After a bit of research I made an appointment with Laney at Brazilian Butterfly. I was so pleased with my service. Laney was professional, skilled and personable and was able to put you at ease right away. She was quick and thorough as well. Need I say more?? Last week I had my long hair trimmed, after a beautician-standard head massage, and then blow-dried, for just over half of what fancy salons in Civic charge. No loud music. No pressure to colour it or buy products. Today I had a proper pedicure. I say "proper" because those nail salons in the mall do not provide a relaxing, individualised, or dignified experience. The environment changes for the calmer pretty quickly once you go in. They offer a range of different services but I've mainly used their float tanks. It's organized with everything you need (ear plugs, soaps and towels etc) and the floating experience is pretty good. I've not managed to find a genuinely silent float tank in Australia. It's pretty good but you'll still hear the odd noise through the water if someone's thumping up the bleachers (at least that's what I assume the noise is). Nonetheless a really relaxing place to come, with staff who've always been friendly and helpful.

My tattoo placement was in a tender, sore, supple part of the body but I was equipped with Matt by my side who was truly, honestly, inexcusably supportive. The quality of his work - inspiring, mystical and metaphorically woke. I had a micronap while Matt was tatting me and I married a Scottish fawn in my dream. He was really rich but it wasn't true love. Then the fawn silhouette peeled away and Matt's beaming, grinning, polite face appeared. ... It's been 1 day since then and I can't stop thinking about what a good tattoo artist Matt is. If I was Judge Judy I would rule that Matt is the best tattoo artist in the world. I would knight him as the best tattoo artist in the world and send him to the Olympics immediately. Cataldo's was referred to me by a friend and I am so glad I took her advice. Having long hair I went in to see Sheldon for a change. Taking off 6 inches of hair, giving me some layers and taking out some of the bulk (I have extremely thick hair so she was able to thin it out to be more manageable) I was extremely happy.
