I was so excited to book with Bonafide to do our wedding video. We are an out of state couple and only had two things that were important to us: the photos and the video. When we booked with Bonafide, we were pumped. Despite some miscommunication of when they would arrive there resulting in me crying and panicking, they were wonderful videographers, very kind to our guests and so fun. All the worry of the day were forgotten. After our wedding...nothing. I have heard almost nothing from them. At the 2 month mark, I checked in and they said they were "starting to work on their June weddings" (we got married June 29) and they "should be complete in 1.5-2 months". That time period came and went with no communication or update. When I reached out again, I had to consult a family lawyer before I could even get a response. The response I got did not include an apology or acknowledgement of a delay of any kind. It said that we would receive our videos on December 10th. It is now December 26th and we have received nothing and have not gotten any type of acknowledgement. I am tremendously disappointed and have reached out to them for a final time before our lawyer begins to take the steps to file a lawsuit in civil court. read more

We needed a videographer in Montana to shoot the construction of several solar panel installations in remote areas near Helena, Bozeman, and Billings in the dead of winter and in the worst possible weather. Crushpix is a video production company located in the San Francisco Bay Area and we were not looking forward to traveling to Montana to shoot in January. We looked at samples from several companies and spoke with a few of them. We were immediately impressed with the footage produced by Bonafide Film House and were instantly put at ease after speaking with Justin. They offered to take charge of the shooting and had some beautiful examples including gorgeous footage from their documentary, of aerial photography, and shooting in harsh conditions. So we took a leap of faith. Justin and Anthony were extremely reliable in showing up, shooting timelapses at dawn, they were thoughtful and resourceful and took care of unexpected issues as they came up. Being so far away, this was a huge relief to us. But in the end, the only thing that really mattered was producing great footage and THEY DELIVERED. The footage we now have (which they sent out to us the evening after they shot it) was exactly what my client and I were hoping for and more. They provided lots of interesting and well thought-out material to choose from - properly exposed, in focus, creative camera angles, a nice variety. Communication was good throughout. They listened and provided more than what was expected. I would recommend Bonafide Film House to anyone looking for video production services in Montana and would encourage other production companies to reach out to them if you're in need of reliable assistance. My son and daughter in law got married July 27, 2019 in Bozeman, MT. Bonafide film house came highly recommended. The father of the bride paid for the videography in full. To date after e- mails and numerous phone calls from parents, bride and groom we still do not have a video, a teaser of a video or the professional courtesy of a call back. When you dial the number for Bonafide films someone picks up but won't engage conversation, nor do they call you back. I wish I could give them zero stars. Like the couple brides before me on this review chain, we hired Bonafide to film our wedding in October 2019. They have ignored, lied to and evaded us for months now. We were told we would get our raw footage in the mail a month ago and were fifteen a bogus tracking number that never even registered in the system. They are liars and terrible business people who are out to steal your money and not deliver you a product. Do not work with them. EVER. read more

I hired Bonafide Film House for a video project through my agency. Halfway through the project, the client canceled the project claiming that they lost their funding. I found out later that Bonafide may have interfered with my contract - by disclosing what they were being paid as a subcontractor. I suspect that they contracted with the client directly and then tried to hide that fact. I have attempted for weeks to contact them to see if they could refute it, but they did not return any of my emails, calls or messages. Very cowardly and unprofessional. read more

We got married five and a half months ago and have still not seen our video, even though we already paid in full. It has been a nightmare to even get anyone to respond to an email or text. Forget about them answering a phone call or returning a voicemail. When we do get ahold of them via email or text, they tell us we are a month out from getting it (that was 4 months ago) or 1 week out from getting it (that was 2.5 weeks ago). I highly doubt we will ever see our video. I would not recommend them to any bride it has been a terrible experience. read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars because they don't even deserve 1 star. Me and my fiancé are getting married in 3 months and they failed to tell us that they went out of business, failed to contact us, nothing. we already paid the deposit, of course they didn't give that back to us and now we have no videographer for our wedding. We are about to sue them because this is completely unacceptable. Justin is so unprofessional and he will end up paying for what he's done to so many couples. read more

I hired Bonafide Film House to travel with me to a remote location in Montana to film mustangs. Their willingness to travel through rough terrain and spend a day on a windy mountain top was amazing but the footage they got and their professionalism around the horses was even more wonderful. They worked with me to create the voice-over I wanted and were able to source the perfect music. They had a clear understanding of my vision and captured it perfectly! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a videographer for any kind of event or special interest. read more

I would never recommend the wedding videography services provided by Bonafide film house. My experience with them started as a good one, they were prompt in their response time and seemed to genuinely care about the quality and production of my wedding video. We opted for the premium package which was to include all day film coverage, the bridal and groom preparations and most importantly (and the major deciding factor in upgrading packages), the free standing video guest book for people to leave messages on. We were absolutely in love with the idea of getting to revisit heartfelt messages from all of the people who travelled near and far to the wedding. It was a huge hit and many people told us they couldn't wait to us to hear the messages they left. They showed up over an hour late (and after I called to see where they were) and never went to film my husband getting ready, even after I asked. There were a few things throughout the rest of the day that were strange to me but I chose to overlook them, such as not filming things I had SPECIFICALLY mentioned in the pre-film questionnaire. I thought maybe I had missed them filming. They wrapped up earlier than agreed upon, but once again I justified that they were professionals and knew what they were doing, so they likely had all they needed. Fast forward 4 months later (end of December) and I still had not heard from them. I reached out via phone call with voicemails and multiple emails. After the third or fourth attempt, I finally heard back. After we got the package, we realized there was no guest book video footage on the disc. I figured maybe because it was the holiday and times were busy, it simply got missed. I reached out MULTIPLE times again before hearing back and was told they would look into it. By the middle of February, I still had not heard back about the footage. I reached out, again, and finally got an answer. I was told that during the guest book filming, a guest at the wedding kicked over the camera not only corrupting the footage but breaking their camera as well. Not only did were they unapologetic, they were lying. Justin, one of the videographers, grabbed my husband and I towards the end of the video booth filming and told us to go leave a message that they would include at the end. After we were done filming, I watched them package up the camera. The camera was placed far enough away from the dance floor that there was no way it was ran into but also somewhere that would have been witnessed if an accident happened. Furthermore, had someone knocked it over and it was set back up, they would have refocused the camera and seen that the lens was broken at that point. Lastly, I highly doubt it would have taken SIX MONTHS for them to figure out that an expensive camera had broken. When addressed with my concerns, once again they were unapologetic and made me feel as if I was in the wrong for wanting some sort of compromise or reimbursement. Additionally, the film was missing a large part of what we had asked for so I asked them to make some changes. After yet another months, they sent a revised footage link to my email. How on earth am I supposed to watch that in 30 years? Recheck my email and hope the link works? Since all of the important and sentimental guest book footage was lost, I was looking for some sort of compromise and compensation. I asked for money back and all of my raw footage, as well as the new 15 minute video placed on a disc to keep. They were again slow to respond and hesitant to help at all. It eventually took my husband calling and being rather firm for any action to occur. My reimbursement (of a very minimal amount) also took about 3 emails and another month to receive. Overall, their customer service was TERRIBLE and they were unbelievably unprofessional. I am a very reasonable person and had my lost footage been addressed right away with a genuine apology and a desire to compromise, I likely wouldn't be here writing this review. While the footage they did capture was good, the overall experience and money spent was not worth it. If I could go back, I would have never ever booked with them. After this happened, I learned that I am not the only person to have irreplaceable footage simply 'lost' by Anthony and Justin. Do yourself a favor and book with anyone else. read more
