Typical serving of them meat from the server

This place is a total gem. For only 299 pesos, you can eat as much Korean BBQ and sides as you want! Tucked away on P. Guevarra Street across from the Rustan's Supermarket, this lunch-only buffet features an excellent value. While some places cut corners on the sides alongside the meat, I argue that this place does not. While we were there (I was with about 12 friends from school during our lunch break), the sides were always warm and refilled frequently with hot and freshly prepared food. I loved the calamari, the Korean pancake, and the potatoes! My friend also said she loved the spicy soup. The kimchi here was a little on the sweet side and lacked some spice for me, but it paired well with the meat nevertheless. There's the standard sauces for KBBQ for you to choose from here, including sesame oil, the spicy sweet red sauce, and good ol' salt and pepper. There's both upstairs and downstairs seating. We were seated upstairs and it offered a bit more privacy sit it overlooks the downstairs seating in a loft-type set up. The meat itself is served on wooden planks to you by the waitstaff. The waitstaff here is super attentive! Our large party had the meat continually refilled and our water pitchers were never empty. The service here was phenomenal. As for the meat itself, I would say that the quality is just fine. I actually prefer it to some Korean BBQ places in Tomas Morato/Timog. It is, however, cut extremely thin. I enjoy the thin cut, as it makes the meat crispier and in my opinion, tastier. It compensates for the relatively low temp the cooking griddles are at. But this is fine, as it helps mitigate smelling too much like the food you're eating. Some Korean ice cream (Samanco, Melona, etc.) is also available for an additional charge. Definitely check this place out if you're in San Juan! It's an instant favorite for me now.

I've never been so full in my life (okay, maybe just in a long time), I just got home from Sodam and I literally can't move. It's an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ place all for... 299 pesos. True story! It sort of made me wonder how they make money and I really hope they do because I plan to keep coming back here! Don't be turned off by the lack of exhaust as you enter because the food will make up for it. The waiters sit you on the table and the rest is yours to figure out. My friend and I rushed to the buffet and quickly grabbed a little of everything. Honestly speaking, only the spinach and the chapche were good, everything else was either cold or sub par, not worth getting full over. When you get back to your table you're greeted by a stack of meat and pork. This is where the fun begins, we grabbed the salt mixture and seasoned the meat and grilled away. They were all a little fatty but super good too! We ended up grabbing 2 sets each (yes, also unlimited) It's just a little hassle that you can't just get meat, you have to get it with the pork but we finished it anyway. I can still taste some of the goodness in my mouth and the smell in my hair, can't wait to do it again!

Heard alot of good news about this place, so I had to definitely try it out. It is located in San Juan by Xavier and near Greenhills area. It is a a small restaurant, but it has a good selection and quality of food. For a weekend dinner buffet, price is good for only 365PHP. They serve trays of meat along with a wide variety of side dishes. The service was really hospitable and fast. My only dislike of this place was the time limit. I got full by the 1 hour mark of an hour and a half time limit. Will definitely try this place again.

Once the waitstaff understood that we were there to eat our hearts out, they kept the bottomless accouterments coming! At one point, we had 4 different waitstaff stopping by our table every five minutes to bring us more of something delicious. Everything was fresh and good quality. Know before you go: 1. Make sure you know what's included in your order and what's extra. The waitstaff is more than happy to help make sense of it all. 2. Come wearing stretchy pants! You will undoubtedly eat more than you intended! 3. Bring your own hand wipes. The paper towels provided just don't cut it! I mean, it's BBQ! Plan on getting messy. Between the healthy portions, attentive waitstaff, and the casual atmosphere that teeters on gritty, we had an amazing culinary experience! I would definitely come back to this restaurant.

This is the reason why meat tastes better and tastier. We are glad to have a host family while I'm visiting the Philippines who knows good food, like honest to goodness must places to eat. One day, we were brought to this place right in the heart of Manila. The place might be small but the dining experience was gigantic. We enjoyed an AYCE for Php 580 with unlimited choices of pork and beef. The choices were so many that we just opted to get all beef. So many also were the banchans. When the server brought them out and laid in our table, there was no space left uncovered with these tiny plates and bowls of side dishes. Aside from that, we also requested for the steamed egg and tofu soup. Best part of the meal? You don't do the grilling because the server cooks all the meat for you. Ha! That's nothing unheard of here in the US. Overall, excellent service not just by the server but the entire staff. Definitely worth more than the money you pay for. I will definitely come back on my next trip to the Philippines.

We used to be regular customers there so we knew our meat. Our visit at this new branch redeemed us as regular customers again. We were so happy to be surprised by the extra space they have at the back; you'd think the branch is small if you only took a peek from the outside. It was a bit warm at first but they adjusted the aircon later on. Walls were painted black even in the restroom. Overall place looked simple and had that hole-in-the-wall vibe. Cleaning the front windows looks necessary though it amusingly matches the restaurant vibe. Service was good since they always got what we needed at fair waiting times. Refills came back loaded with food and the water pitcher really kept the service water cold. The free veggie leaves, dips, side dishes, steamed egg, and soup were impressive to the eyes and tongue. Be careful with the steamed egg because the bowl was insanely hot! We ordered two meats ala carte and they were excellent both in texture and flavor! To the management team: Thank you for impressing us, and we can only hope and wish you maintain the good quality of your food and service. Forget what I said about the windows; they still pass! :p

Place was pretty clean. Staff was all over the place and not organized for the crowd. The price was decent 880 php and the price was not even labeled in the entrance to know how much you would be spending. You can use your US citizen ID for their senior discounts. Just have to ask... They had lots to offer from korean to Japanese food. On your table, there is a grill to cook many of their raw meats and seafood. They also have marinated meats. We didn't try the grilled meats as I really didn't want cook my food this time. They do have a lot to offer for prepared foods. We tried almost everything but some of the food was kind of blah or too salty. The kimchi fried rice was dry. The veggie pancakes was pretty good. Their sushi roll were ok but not fresh. Soups were too salty. They even had pasta dishes were only ok. The fresh juices were good like their shakes. Many of the desserts were ok but I liked the tiramisu and gelato the best. Even their chocolate fountain just tasted like Hershey chocolate mix and didn't even taste good on the marshmallows, etc?! Not sure I would come back here again! I even had to chase down the waiters to get our bill or to retrieve our payment! Not the greatest service. I would rather pay double the price at Shangrila buffet than here! I would only give this place 2.5 stars. [18/100]

Coming from Seattle, we have buffets, but not to this standard and service. No one complains and everyone just wants to help, even with bringing things to the table. My girlfriend was holding a couple plates and looking around and one gentleman asked if she'd like to have him take them straight to our table. Let's just say I was more than impressed. Food wise, everything was above average. There was a vast selection of dishes from Chinese, Japanese and Korean cuisines. Beverages ranged from Buko juice to blended mango drinks. Only issue I had was that the Ramen station's broth was a little too salty for my taste and the panko crusted cheese stick was between warm and lukewarm. I was expecting a nice gooey cheese, but instead I got a solid bite leaving me a bit unsatisfied. (I must have gotten it at the end of its cycle). Other than that, I had a great time and a great meal. They've given me an unforgettable birthday and with that, I say, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? COME GET SOME!! Service : 10/10 Food : 9/10
