and I didn't see a bad seat in the house. Ms. Edmondson's performance was fantastic. Frankly, she sounded better than on her CDs. The acoustics were excellent and the seats were comfortable. Everything was spotless, even the bathrooms. A huge lot makes parking a breeze. Of course, being a matinee on a Wednesday, the audience was older, and I felt like 75 years old was "The Sweet Bird of Youth," but that's okay. My funky appearance caused a few of the Brookfield matrons to stare, but I'm used to that in Milwaukee. The town can be myopic and provincial in how they treat older men who dress "arty." It was a great experience, and I thank Kat Edmondson and the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts.

Unfortunately they had a last minute family emergency with a main cast member, but they pivoted and were able to have a cast member playing a smaller part step in and called another to help fill in for the other smaller part. They pulled it off pretty seamlessly and put on a very entertaining and funny show.Sunset Playhouse always comes through and is a true class act and asset to the community! A great idea for a wonderful night out is what the Sunset Playhouse is all about.

I was very impressed by the performers doing such a great job even with that curve ball. The theater is clean and cozy. You are able to purchase drinks and snacks and enjoy them during the show during the 15 minute intermission. I would certainly recommend this theater for the atmosphere, performances, and prices. All around great experience!

I have a slight hearing impairment and yet today the actors sang loud and clear all through the show. I so appreciate good actors who can pull this off. The entire cast was incredibly talented, and the music and staging rivaled shows I have seen in large cities. Cyndi Lauper wrote the music and lyrics, and she is brilliant. This theater has lots of parking and the ticket prices are easy on the pocket. There are refreshments for sale and if you have a few $$ to spend they are building a more intimate Black Box theater next to the main stage. This is going to be another big win for the theater crowd. Thank you for bringing this wonderful program to Waukesha. The two main actors, William Salinas and Caleb Joyner gave their all and the audience was all in for the entire production. But I also loved every supporting actor for their talent, which was incredible. I can't wait for the next shows- I plan to attend them all!

I was blown away by the cast and set. The acting equaled what I have seen at much larger venues with large budgets, ( and significantly higher ticket prices) ! This show-stopping revue featuring the finest young performers in the state continues to be one of the largest draws of our 2-day festival. Young and old from children to adults, bikers to senior citizens, and everything in between packs our giant circus tent each year for the KIDS. And the economic boon the standing room only audience brings to our concession stands, food vendors and art fair artists is another reason why I would encourage any talent buyer who's looking for that "wow factor" band or group for their next event, to look into the Kids from Wisconsin - they won't be disappointed! - Jim Bisbee, Monona Festival Chair "The Kids from Wisconsin show consistently satisfies our audiences with musicianship and showmanship that rival other professional touring groups. They are a pleasure to work with, and their youthful passion for the performing arts shines through on and off the stage. Show: Newsies Performance: July 24, 2025 (Opening Night)…read more WOW! I am a huge Newsies fan, so it takes a lot to impress me with this show. I can say whole-heartedly that I left this performance stunned, amazed, and eager to come back for closing weekend. I paid $15 for a student ticket, and GCT put on one amazing production well worth my money. I would've willingly paid double for this performance. The cast was amazing and performed better than actors in a professional production of Newsies that I saw in 2018. These actors are going places!!! The lighting and set design was great too. The stylistic choices made (I won't spoil, but I'm giving a special shout out to the Brooklyn newsies for their part in the show) were in good taste and helped involve the audience in the show's setting. My only complaint with this is the seating in the theatre. The wooden armrests allow no room for flexibility, and the seats are not super wide. If you're someone who needs more room or accessibility in your seating, I definitely recommend reaching out to the box office to see what options you may have. GCT also partners with a local charity organization for every show they put on. Donations for this show go to the Milwaukee Area Labor Council, which is super fitting for the themes of this show. I absolutely love that this group gives back to the community. Overall, this is a stellar production, and I HIGHLY encourage everyone to go see it. Well done, GCT!
