He listens, works very carefully and tries alternative ways to realign the spine in order to avoid causing any harm. Even the way he manipulates the neck results in my back "cracking" all the way down to the top of my fusion! Eventually we resorted to the twist-and-pressure that is traditional in chiropractic care, but my lumbar was being very stubborn and making life quite difficult. Again, he began gently, going by my cues as to the aggressiveness needed for the application. I am very pleased. I've been to chiropractors who want visits 2-3 times a week for 3 months; this place didn't do that. Usually a 2-week course is recommended, then a re-evaluation of symptoms, and a new judgement made from there. Ultimately, it's left in the patient's hands, with no pressure to continue with a recommendation. I'm now able to move my vertebrae on my own, for the most part, but still visit every 10-14 days. At least until I'm comfortable with the level of re-education my bones need.

I had my first visit at Siler Chiropractic today. Severe acute pain between the shoulder blades, shoulders, and neck. The consult was worth the visit alone for educating myself. He does spend time making sure you learn what you need. He spends time suggesting small daily changes and stretches to promote healing. Then there is the actual treatment time, very little is spent doing an actual adjustment but the relief is apparent immediately. For a novice I had my neck and my back cracked for the first time and I was very surprised at the noise (not really a true indicator of successful treatment, but likely satisfying to hear in a morbid way) and I could move my neck a lot more freely than before. I believe that chiropractic medicine is really a useful adjunct to your well-being but is most maximized with total wellness practices. Common sense stuff like exercise, diet, etc. and I was most grateful for the very professional and personalized treatment. It is also apparent that the doctor believes in positive lifestyle changes and he works on his own family too. Tucked inside a surprisingly small building out in the middle of Spokane Valley is an amazing establishment. Dr. Lopez is both incredibly personable and knowledgeable. Upon my first visit he was able to diagnose my issue (mid back pain and stiffness due to bad posture/movement mechanics) and begin working on fixing my problem. He doesn't just treat the symptoms, he identifies the underlying cause and works at fixing that while alleviating the accompanying symptoms. In addition to Dr. Lopez, Summit houses excellent exercise specialists and massage therapists that complement the chiropractic care Dr. Lopez provides. No response, but also didn't see the issue again until today, which leads me to believe they got the message then. And the issue is this: the partial blocking of the sidewalk in front of their suite by a sandwich board...which happens to be in front of the handicap spaces for the building they share with several other businesses. ADA requires accessibility of at minimum 36 inches in all directions of the sidewalk, but even if they measured exactly 36 inches, it's also an issue of lack of consideration *especially* at the crest of the handicap ramp, where a wheelchair or walker user would need a larger turning radius. In the pic, my 8 year old daughter has a tiny wheelchair, and could navigate through, but for adult wheelchair users, that would be tight and force them close the edge of the sidewalk and its drop off.
