This is a small salon so you may need to make an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome, but when I showed up and had to come back at an appointment time so I didn't wait a long period of time. Thoroughness of the work is worth taking the time for an appointment. The staff was nice and greeted some customers as they were regulars. It's been a week since I got my dipped nails and they are still holding up pretty good. I felt the price was slightly cheaper. I will go back when I have the time to wait or the time to make an appointment. read more

I LOVE coming to Bonita Nail salon they always give top notch service they're the BEST! Tila did my pedicure a bright hot pink and a nice massage on the legs with hot rocks she really knows how to get your feet feeling so relaxed and light feeling Artina she's a new nail tech/artist here at the salon she's so awesome I'm glad shes here at Bonita Nail Salon I love how my ombré pink dip nails turned out thank you thank you thank you! Wonderful job on my dip nail set! I had been in between saloons trying different places and its rough out there. Bonita Nails checked all the boxes: -They had an even square shape throughout all my nails. -The nail was smooth when you ran your finger across it on all nails (no lumps of excess dip material still on it). -No cuts on my fingers from filing. I even accidentally smashed my finger nail in a drawer breaking the nail and they fixed it for me! Very sweet of them. As long as you make an appointment you'll be fine and pleased with results. read more

I absolutely love the staff and the way they are super detail oriented in their work! The only reason for 1 less star is the wait. I understand this salon is pretty small and appointments are the only way to ensure no wait, but I had called about 3 hours ahead for a time. Once I got there it took about 45mins-1hr to be situated and then it took an additional 2 1/2 hours to complete both my Gel Pedicure and a Dip Manicure. Like I said before I am beyond happy with my nail because they did a great job but the wait was long! read more

So when i first walked in i didn't get the "HI" that i would've liked.However, as I sat and received services from Mrs Tila I appreciated them more. I got a pedicure at Bonita last week with my sister-in-law which was lovely, and I asked if they did simple nail art if I wanted to come back for a manicure. Made an appointment for my birthday at 4PM. Walked out at 4:15PM because I hadn't been started on in any capacity. No nail soak, nothing. If I make an appointment at a certain time I expect to be seen at that time. What's the point of scheduling an appointment if you aren't going to start on me until 20-30 minutes after the scheduled time? Very disappointing. read more

I was looking for a place in Denton to get my nails done. Spent a long time looking around online and landed on this place! Went there Thursday at around 12:30 and I got helped right away! The inside was nice and the chairs were super comfy. Tomlee did my nails and he was AMAZING! The shape is adorable, and he took such care when filing them down. Very gentle with my hands and listened to my requests about their length. Everyone there was very nice, and for the price it was an amazing experience. When you have an eight year old who is now a professional at getting her nails done, you get her sparkly nails done. This place took care of her very well and at only $10 for both fingers and toes. It was worth keeping her happy. Nice place. read more

This place has awesome people working there, and they take their time doing your nails. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because they charged too much for my nails and 3 of my nails ended up looking bumpy and weird looking. I will recommend this place. read more

Truly the best manicure and incredible pedicure I have ever had. Their prices are great. I love to take friends and family there. They all agree they are the best and become their customers. After looking over the reviews for nail places I found this one and I'm so glad I didn't just go to the first one I saw. Tila was great, she took her time made my nails look great. She listened to what I wanted and did it. Also paying attention to all the detain and making sure with me I likes the outcome. I had my doubts when we pulled into this little strip. The gentleman who did my nails was the owner and he was the sweetest! The price wasn't too bad $20 for a full set and he did a wonderful job! He really perfected my nails! They also are connected to the tanning salon next door and everything is new since they remodeled. I'll be coming here from now on! read more

By far the best nail experience I've ever had. I was a walk in so naturally I had to wait a good amount of time to get started but they apologized for the wait. I now know to call ahead. I've never had a nail experience that didn't hurt... until now. They were so careful and precise at cutting my cuticles I didn't even know they were doing it. They were then again careful and precise at applying your nail polish. This was my first time at this salon and it won't be my last. read more

These reviews must be old because I went in there a week ago and I noticed it said Bonita nails but it also had another name. There is new ownership now. very Tacky pedicure and was overcharged. was told the Pedicures started from 33 dollars and 36 dollars. she told me a face Wax was 20 dollars and when I sat in the chair in a closed room, I was told it would be 42 dollars because she didn't realize I had that much hair on my face, so I told her not to do it. it seems like all she was focused on was overcharging people more than keeping their Business Reputation. i also noticed there weren't many people in there as well. Now I understand why. There are lots of nail places to go to to get excellent resultes and I have exercised my options. The troublem didn't look Asian, she looked Hispanic and had an attitude. please don't go there read more

Made an appointment for my husband and I to have manicures and pedicures yesterday afternoon and was told they could take us both this morning at 9 am. When we showed up at 5 minutes to 9 this morning the door was locked and no lights were on. The hours listed on the door said their hours are 10 am! We waited 15 minutes and also left a message in their phone. I Yelped another salon (Luxor Salon and Spa on Teasley Ln) and they were able to take us both right away. We drove over there and had the best mani/pedi ever!!! By the way I never got a call back from Bonita Nails! Don't waste your time with Bonita and do yourself a favor and go to Luxor, you won't be sorry! I gave one star because you can not give 0 stars! read more

I'm going to start out by saying my stiletto nails are shaped nicely, and that's the sole reason I gave even one star. I recently moved to Denton from Austin, leaving behind the best nail tech I've ever known. I knew going in to not have the same expectations, so while browsing Yelp for a new nail salon, I chose Bonita based on the fact that people said it wasn't fancy (I don't like super fancy places), and the quality of nails were great. I set an appointment, telling the person on the phone that I had 4 nails that would have to be replaced. They said that was just fine. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment to have the employee at the door look surprised and irritated when I said I was there for an acrylic fill/replacement. I told her I had an appointment and she waved me to sit down. When she came over a couple of minutes later, she was super rude and exclaimed, "that's almost half a set!" when I showed her I needed four nails replaced. I again told her I had specified that on the phone and she walked away without saying anything. So I sit for maybe fifteen minutes more before she comes back over asking me what my nails were. I said acrylic. She asked me how it was applied; dip or with a brush? I said it was regular acrylic applied with a brush. She walks away again and comes back with dip powder, saying they only have sparkly so it won't match my other nails, and generally acting like she wants me to gtfo. I was confused at this point and again mentioned that I have acrylic nails, at which point she kept talking over me. When I finally got her to understand I have acrylic nails, she was like, "Let me see!" and got some acetone to remove the polish. When it didn't come off she looked at me like I was stupid until I told her I had gel polish and she filed the gel off to see...surprise, I have ACRYLIC NAILS. At that point she yelled at me and insisted I had told her I have dip nails. I had now been in the shop for over half an hour. We were sitting quietly as she was applying new nails and filling the others. I'm sitting normally, when she YELLS AT ME AGAIN for sitting incorrectly, saying she can't do my nails if I'm sitting like that. Okay... I adjust my posture so I'm sitting up ridgid and uncomfortable. The rest of my visit was uneventful, until she started filing under my nails. She kept stabbing my nail beds! I would flinch away and she would do it again. By the time she was done I was bleeding from multiple nail beds and had been in the shop for over two hours. Two hours. My nails are shaped well, but they are super thick and clunky, and not filed thinner at the cuticle so it looks like someone just glued this shit on. I debated leaving this review, but when I left the place I was fucking crying. Getting my nails done is one of the few things I regularly do for self-care, and this nail tech made me feel like absolute shit. Fuck this place. I will continue my search for a new nail salon. read more

The technician who attended to my pedicure did not wear gloves, and his nails were long and unclean. additionally, he smelled strongly of smoke, which made it difficult for me to breathe. the quality of the pedicure was subpar. he did not cut my cuticles correctly, struggled with shaping and trimming my nails, and the overall result was unsatisfactory. the polish and base coats were not allowed to dry properly, resulting in several of my nails being smudged. furthermore, he did not speak English and did not seek assistance for translation, which hindered communication. the foot massage was inadequate, and despite informing him that the towels were too hot, they were still used. The entire process felt rushed, leaving me extremely disappointed with the service. I will not be returning and I am so disappointed I had to pay in full.

I found this place on Yelp, and made an appointment based on all the great reviews. That was about 10 months ago, and I've been a regular ever since. The owners bend over backwards to take care of their customers, and everyone is very friendly. I think their prices are very reasonable, and my nails look great. They always use freshly sterilized, individually wrapped instruments for my pedicures. Another reviewer mentioned the wait, but I've never had that problem when I've booked ahead. I would recommend this place to anybody. read more

I went in today after a bad experience at another salon. Tomlee fixed my nails (basically put on an entire set of the acrylic nails that use pink and white powder, not clear with white tips) and only charged me for a fill. He's very polite and takes a lot of pride in his business. I definitely plan on going back and possibly checking out their other services. read more

The most messy and unclean nail shop. I know for sure they have rats and roaches! Rude customer service, I was decline service after traveling 22mins via uber..... I was very pleased with the pedicure I received. The woman who worked on my nails massaged my legs and feet for an ample amount of time, took special care to ensure the polish went on precisely, and was very friendly. The pedicure was also only $20, which is a great price in comparison to many other salons. read more

This photo was taken after the second attempt. Needless to say, I left that salon and immediately went elsewhere to have them removed and re-applied. Again, maybe they were just having an off day. I've been getting my nails done professionally for more than 15 years and don't expect perfection. But when you're paying for a salon service, the end product should look a whole lot better than that.

Before I even got into the chair, he looked down at my feet and started analyzing my toes. To be fair, I don't have large nail beds, but I do have nails. He visibly seemed annoyed and rushed me over to the chair. Once I sat down, he started manhandling my feet. While filing, he kept scraping my skin with the nail file. After adding the fake nail, he clipped them while rushing and several times nearly cut my skin because of how fast he was going. In the middle of applying the acrylic, he stopped my service to help other customers who walked in. I understand helping other clients, but I had to wait about 15 minutes for him to come back and finish my toes. When he returned, he didn't fully file off the excess acrylic. There is still a noticeable blob of acrylic on the underside of my pinky toe. The entire time he seemed visibly annoyed to even be doing my feet. Keep in mind I paid $55 for this service. At the end, he washed my feet with extremely hot water and then had me sit at the drying lamp. I was there for about 15 minutes and no one told me when the drying time was up, so I eventually just left. Shortly after, the nail polish chipped. When I went back to get it fixed, he once again seemed annoyed to help me. Overall, the nails look cute, but the service and professionalism were disappointing.
