From the parking lot, the bookstore is on the left just inside the door, taking up a small nook. Don't let that fool you; there are plenty of books to be discovered in this treasure trove. Many fiction and non-fiction books are available here, with a smallish selection of children's and young adult books along the back. Most everything is $5 or less. My wife & I purchased 8 books here and paid $32 of everything. There is a parking lot next to the library, with a few spots available for library patrons for 30 minutes. Otherwise, you can pay for longer at the meters.

Unfortunately online stuff has put us in the situation where you can go into this bookstore and cover the whole place in around 15 minutes. I was looking at the "horror" section and it's okay but again, the light version. Also the fact everything is so expensive now also doesn't help. A paperback was 20 bucks. I'm not paying 20 bucks for a book I'll read once that I can get a the library for free. Magazine prices are absurd. I did find a couple that were 8 bucks but most are over ten and usually more. The blonde older European woman and another woman talked behind the counter the entire time we were there. When asking a question about a title we were searching for they give you minimal responses and continue the conversation between themselves while searching up the answer. You can't help but feel like you're interrupting them. While being rung up for the books, they continue their conversation and talk about the books you're getting like "I've heard this one is so good" and "I should one of the copies for myself" but it's never directed towards you or with any effort to loop you inter the conversation. She was unpleasant a year ago when we came in and I can't find any desire to come back when they're so many other local bookstores who I'd support first.

A new job that includes running the occasional office errand led me to this location to pick up boxes of paper and multicolored envelopes of varying sizes, and I learned this location was right around the corner from my apartment of 11 years. Silly me! Easy to find and park at, and I was greeted and helped as soon as I walked in the door. I was able to do a quick setup of a new customer account, and was helped with the heavy paper boxes to my car by a very friendly employee. I've come here…read morewith my daughter a couple of times since they opened to get supplies for my painting class at the Community Arts Center, and this store has a great selection of artist paints, from oils to acrylics to watercolor to gouache, and different brands and series at a variety of price points. Holbein, Amsterdam, and Golden were the different acrylic brands I purchased. My daughter really liked drawing with the Blackwing pencils they had on display, which are really nicely designed pencils with a super smooth, buttery feel to them, so we got a set of those as well. The staff/owner are very friendly and helpful, with a depth of knowledge about their curated selection of supplies and how to choose the ones for your particular artistic needs and budget--which is a much more enjoyable experience than being overwhelmed by online superstores with too many options. They gave me some new creative ideas, so I have several new items to add to my shopping list for my next visit. Plus, it's easy to stop by with their dedicated free parking spaces (entry to the lot off of Bonanza), so you don't have to worry about the street meters.
