Nice small local dive in type of bar that offers club membership that is good for a year and has a list of perks. This place has affordable drinks and a variety of sexy ladies who give nice lap dances. My favorite time to come here is on the weekends when it's a lot of different dancers working. As someone who is from out of town and is a woman enthusiast this used to be an amazing place to enjoy the atmosphere and great service especially from one specific dancer. I would always recommend this establishment yet not anymore. I was truly disappointed to hear that a company would want to get rid of the best dancer. When I say the best I mean it. This dancer provided great support to coworkers and wonderful service to customers even despite the hate and belittling from other dancers. I will be honest, I wasn't allowed to walk in. I was just tagging along with a friend who needed to take care of something real fast, HOWEVER, AS the bouncer took my ID he told me I wouldn't be allowed in - as he was HOLDING MY ID?? There was no reason for him to have my ID in the first place, since he knew the situation. He gave it back after I asked for it back 4 TIMES, questioning why he asked for it in the first place and why he was still holding onto it if I wasn't going to be let in. I would have understood if I wasn't allowed in there because I wouldn't be spending money (even if it was just for a quick minute) His reasoning being that I would look like a worker... when I was wearing a long sleeve plaid shirt and pants. Regardless he held onto my ID longer than he needed to and he didn't need to, I stated my intention as soon as I walked in the door and projected his own idea of me as potentially being mistaken for a worker... in casual attire. Next time just tell me I can't join if I'm not going to spend money. Don't hold onto peoples ID's just to look at them? That's real f**king weird. Little more professionalism. This has been the gentleman's club servicing our local needs for bachelor parties over the last number of years. The venue is in the middle of nowhere in Olathe. The only two buildings are Bonita's and another strip club across the street. Of the two, we choose Bonita's because you don't have to be a member to get in. $5 every year and a half or $20 for a yearly membership at the other place is pretty much a no brainer. The best thing about Bonita's is that all beers and most drinks are only $2. If this place were any closer to my house, I might make it my normal bar. Aside from the bar when you walk in, the main room is to your right, which consists of a continuous couch that forms a giant U around the small dancing strip with a poll on both ends. The dancing room is lit completely with black lights. I've heard this is great for hiding the tracks in the arms of heroin addicts. I don't think that is the issue here. Judging from some of the girls' teeth, meth is the drug of choice. You always have to have a drink in front of you. If you don't, the waitress might cut you. If you forget to tip the waitress when she brings you a drink, she might cut you. If there is a stripper within 5 feet of you when you order, you should expect to be charged for her shot of liquor. This place is great for bachelor parties because on any given night, there are generally 2 to 3 girls who are completely busted and/or could play linebacker for a D-II college. Girls like this are experts in giving lap dances that involve slamming into and racking the groom-to-be and overall making sure his unit does not come out to play for a few days. I like this because I am a d-bag and enjoy seeing pain inflicted on those that I love. As with any strip club, be sure to hit up your own bank's ATM prior to coming or you will get raked by service fees. It's $10 for a dance. 2 for $15 if you're a big enough loser to go on Sunday or Monday. This has been a favorite amongst friends. The atmosphere is pretty laid back and it's a good place to go to have a cheap drink and unwind after work. Things generally get hopping around 9 and after (they're open till 1 I think) and there are generally enough ladies to keep things entertaining (as far as lap dances). The catwalk is always utilized as the ladies rotate in turn (sounds like it's a requirement) and sometimes I find it can be just as much fun (and cheaper) to slip a few bucks to a catwalk dancer than it is to flag someone down for a lap dance. If it's a busy night and you're somewhere in the U section, I recommend sitting closer towards the bar rather than at the other end. The ladies will make their way down and generally will get snagged before they make it to you, on a busy night you may not have your choice of seating the later it gets and you might find yourself lonely for awhile. Its size is what it is, if you want a bigger place, pick a strip club inside a larger building. Also I don't mind how the required drinks are handled - I drink slowly sometimes because I just don't make a habit of slamming my drinks, I never felt like I was being harrassed by anyone. I do dislike the occasional dj fee where someone will come around asking for a buck or two for the "DJ," which is a machine. This is usually awkward and tacky and would recommend they do away with this. It's a successful way of milking customers but it's one of the reasons some will not go back - because other strip clubs do it isn't a reason to keep doing it, imo. Have two female strippers walk around and rub on each other, have them ask for a buck to go towards their college fund. Get more creative than "DJ fund", you'll still get the money and the patrons won't feel like they're being nickle and dimed. I'd pay a few extra bucks to see some hotties rubbing and feeling each other up, that is after all why we're there. Overall a laid back, relatively cheap place to hang for a couple of hours with buds and have a good time. I see women there with their guys all the time so it's by no means a rarity. I think there is one day of the week where they're not allowed in (Friday?) because it's busy enough that they only let in the guys. From what I've gathered from the strippers I talk to (I have some very fun conversations with them sometimes that amount to much more than just "how ya doing?"), they prefer dancing with couples vs. single guys - the guys are generally better behaved and the conversation is much more lively and relaxed. And guys, if you've never had the privilege of taking your lady to a strip club? It's in your best interest to take her with you ... trust me. This club is what I would consider a legend in the Kansas City metro area. I've read some of the other reviews and want to clear up some things. First, due to some legislation you either have to be a member or enter with a member. Being a member is as simple as going at least 10 days prior and signing up. (ID and ten dollars needed) If your not into planning I don't believe it would be tough to find a member on the outside and get in on their pass as a guest. Now to the best part. I've never not had a fantastic time here. Plenty of different ladies to choose from. Lap dances are only $10, which I consider a bargain! Who cares about the privacy thing another review mentioned. This place is awesome! I was in town on business. I didn't have a membership. The guy at the door was all "Oh hey, I recognize you from last time you were here" wink wink, nudge nudge. "It's only $10 to renew your membership today". I got in and immediately the bartender was super friendly. The drinks are unbelievably well priced. It being a week night I didn't expect the girls to be gorgeous, but I was wrong. All of them logged like models. At $10 a lap dance I easily spent $180 there (I had an eventful evening). The girls were the right kind of flirtatious and loved visiting with me. While they were about business, the girls weren't too pushy either. Most of the girls were white, but there were a few black, and maybe a hispanic lady. They were all beautiful. The waitress who walks around really isn't too pushy. She asks if you need another drink. I wasn't hassled I guess because I kept them coming. The drinks are between $2-$6 and the lap dances are cheap too. Don't be a cheapskate. Money up fellas. The lack of privacy wasn't a bother to me. I like going there because unlike most stripclubs, though the girls are there for the money they enjoy having a good time. I've heard on more than one occassion "If you're not going to get dances, then buy me a drink." Some girls are absolutely gorgeous (though most have fake tits) and of course there are the few that are old, look strung out, and like they'd suck your dick for a quarter but that's anywhere you go. Something I also like too is that the girls actually dance there, some do tricks, it's entertainment value, whereas other clubs are all about the hustle. Overall if you're passing through town, and want a cheap dance Bonita's is the way to go. Patronized "The Flats" twice in the past 3 weeks (including tonight). Was a regular (2x-3x week) about 5 years ago. The decor and the feel hasn't changed since, and I mean that in a good way. None of the talent remained from 5 years ago (nor did I expect it to be, as high turnover in the norm in this industry). For the most part, the talent was smoking hot.
