I stumbled upon a post they did which was in solidarity with a group of people and seeing that our values were aligned I knew this was a local small business that I needed to be supporting from here on out. I came midweek to shop and look around, and I had a great experience. It's a smaller bookstore, but they did have a lot to choose from! I was especially happy to see that they keep up with new and trending authors/books that come out. But of course, they also had a broad selection of every type of book you could think of. Being a smaller independent bookstore they don't have mass quantity though so if you find a book you like you should grab it because they only have a copy or two of each. I found that the pricing was comparable to anywhere else but again when you shop here you're supporting local small businesses so even if it was a little pricier, it would be worth it to me. They had a cute child's/kids section in the back so it would definitely be a great place to bring your little one to look around or read a story. The vibes are welcoming, but I also appreciate when staff leave you to look around without standing over your shoulder. The gal working behind the register was super nice and checked me out with quickness, that I was in and out without issue. Nice people work here, they have a decent selection and overall it was a cute little shop that I will be back to support again soon.

There is such a huge variety of books to choose from, my go-to's are the thriller/suspense and self-help sections. They also have children's, cooking, young adult, and history sections and even CDs and puzzles! I always find such great books for a steal ranging from $1-$5. Folks are always dropping off donations daily so you'll definitely find something and if not, check again in a week. They only take cash or checks but can place books on hold for a week, if you're like me and often forget to keep cash with you. I would also recommend bringing a bag or tote to carry out all your new goodies if you're an avid reader. Honestly, coming into this book store with my boyfriend healed something in me. It brought back…read moreyears of hunting through dusty shelves with aged pages as a child with my dad looking to find that one perfect read I was allowed for the week of good schoolwork. The Sci-fi section was PACKED with trade papers, which is always a glory to behold as someone who misses the affordability and convenience books used to hold. Slipping a small trade paper of Terry Pratchett or a small copy of Little women used to be so convenient-rather than shelling out 20-30 dollars for a display piece that's bulky to carry around. The owner was also as helpful and sweet as humanly possible. He showed me right where I needed to be, and even helped me dig through the shelves to find if he had that one special edition of the secret garden he remembered having. Alas- it turned out he sold it a little while back. But all the same he was the kindest soul and most importantly had the passion in his eyes and heart for books that I look for walking into any book store, used or new. I need this experience, I needed to know places like this can still be called home. I don't like Amazon because we have so many private and pop shops that could use the revenue instead. Imagine my surprise when I walked into a store that has every single detailed item and embellishment and tool that I could possibly need for crafting school projects and my own hobbies! I walked into this amazingly large room of scrapbook hard at work, and they showed me some of the things that they have been working on, and I was blown away by the creativity and detailed beauty of their masterpieces. The ladies working here are very nice and helpful in navigating the shelves of ribbons, stickers, and the prettiest designer papers. I've also bought a few of their easy little cardboard book packages to take to craft weekends which have always looked great crafted. I went in today to buy some embossing powder. I asked the staff member as soon as I walked in and she admitted they didn't have much as it isn't a popular craft now. (None of the big box craft stores, Walmart or Graphaids had any at all). We found a couple of powders in the discount sale area and luckily one was just the green I was looking for. I had also wanted a pink too but there was none left. The staff member then went over to their own personal store supplies and found a pink and gave it to me at no charge as she "would prefer it be used than stored away". So I got 2 embossing powders for $1.71! I was tickled pink as I can now finish my project without waiting for an online purchase to arrive. I received excellent customer service, a discount and a freebie....you can't get better than that!
