What we found today did not disappoint: Such a beautiful environment with anything and every thing you could possibly want... and a small, cute cafe in the middle of it! The staff are amazing with so many personalized personalities, you can tell that they love where they work! Something for everyone! Specified topic.. it's there! Card games.. they've got them! Stationary, D&D, national parks, candles, etc. It's great to browse, but it's better to feel like home. You get this out of Bookworm. read more

The cutest place! My husband and I stopped in here on our drive from Denver to steamboat springs, got a smoothie and a tea, and read in the cafe for a couple of hours. The book selection was pretty good, I heard the staff giving customer recommendations, and they had a lot of fun, niche gifts and knick knacks. read more

Why is this bookstore so great you ask?? Well, first, it's adorable, but it also has the most delicious food and drinks. It also is the best stocked bookstore I have seen in a mountain town yet. What a nice surprise to find a wonderful bookstore open in the off season in Edward's. I was looking for a bit of an adventure of a blustery day out of Avon and was happy to stumble this coffee shop/bookstore. There were a fair amount of locals there which is always a great sign. I had a delicious honey lavender latte, always happy to see it in a reusable mug. Even the water had reusable cups next to it. They have a large selection of children's books, along with puzzles, gifts and books. I enjoyed seeing notes by some books which had reviews done by the people who worked there. read more

Places like this are becoming rare, so to find this warm, colorful, fun, and surprising gem was truly special. The Bookworm has a delightfully broad and well-organized selection of great books, wonderful gifts, a sense of humor (the catnip packets are hilarious), book recommendations from the staff, and more. On top of that, I enjoyed a great London fog and a tasty truffle white bean soup too. The staff are kind, community- and service-oriented, and they clearly love this place. I spent much of my afternoon there, bought a fabulous book, and just may have to return again during my visit in Summit County. read more

Adorable and well stocked bookstore with attached coffee shop. I love the selection, recommendations and even brief descriptions on many of the books. The cafe had indoor and outdoor limited seating options but comfy cozy as you'd expect. Honestly, the Fitzgerald crepes (cheesecake filling, strawberries and crushed graham cracker) and the vanilla latte together were one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I found a great sticker and book on Mushrooms for my teen and a cute Colorado themed Halloween book for my son. Worth the visit! read more

The Bookworm of Edwards is one of the most charming spots here in Edwards! Easily accessible from Highway 6, The Bookworm is located in the Riverwalk at Edwards plaza and has plenty of free parking. They have a wide variety of books, magazines, stationary, and unique gift items. They also have a cafe where you can order coffee and tea beverages, crepes, toasts, smoothies, soups, and salads. The crepes are delicious here and some of my personal faves would have to be the Julia Child (nutella with strawberries or banana) and the Green Eggs & Ham (ham, gruyere, spinach, fried egg). I love the Giving Tree Toast as well, which is their version of an avocado toast. They sell a variety of other gourmet food items from companies such as Deep River Snacks potato chips, Altitude Snacks dried fruit and nut blend, Skinny Dipped almonds, Justin's chocolate peanut butter cups, Curly Girl Design and Compartes chocolate bars, Candy Club candies, Persephone Bakery animal crackers and granola, and Blushing Wren tea. They also sell bags of Bearded Man Coffee and Novo Coffee, with Novo Coffee being the coffee they serve. When you're at The Bookworm you get a sense of community with store events, monthly newsletters, and a reward system (after you spend $200 you get a $10 credit). The book selection is fabulous here, and all the food and beverage items that I've had have been great! The service has always been friendly, on my recent visit Whitney helped me at the cafe counter and she was a true delight. If you're in the Edwards/Avon area or if you fly into Vail, you must stop by The Bookworm, it's a cool spot with WiFi, great food, and books for everyone to enjoy! read more

I've consistently given them 5 star reviews, but I can't do it this time. I asked them for a children's book about disabilities. The clerk looked and looked. And then stated she couldn't find the ONE book they have on this topic. They claim to be inclusive and diverse. They have a huge display of books for LGBTQ children, adolescents and adults. But no children's books on disabilities. 13% of US people have a disability. 7% of US people are LGBTQ. This book store shows ableism in their lack of books for people who are disabled. read more

Such a unique bookshop and cafe. We came for coffee and breakfast and ended up buying books. I had the Don Quixote crepe- so savory and delicious! And my hubby had the breakfast sandwich with the fresh sour dough- the bread alone made the sandwich. Definitely a fun place with cute gifts also. read more

Huge disappointment! Stopped here for coffee wanting to support the smaller business instead of the Starbucks adjacent to it. Service was fair. Ordered a large hazelnut latte with almond milk. It cost almost $8 and tasted horrible. Very bitter. Their "large" was the size of most medium drinks at every other coffee place. It was undrinkable and I tossed it. This is a beautiful bookstore in Edwards, with a wonderful cafe in the back of the store. The cafe serves soups and salads but it is best known for its crepes (my favorite is the banana walnut crepe that doesn't appear to be on the menu anymore). They've since branched out into toasts, with a requisite avocado toast with greens and drizzled with lemon and olive oil. Any toast can be made GF for a $3 up charge. They have lots of tasty snacks too: chocolate, cookies, and GF items.The espresso is very good because they use Novo coffee. My only complaint is that everything is on the pricey side. For many years now we've enjoyed stopping by Bookworm for a coffee and a bite to eat on our way to and from the Western Slope. read more

TL;DR: A rarity in this age of the internet and mega-chain coffee shops - A real independent bookstore with a top-notch cafe. We pop in here to get coffee, crepes or smoothies whenever we are passing through Edwards. Their menu items are all named after books like the "Clockwork Orange" smoothie (Carrot, pineapple, banana, orange juice), the "Huck Finn" crepe (PB, huckleberry jam, powdered sugar) or the "Scarlet Letter" salad (turkey, green apples, brie, cranberries). Almost everything is fairly priced and the quality is far superior to other offerings in the "River Walk" shopping center it is nested in. There is a pretty standard book & magazine selection, although a friend commented that they only stock "Leftist estrogen-soaked magazines" inferring that there is a glaring absence of topics like outdoor sports, computers, etc. which would be of interest to male readers. We'll be back, and I urge you to check it out if you ever find yourself in the area and craving a Vitamin-C laden smoothie or some regional hi-caffeine coffee (or even a "Leftist estrogen-soaked magazine"). read more

Creatively arranged shelves & displays that lured me all the way around the store. Exceptional Service here ~ friendly, approachable, knowledgeable. Stumbled across this place by accident while wandering the shopping area. We LOVE it! Quiet, dining area is spaced out for COVID, and a wonderful selection of books for all ages. I love this place. The crepes are delicious and the coffee is pretty decent as well. I generally have the grilled cheese crepe and tomato soup every time I'm here because it is amazing. They use Gruyere cheese in the crepe and no cream in the soup and it is delicious. As far as the bookstore goes, this is a great place for books as well as gifts. They have a great selection of Colorado authors, cookbooks, children's books, and travel books. Their merchandise is definitely higher end and while it is marked up quite a bit, this is to be expected considering its location. Let me put it this way: last season, after a week of skiing with a variety of friends, one of them pointed out that nothing interferes with my AM routine - get up, clean up, then off to the bookworm to fuel up & digest the news/blogs, then off to ski/bike/hike.
