The thing about BonChon is that their spicy sauce tends to differ in spiciness depending on which branch you're in. I can definitely say that in this branch, you're gonna burn your lips off if you're not careful.
I took my Bicolano lobster here while we were in Araneta Center, and I tried to impress him by ordering spicy sauce on my chicken. It took one bite for me to find out that I was in way over my head, and he got worried when he saw me tearing up while chugging iced tea. Note that we were a very new couple at this time, and things got really awkward really fast. Thank goodness he just laughed at me and switch orders. He gave me his fish and chips, which I really liked.
Despite that mishap, I'm still a fan of their chicken (but maybe not their spicy sauce). If there's anything I can eat everyday, it's chicken, which is why I'm always on the lookout for new chicken places. If you know some good ones, let me know! read more
