It definitely made me ready for the main course. I chose the ribs and was a little jealous of my friend's choice of the brisket. It was a full rack of ribs, which arrived not quite warm though the fried potatoes on the side were still hot. Perhaps a little overdone, but I have a very high standard for barbecue. Before I start, I'm a native Texan so I know a thing or two about BBQ -- picky as hell. It's been a home run at B-Smokery both times. If I had to pick, their ribs and coleslaw are my favorite -- plenty of meat on the ribs, and nice vinegar hint to the slaw to give it that acidic kick. This particular night, I had their "small" all-in platter that samples all the meat -- ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and two sides, coleslaw and grilled veggies were my choice. Cornbread included. Everything was delicious. And the "small" portion was super filling. If I had to be critical, the beer selection is fairly limited. But they've expanded the bar selection since the previous time I was here, so at least they're getting there :) I warmly recommend B-Smokery -- go there today, like now, and get your BBQ grub on! Lots of value here with affordable, savory, filling portions. Honest assessment: Best BBQ I've had in Finland.

The atmosphere was good as always, even though the Finns doesn't seem to be that interested in the tournament, which might be due to the own teams failure to qualify. Anyhow. The problem was mostly the food. Ordered the double cheese burger and got two pre-made patties that seemed to have been made not upon me ordering them, but probably earlier the same (hopefully) day. Too hungry to mention this at the restaurant, I devoured the burger and tried to forget about it. However, the next day I went to one of the competing sport pubs and had a great burger (see next review), which made me decide to not go back until Oleary's starts to at least make their own burgers. Too bad. I like the place otherwise, but paying three times as much as one would at McDonalds, and getting a burger that is less satisfying does not work for me.

To fit into this focus the price of beer has to be lower. 7€ for a normal beer is too much for hangouts. The place is big, and nice. The staff was not as good on recommending stuff, they went strictly on the menu. I'm not interested in the menu, I just said I want THE burger. With cheese, without bacon, please. "But which burger? this one might be good for you?" and the waiter pointed at something in the menu. When I want THE burger, its probably not on the menu.. ;) Still, it is good burgers. The atmosphere is slightly restless because of sport screens and tv's (I'm not a big fan of sports and tend to get hypnotized by moving pictures), but if you don't mind that, or even like sports (!) this is probably a nice, relatively calm and very civilized sports bar for you. This is not my favourite burger place on the world or even in Helsinki area, but it's definitely not the worst either. I will surely visit them again, but this is also because there aren't any other this kind of places in Tapiola. But, not bad, after all.

Friend of mine ordered wings and realized only a few min after she had paid that she can't eat the blue cheese dressing which is served in a separate cup together with the wings. Changing the dip cost one euro extra...seriously? At this time there were still few tables before us to be served. Meaning the kitchen hadn't even started yet to prepare the dish.
