Di Cori came highly recommended so we walked to the Spanish Steps to do a little shopping. The store is small but they have a great selection! The second I walked in (and before I could even state what I was shopping for), the lady behind the counter had already begun pulling out a basket of gloves in my size! She knew the second I walked in! I tried on a few pair and settled on simple fingerless ones made of bright red leather. The leather is smooth, soft, and oh-so-lovely. I paid about $75 U.S. for these gloves so they aren't exactly a bargain price. Watch out for loose threads and popped stitching; the pair I got had too many popped stitches for my taste so I immediately took them back and they were exchanged with zero fanfare. I'm unsure if they were trying to pass off slightly damaged gloves to an American tourist, but I'm glad I caught it. Make sure you examine your purchase carefully! I think they make me look like a bad MF behind the wheel of my Porsche, and that alone makes them worth every pretty penny.

I saw the leather gloves in the storefront window so we decided to stop in and my what a selection! They have just about every color you could want/imagine, as well as just about every type of leather glove style you could want including cashmere lined, non-cashmere lined, driver gloves, etc. The gentleman who helped me, I later found out was the owner, and he was extremely knowledgable - he looked at my hands and immediately knew which size glove to give me to try on. Truly fantastic service and very reasonably priced as well. I saw the owner was married so I asked him if he had any marriage advice for myself and my husband, he turned to the woman in the store, who we found out was his wife, and he said "Nothing she's absolutely perfect" which was so sweet! They both smiled at one another and said to always have patience and communicate - very kind people. I love that Italy is so supportive of small shops and family-run businesses. If I'm ever in Rome again, I'll definitely be returning to Di Cori for another pair of gorgeous Italian Leather gloves :).
