Didn't know what expect but didn't disappoint!…read more Came here for a girls night girls dinner and they were so generous. As an electric wheelchair user the ppl were very accommodating. Had a great table with a view of the restaurant. We ordered the agua chiles and tacos and both were very appetizing! If you enjoy alcohol the speciality drinks were definitely hitting. And at night this place turns into a night club! The vibes were great the Dj definitely played great music!

The server was a Hispanic-looking, chubby guy with black hair, and he acted like helping us was a problem. We waited about 2 hours for our food. I ordered green spaghetti with chicken on top, and when my plate came out, there was no chicken. When I asked about it, he just waved his hand at me and told me to wait, like I was bothering him. He would pass by our table and never look our way, knowing I was waiting for the other half of my food. Seems like he only cared about taking alcohol to tables. You will get dismissed if you only go to try their food. I ended up waiting another 45 minutes just for the chicken. At that point I didn't even want it anymore, but of course I still got charged extra for it, and they had the nerve to include a tip too. Then the check comes and it says "liquor," which I never ordered. When I asked about it, he responded in this condescending tone saying it was "for the chicken," like I was stupid for asking a simple question. Slow service, rude attitude, and overcharging. I would never come back and definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Spoke to other people and they've had similar experiences as well, and they stillll have the nerve to include a tip! Horrible place, servers, etc.

I went for a work luncheon of over 40 people and they were able to accommodate all of us without feeling crowded, which was impressive. Reservations were made but service was a little slow; honestly, it was reasonable given a party our size. They started each table with complimentary chips and three different salsas: a traditional red, a green avocado-jalapeño style salsa, and a creamy white salsa. The white salsa was the most flavorful--seemed like a sour cream, lime, and garlic concoction. The red and green salsas had a little heat but were a bit watery and bland. I ordered the tacos al carbon. The beef was chopped, well seasoned, and tender, just as described on the menu. It was a solid meal--nothing that completely wowed me, but nothing overly disappointing either. Overall, the food was better than okay, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant handled a very large group reasonably well. I'd come back and give Costa Messa another try, maybe during dinner to see how the experience compares.

We could have definitely shared a plate! The chips and salsas were delicious. They served us a small cup of their veggie soup broth. Delicious too. The only thing I wasn't too fond of, was their refried beans. The server was so attentive and shows he truly enjoys his job. He took his time to recommend other dishes as he encouraged us to return. He even hyped up the owner by mentioning how humble and generous he is. The interior is very spacious and can accommodate all party sizes.
