Cars, the joy of being a "Car Parent" and if we don't give them something to keep them moving....they start coughing and eventually they get sick. With many gas stations out there now in days, it's really a chore to figure out the ones that really is good for our vehicles. With varying prices, and "quality" now in days. We want to make sure our vehicles are getting the best. My car named "Bleu" is a mellow fellow, a rough teenager, wants to run with the big dogs. But when "He" needs his fix, I take him to "Bonfair" and now let me tell you why it's not only a win for him, but for me as well. "Bonfair Market #29" City - Pittsburg Gas Price - $3.09 for Unleaded Price -$20.00 Review: As a "Car Parent" you know what does and doesn't work for your vehicle. And gas really can make and break your investment. I know what I trust as far as gas goes and now in days "Fillers" have even made their way to the gas market and I don't want that in my car at all. I usually dabble between "Shell" and "Chevron" as far as gas brands goes, but "Valero" definitely comes in at a third and it's pretty good gas, at least for "Bleu". This "Bonfair" location and their sister store in "Concord" off Solano, both get their gas supply from "Valero" and that for me is a good thing. "Valero" as far as the "Bay Area" goes uses "ExxonMobil" gas (as they bought out the Benicia Refinery) and now operates over 350 gas stations under the name and distribute to other independent retailers. "Valero" being an independent operator themselves, is one of the biggest independent gas and oil operations in the U.S. and UK. Cool little brief history lesson huh? How I know "Bonfair" uses this gas is because I asked :D and I decided to research a little. And with "ExxonMobil" being providers of "Top Tier Gasoline" guess what that makes "Valero"....you guessed it.. hopefully. My car depending on price usually takes between $30-$40 if on "E" (not the drug) but I usually always fill at the half mark, so $15-20 on average. My I don't drive alot, so the gas lasts really well in my car (Honda Civic) and for that I'm pretty glad to consider this my gas station of choice. Plus at the price point of $3.09/Unleaded (see pic for other prices) for right now I can't go wrong with "Bonfair" In Closing: "Bonfair Market #29" is a great option not just for gas, but for your other quick market needs as they have a selection of snacks, drinks and other simple items you may need. My reason for the one less star is because....."They always are running out of gas" or "Their systems are down" pretty annoying sometimes, but the service here is pretty good. At the end of Railroad in Pittsburg, before heading down Kirker Pass sits this little gas station, I would say if your car needs a fill up and you're in this area, give them a try. read more

Before today I would have given at least 4 stars. I went to get gas and a few drinks this afternoon. I sent my teenage daughter in. She grabbed a few other things that I wasn't expecting and that cause my card to decline. The guy didn't say anything to her he let her make it all the way to the car. He comes to the card and tells me my card didn't work .I'm asking him how much is it and he's telling me that it's an amount that was way more than the items she brought back to the car. So I said let's go inside and bring all of this up again. I was going to use a different card to pay for the items and my gas. Instead he starts screaming and yelling in our faces. He says give me back my stuff and continues to scream and yell even more, then he snatches the bag from my daughter and yells for us to get out of there. The guy continues to say stop wasting his time. It was truly unintentional and no one was trying to steal anyting. I have been coming to this location for years and it was a simple misunderstanding that could have been handled in a more professional way. I am literally still shaking. He was so aggressive and out of control. I won't spend my money somewhere that would treat me like that. Most people would have told you your card declined before you even took the stuff off the counter so I really don't understand. Bonfare you need to get it together I deserve an apology. And you would have gotten one to had you not did what you did. read more

I come here frequently because it is close and if I need something it's there. If there were an alternative, such as 7-11 or something I would prefer that. The selection inside the store is decent. However, the customer service is horrible. The employees do not speak English at all. Last time I went in, I picked up what I needed and proceeded to check out. I assume it was the owner who took my payment but he was so incredibly rude. He walks around with a blue tooth stuck to his ear every time I go there. This time, never once providing any customer service whatsoever. No eye contact, not a word. He was too involved with his conversation on his blue tooth to even acknowledge me, or to provide decent customer service. I was really disappointed. I would expect better from the owner. It's true, the products are decent and well stocked but the staff is rude. Half do not speak English (I hope they are learning after all this is America) the others just don't care. Come here for what you need, just be aware that your questions might just go unanswered! read more

I recently went to get some grocery for my baby sister here, everything was nice neat and clean, the staff was even great, really friendly once you get to know them. I specially like the owner, he makes funny comments and jokes around with the customers. Before i shopped here i asked some of the local shoppers here and they personally like it too. I also noticed that some customers come here standing in the parking lot talking with other customers and some times with the owner. Some of their regular customers say that this is there "Hang out spot". This is a real friendly place if you are nice to the staff and don't act real mean. Once i went in the store and notice that there were lots of customers in the store and staff was handling the customers and one of the customer came in angry cursing on his phone right when there was lots of lady customers were present. Immediately the owner yelled out to the customer very politely asking him not to curs, but the customer didn't stop so the owner yelled out "YO UGLY ASS, WATCH YOUR MOUTH THERE'S LADIES HERE OR ELSE GET THE F*** OUT OF HERE OK?" It was so funny it made all the customers laugh, but this really shows that the owner cares about his customers and respects his customers. I would recommend all my neighbors and friends to go here. read more

Easy one stop shop. They sell gas and your normal convenience store miscellaneous.... Like a full liquor inventory! This store has been here since the dawn of time so it looks old and smells old. Don't wander around the store, make it an in and out trip... There can be one too many wierdo transients for my taste! read more

I had a very bad experience there yesterday I went to get gas yesterday and the man working told me I could not pay $20 on my card and $10 in cash! Wtf!! What store does that !
