She said she could send a letter to the IRS (they weren't taking calls) to enquire, but we needed to proceed without that credit. A few weeks later I called to follow up and she said it could take months to get a response from them. Months and months later, still no response. I walked into an H and R Block and explained. The preparer hopped on the phone, called the IRS and we got our answer in 10 minutes. Ten minutes. Ten months later and no response from this office. Needless to say we switched. The new tax preparer reviewed our taxes done by this office and found at least 5 major issues. What a waste of money.
