Above all else Rustic River will work to make sure you are happy with the final product whether it be a new driveway, custom cabinetry, a new build or a remodel. Although we can skillfully handle any aspect of the residential construction industry I have a passion for concrete/masonry work and carpentry. I love doing anything with concrete, driveways, sidewalks, foundations, really like doing stamped concrete, epoxy floor coatings, concrete countertops and the same goes for carpentry. We love to build decks, framing projects, we even do custom woodworking such as outdoor furniture, planter boxes, interior furniture like tables, shelves, cabinetry or anything your imagination can dream up using wood. If you can dream it we can build it! And we of course can’t forget about composite decking! While not a wood material the framing is still done with wood but the benefits of composite over pressure treated are amazing. No maintenance, no staining or painting every couple years, no warping or rotting and the composite material available today has a beautiful, timeless modern look. Any project you have in your mind let us help you bring it to life, big or small new builds or repairs we can handle it. There’s an often forgotten line to the quote, “A jack of all trades master of none”. That line, “Is oftentimes better than a master of one”.

We hired C & C Masonry in oct of '24 to remove & replace concrete basement steps. Today is June…read more12th, 2025. Chris completed 80% of the job. Rust marks are showing on the wall he resurfaced because he failed to remove nails that were in place. He has stated it needs to be refinished & promised to do it. He was supposed to drill into the wall & foundation to anchor the steps with 1/2" rebar. He only put the rebar in the steps, not into the walls. He's supposed to paint the chimney. When he poured the top pad, the concrete failed to find it's way to the bottom of the form, leaving rock exposed. He promised to fix it. He was supposed to seal the concrete when it cured. He failed to recaulk where required, which he promised to do. I did it myself. He used & took a 10'x10' tarp of mine & failed to return it. Chris did work for us in 2015 & everything went fine. I felt I could trust him. When he asked for final payment, with the promise to return & complete the job, I paid him in full. He has returned once to retrieve tools he left, with the promise to come back. Chris isn't returning calls or texts. I have texts, contracts and pictures to substantiate everything I wrote here.

I tied for many years to purchase this from the owner who lived in New York City. It took her to her passing for the family to decided to sell. The barn was a dream of mine to bring back to life. I seen the barn quickly deteriorate a hole opened up in the roof and I seen the 1ft X 1ft open to 10-foot round hole. By the time I acquired the barn it was ready to fall over. Foundation needed to be replaced. I then interviewed 6 masons, 5 of which did not do cribbing. Cribbing is where 6X6 are stacked as Lego's to support the structure once foundation to being worked on. Chris Buckas with C&C Masonry & Concrete was the only one that said he did cribbing. On Dec 1st I started calling mason's I got 6 quotes 5 of them did not do cribbing. Chris told me he did and he was a bit higher in pricing thinking I was paying for cribbing. Chris never did cribbing! Chris started working on December 13 2021. It was very strange thing was he had not truck of his own his son's always drove him. He also asked if he could store his tools in my garage? When he told me he had a job box, first of many lies. He said he had 55 gal barrels for water since there is not water down at the barn, which he did not have 55 gal as well. I will say he did hit bed rock but he did not have the proper machines to do the job, so I hire a friend to use his machine to brake up bedrock. Then I got hit up with him asking me for cash he was always short on cash, no money for fuel etc. I started filling like an ATM machine. He never started before noon, only time he stays late if someone one in his crew had beer. The job site was litter and always messy. Needless to say, after looking into this this guy he has a police file. A job that should have had taken few weeks turned into months with holes in the side of the foundation it was winter and yes, we had snow, but there were days that no one showed up at least 5 days in a row. 6 times I was told forms were going in and cement truck was coming, it was lies after lies. The last time he swore that the forms were going in and cement truck was coming for the 7th time he said if not done I can sell his tools. Well, this was another lie. Never happened. I then decided to end the job with Chris. The other issue was you could never get him on the phone, and text messaging too. I was told twice he lost his phone. I then texted, and sent text to his workers, since Chris used their phone so at least I had their cells too. Sent letter and certified mail and sent email saying I am ending our agreement. After 5 days I get a text saying I am coming? I picked up the phone and said, are you kidding me. I am ending the job. He said COME ON GIVE ME A SECOND CHANCE. I said are you kidding, I give you 7 chances every time you said the forms are going in and the cement truck, I said please no more chances! I told him to remove all his tools and that I removed all his tools from my garage and moved down to the barn and told him to remove all his tools. After I hang up, I got nasty text. With threats, I had to block him from my phone. He did remove all his tools except his excavator. After 12 days I had to call state police to have his tractor removed off my property which is now compounded. This contractor Chris Buckas with C&C Masonry & Concrete is a nightmare. DO NOT USE! What a nightmare!
