My husband and I discovered this place some time ago. At that time, we tried their kombucha but didn't get a chance to try their food. Now I can speak to both. The kombucha flavors rotate but it is always AMAZING. For food, I got to try all their pizzas. They're all so fresh and flavorful. I've never had cashew cheese before and think it's so good! Their daily combo special is a great way and deal to try out the pizzas. It comes with 2 slices of pizzas (any flavors), soup of the day, and cup of kombucha. Service is friendly and attentive. Folks who come in seem happy to be there and enjoy speaking to the owner and his family. The place is a bit tricky to find from the Main Street. It's one of those if 'you blink, you miss it'. There is a yoga sign out front, which helps to figure out where you're at. Parking is mainly street parking. I haven't had issues finding one. I was so glad to have found this place in a town that I didn't think would have any vegan places. While looking up for vegan places, Boocha Bar had popped up. So when we were visiting Estero Llano Grande State Park, I decided to give them a try. I called them up and placed the order for a pizza. They were almost at the closing time, but squeezed me in. The owner, Neo was super friendly, he shared the story behind Boocha. He makes pretty much everything from scratch, with local produce. He gave us a large bowl of soup which was super nice instead of the standard small that comes with the pizza as they were closing. The soup depends on what veggies he has in store. It was one of the best soups I have had. The street taco pizza was delicious. The crust wasn't too thick and chewy, the toppings and sauce tasted great. We also got mushroom hoagie (similar to bun sandwich) which was great too. He also offered Kombucha sample, generally I don't like kombucha. But this one was different. It was so good that we ended up getting a glass. They support other local businesses, he also shared some vegan places around Harlingen where I was staying which was super nice of him. They use mostly eco-friendly compostable, recyclable containers. The cafe is small, they have a few tables but it's really nicely decorated. They also have the yoga studio in the back which his wife runs. They were closed on the weekend but we made sure to pick up another pizza (Beetza) on Monday just before we left the area. Finding vegan places in smaller towns can be difficult so I was super happy to have found not only a good place but one of the best vegan places I have ever been to - from their food, drinks, service, to ambiance, everything was 5stars. This is the first review I have ever written on Yelp, and it is WELL deserved. Not only was the kombucha amazing, the food was killer too! They had 3 different flavors of kombucha, which the owner gave us a taste of each to choose what we want (the Elderberry CBD one was my favorite!). We got 3 different pizza slices, the shizz, the cauli one, and the taco pizza. The cauliflower pizza was hands down the best pizza I've ever had, seasoned PERFECTLY! They served us split pea soup to start with and it was seasoned perfectly and didn't just taste like mushy peas, sooooo yummy. The service from the owners were amazing as well. They were so attentive and super informative! To top it all off, it had such a beautiful ambiance. There are plants all over and the music choice is just absolutely perfect. For $12 each, we were able to get two slices of pizza, soup, and 9oz of kombucha. If that isn't a steal deal, I don't know what is! Thank you truly to the owners of this place! :) read more

There's no place like this strictly vegan place. They buy fresh local produce and cook only what's in season. No GMOs here. The cook is so knowledgeable in the culinary arts. All his dishes are flavored well. His food is remarkable. Never once have I been disappointed with any of their dishes. They have the best kamboocha. They take pride in their product and it is reflected in the flavors. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable in the holistic approach. The atmosphere of the taproom is calming and relaxing. You'll find yourself craving their food and booch. They carry vegan pastries and breads. They have vegan products for sale as well. They only use biodegradable products. Stop by!! I love the Boocha Bar & Taproom. It is my go-to for a plant-based lunch and plant-based dinner pizzas. Their kombucha is amazing and it's something my gut craves often.
