This is my second five star review of this chiropractic business. I was skeptical, but excruciating sciatica pain, and the recommendations of several friends, drove me to try chiropractic, and Summit Coeur d'Alene in particular. I am hiking! In the local mountains! When I began treatment I could not walk from the bed to the coffee pot without severe pain. I love many things about Summit and the Coeur d'Alene staff. They don't just "crack your back" and send you on your way. They have equipment for warm-up and for after your session. They send equipment home, with detailed instructions and exercises tailored to your needs. The doctors and desk staff are all friendly and approachable. And, greatly appreciated: they have supplements and specialized programs available, but do not engage in "hard sell." I say that the staff here has "given me my life back." read more

I go three times a week , and every time I feel like a million bucks walking out. I have had multiple things going on and it getting better which is a god sent. Before it would take me a minute to get up and stretch, but now I'm able to function without severe pain. From the ladies upfront to the Dr in the back if I had describe it in one word"Family". Being that I have a passion for nutrition and wanted to learn / find out ways to heal My Thyroid, I decided to go. First Impression:My Objective Thought: (Based off My STRONG intuition and uncanny intuitive and analytical ability): This is a "Wolf" in "Sheep's" Clothing and a possible (STRONG likelihood) was a lot of PRETENSE / PRESSURE (Dr. Ryan was very tense) ______________________________________________________ 2nd Encounter: Date: Monday August 3rd, 2020 at 6PM: Where: At Seasons Agenda: FREE Dinner -- To get people to sign up for servicesPost Falls, ID Saying / eluding to the fact that ALL diseases stem from the SPINE being out of alignment, and that if you can get the XRAYS 9with the special 'deal' that He has to offer), then you can cure / heal the condition During the dinner the doctor made a presentation by showing the spinal cord from head to hip and said every disease has a cure by taking care of your nerve system. At this dinner we were told that every disease known to man was curable by only "having a 'proper spine.'" I have a thyroid disorder and high cholesterol and that was my reason for the visit to Dr. Ryan. During the presentation, the doctor said he / his clinic visit normal charges close to $300, but with the dinner invitation it is $49 only. I thought that wasn't a bad idea to just throw $49, and if I don't like the entire process after the first evaluation, I will just lose $49 or thought the dinner, which was free, probably cost close to $49! ______________________________________________________ 3rd Encounter: Date: Tuesday August 4th at 3PM: Where: SummitAgenda: Meet-and-greet & X-raysPost Falls, ID Meet w/Dr. Ryan (Prior to Xray):Dr. Ryan told me that one shoulder was higher than the other shoulder. X-Ray Room:1st Impression Protocol immediate safety concern: I was shocked at how their protocol didn't have any safety precautions / measures to protect My Body (ie, LEAD VESTS) against any radiation / exposure with / using any medical protective equipment (I had had another chiro exam in town just a few years ago, and they were sure to protect My Body with all of the necessary equipment, and emphasized the importance of this). Strange gut feeling:Dr. Ryan's Xray tech told me to "Lift, Raise, & Twist" my front shoulder and "Lean Forward" a bit." I immediately thought this was very weird / strange (I immediately remember thinking, "Why on Earth would she have me re-position My Shoulder like this and spine" (Something told me it was wrong and that something was OFF) (I had had a chiro exam just a few years ago at another business and don't remember ever having to do that, nor did I have a strange / weird gut feeling). The strange feeling was actually strong enough to elicit a verbal response -- to where I actually questioned / spoke up to her about it, at which point she proceeded both verbally (attempting to instruct me) and physically manipulate My Body into this strange and awkward (un-natural, and again, something I had never / not experienced (All the while my gut is clearly telling me there is something wrong) at the last chiropractor facility I had attended) "The good thing about you guys taking me to the dinner is that I got the deal for X-rays, which I will now take to my chiropractor (NOT Dr. Ryan), and see if they can help me with the issues I have, because I get their services UNLIMITED for only $50/mo." I said to My Referral, "Your chiro (Dr. Ryan) charges $60+ PER 15-minute (Note: 10 minutes of this is used for doing prep exercises and only a couple of minutes with the doctor himself) session. I can do UNLIMITED for $50/mo (Unbelievable / unbeatable!) ______________________________________________________ 4th Encounter - EMAIL ME FOR DETAILS: IT IS SHOCKING WHAT HAPPENED AT THIS ENCOUNTER (UNETHICAL!!!!!!!!) I gave them 2400 or more to fix my neck I went in 3 times a week and had to pick a number to be seen, 15 other people and children did the wobble ball crap waiting for our turn which was maybe 45 seconds. I am new to Summit Chiro and I love it! Cece is AMAZING at what she does! I am a mid 30 yr old with stomach issues, not able to lose weight, not out of shape, and constant bloating, acid reflux, pain inside my stomach etc. I have been to many doctors and they basically put a bandaid on my stomach issues and never attempted to fix it, I thought I would be miserable the rest of my life! but through the process of mending my stomach and gut health Cece fixed me! Dr. Ryan Sousley and his team are top notch. I've dealt with spine issues my entire life caused from Scoliosis. Chiropractic has been a huge part of my life since I was 8 years old and have been through multiple chiropractic offices. I like to live an active lifestyle but over the past decade debilitating lower back and hip pain sidelined me from doing the the things I love....golf being at the top of the list. After a few hard years dealing with the pain My wife turned me on to Summit Family. Dr. Ryan was confident he could get me to a place of being pain free. I was very skeptical as I've had many family doctors. Physical therapists and other chiropractors say similar things. I was beginning to feel like a test subject and didn't have much faith. But there was something different about Summit Family's approach. It's not your standard in and out adjustment. They have you do a simple warm up to get your body loose before getting adjusted and this was a game changer for me. I adjust much easier now and am not so tense while getting adjusted. Above and beyond that I trusted Dr. Ryan when he said he was confident in helping me. I have been in Summit Family's care for about a year now. I an happy to say that I am almost 100% pain free and have been for 6+ months. I only have little flair ups every so often. This wasn't a super quick process, I had to put the work in as well but with the help of Summit Family and following Dr. Ryan's advice I am back to playing golf and doing things I haven't done in years. Quacks. This place is nothing but a conveyor belt and quackery. Nothing medicinal happens here. I'm VERY familiar with real chiropractic treatments. This operation is nothing short of a slap in the face to actual healing. After several visits it was quite clear what goes on here. It's nothing but a money pumping machine. I messed up my neck this morning stretching and could not move my head to the right at all, I was literally hunched over in pain. It was early so I just picked the closest place that was open since I was In a lot pain. The business is very clean and the employees were wonderful and very accommodating. However ... after filing out paperwork and waiting over half an hour I was finally seen. They did an X-Ray and then used a mini jackhammer type of massager in my upper back and a bit on my neck. He also cracked my upper back . Then he said ice it and come back for more treatment. I asked what could have caused this and he said it was too swollen for him to determine the cause .Upon checking out I was surprised to be charged $109 . I saw a $40 first time special on yelp but the x-Ray was about $60. They also implied its usually a lot more expensive than that. So I walk out feeling no better than before I walked in and feeling annoyed I just pissed away $109. Then a co worker recommended a different place and I gave it a shot since I still needed immediate relief. The other place I went charged me $60 and did a handful of different treatments right away and I walked out feeling brand new again and no more pain! He also explained that my nerve got pinched and caused a muscle cramp and inflammation so I actually knew what was going on. read more

This business is like a scam. They treat all most everyone exactly the same, no matter what the individual's problem is. While I do believe the Drs have good knowledge and are able to help certain individuals whom they determine are 'worth' it, for most people it is more like a fast-food assembly line of care, and, frankly, quite useless. read more

I have been looking for a chiropractor for years. 2012 was the year of my last adjustment. I came across Dr. Ryan through a talk at Pilgrims Market in CDA, Idaho on Inflammation. His delivery was very authentic and he was very knowledgeable about the material. I had talked to Dr. Ryan and asked if he gave a "good" adjustment (I wanted hands on adjustments), and he said yes. So, I went to his office and received some x-rays (I am not letting someone manipulate me without proper x-rays) and an exam. I also was given a wonderful education about chiropractic, the nervous system, and how all it relates to health of our mind and body. My first adjustment was the best I ever had, and that was the first night I went to be without that annoying chronic cough I had when I lay down. I also noticed after my second adjustment, that my energy level has dramatically increased. What a wonderful feeling! I had some neck and low back pain, but nothing horrible, but once adjusted, I didn't realize how great I could potentially feel. I am so grateful Dr. Ryan is also a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner because I have a ton of food issues and inflammation. He was so patient with my history, and we are currently trying to get a plan going (I am still new). I highly, highly recommend this professional and very caring office. The staff is so informed and very positive in their demeanor. I love the clean and neat office, and I felt very comfortable in asking any question (which was always answered). I only have great things to say about this place. I had a nagging headache for 2.5 months and my doctor couldn't figure out why I was having it. I tried diets and all kinds of cleanses, nothing was working. I finally was referred to Summit Family Chiropractic in CDA by a few friends. It was the best decision I have ever made. They fixed my headache in about 6 weeks or so. I now am headache free and feel much better. All of their doctors are very knowledgeable and show that they care to help you get better.
