Cocktails were marvelous as was the dinner wine. Appetizers consisted of Maine lobster tartar, lobster bisque and lapin ravioli, which was rabbit and banana confit. All delicately delicious! Main courses were yellowfin tuna, roasted elk and beef tenderloin in green pepper and cognac sauce. All marvelous. We held our recent wedding and reception at Mirabelle at Beaver Creek and could not be more pleased with the day. We have dined there on our frequent visits to Beaver Creek and knew that the ambiance, food, and service would be ideal for our very special day. We curated and coordinated our menu, beverages, and schedule of events with Nathalie Joly, owner and wife of chef Daniel Joly. Nathalie is organized, discerning, and insightful. Mirabelle hosts many weddings and Nathalie offered compelling suggestions to make our day perfect. Mirabelle is housed in a charming 1898 homestead on the mountain at Beaver Creek. The ceremony was held in the front room which is a lovely, cozy room that easily accommodated our party of 30. Nathalie ensured that it was set up properly and had a roaring fire going for our event. Our dinner reception was in a large private room that was again perfect for our group. Mirabelle offered several menu options and we selected a four-course service that started with a Red Beet confit diced salad featuring sheep yogurt and a hazelnut champagne vinaigrette. This was followed by Lobster Tail with roasted acorn spinach, mascarpone espuma, and braised asparagus tips. This course alone could have been the signature! Everyone had a choice between Sea Bass with artichoke mousseline and chimichurri, Colorado Ranch Beef Tenderloin with Brussels sprouts and a cabernet reduction sauce, or Roasted Duck with a five spice chestnut fruit preserve and caramelized lotus root chips. Dessert was a Banana and Rum Pavlova featuring mascarpone chantilly, candied banana, and rum granite. Mirabelle has an extensive and impressive wine cellar. We paired our dinner with a 2023 Piatelli Premium Reserve Malbec, a 2022 Willamette Valley Resonance Pinot Noir, a 2022 Castello della Sala Bramito del Carvaro Chardonnay, and a 2023 Scarpetta Pinot Grigio. The food and wine was exceptional and everything was served briskly and efficiently. There is a reason that Mirabelle is listed in the Michelin Guide. I need to remember the Mirabelle more often when we come up to Vail. It's such a nice experience with welcoming service and delicious flavors. We came on a snowy night and parked right by the barn next to the farmhouse. It was a Monday night so we were the first to be seated. I appreciated how they seated everyone so we all had a little privacy. Our server checked on us often, sometimes just subtly walking past. I appreciated he didn't always interrupt us. The food was amazing. It was filling and flavorful and healthy. We left very satisfied and would love to come back again. read more

We have been eating at Beaver Creek and Vail all week and Mirabelle's is easily in the top two. The historic ranch house was charming and the service was professional. We purchased a gift card for this restaurant at the Denver Beaujolais Charity event and finally made a weekend out of it. I made a reservation on their website which required a credit card to prevent no shows. When we arrived the restaurant is very different from most, tucked away out of site and very European looking. The house is very French, cozy and inviting. We really wanted to enjoy their back deck but unexpected rain ruined it. The staff is very professional and know every ingredient in their delicious dishes. We indulged in their summer menu, which was accurately posted on their website. This place is really cute, it's an old house turned restaurant. The service was great, our French waiter was great at pacing the food and checking in. Although it was a slow start and we were hungry. The food: The stone fruit salad was a major disappointment. I expected sweet peaches from Palisades, instead it was very mediocre. The foie gras was very well executed. A bit surprised there was no brioche with it, but they split it for us and that was great. The lamb was well executed, but the dish lacked creativity. It was solid but not anything special. The elk was in the same boat, good, but not something that surprised our taste buds or we would come back to eat. I love French food and was hoping to have more modern, creative dishes that left an impression. read more

If quality over quantity with an appreciation for fine European style cuisine floats your boat, then come to Mirabelle. Master Chef Daniel Joly who trained in Michelin starred restraints in Brussels and his wife run the show, and have done so for over two decades. A four course tasting menu is available for only $90, with any of the special items also available a la carte. We choose to create our own six course tasting menu combining some of the regular menu items with some specials from the tasting menu and having them split so we could enjoy all six items each. There is a good size wine list with a special emphasis on France but good representation from California as well, including labels like DuMol, Peter Michael, Phelps, Caymus, Plumpjack, Hundred Acre, Lewis and Aubert to name a few. About 12 wines are offered by the glass ranging from $11-29, with some half bottles and about 12 choices for bubbles. We started with a Crudo special, then the Lobster Salad, Beef, Lamb, Sole and ended with a special dessert with fresh peach, strawberries and mint. Everything was outstanding, even the smallest accompaniments to every dish like the baby grilled artichokes sung. We washed everything done with a bottle of Turley Zin, which always hits the spot for us. If you have to choose between Grouse Mountain Inn and Mirbabelle, choose Mirabelle. Visiting Beaver Creek for a work related meeting and our group of 10, went to dinner at Mirabelle on Saturday night. The ambiance was charming and warm on a cold winter's night. The cocktails were delicious. The appetizers, salads and main courses were delicious as well. The wait staff was very attentive. Overall, we had a Wonderful experience. I later found out my Uncle has know the Owner/Chef for many years and he has never had a bad experience either. I highly recommend Mirabelle for a special experience. A must eat place for us whenever we come to Beaver Creek. Amazing food so well prepared with wonderful amuse bouche and breadsticks (gluten free!). A special shout out to Paige our server who we had the privilege of seeing twice this year! She is such a gem. Hubs had the duck, I had the scallops, and son had the salmon with some fries. I like the atmosphere at this cozy intimate Belgium restaurant which offers a 4-course tasting menu (wine pairing optional) beside a la carte. Step inside this 'house' and there's a nice living room/waiting area with a fireplace to your left. Walk into the dinning room, each table was set with a rice and beans tomato flatbread on a stone which I enjoyed a lot. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing. First course was Yellowtail Tartar, 2nd was Halibut, then Roasted Elk Tenderloin Filet, and last was desserts. Mirabelle is one of our favorite restaurants in the Beaver Creek- Vail area. We have never been disappointed. The server brought us a complimentary amuse-bouche with caviar that was to die for! We ordered the special tomato basil soup. It was non-cream based and quite delicious. We also had a mixed green salad that was very served on a chilled dish. For our entrees, the Maine lobster casserole over Asian infused lemongrass and pineapple rice was great as was the Norwegian Halibut with short rib ravioli. Service was attentive throughout. Worth a visit, but understand that size matters. Couples: The bar is a must for cozy conversation. Diners: Large group experiences seldom offer a proper comparison to personal or small group visits. Your mileage will certainly vary with the headcount. Tucked neatly just inside the Beaver Creek resort gate, Mirabelle is on-property at Beaver. If you're trapped in on-mountain accommodations without a car, the restaurant is accessible by the free village transit buses. My group received prix fixe options, so comparison to the daily card is uncertain, though I must assume the dishes were from the current menu. The beef plate was a disappointing attempt at Western-fusion of Boeuf en Croute meets Yellowstone with thumbs down by all served for each of flavor, temperature, and texture. The salmon plate struck a solid win as did dessert (which we should expect from a French-inspired kitchen.) I would think twice before returning with a group as the restaurant seems geared toward a more intimate experience. Yet, staff worked diligently to please our group and correct any issues, so keep that in mind. read more

All of the courses were delicious, presented and broken down correctly. The pairings were interesting and so were the cocktails. Amazing evening Tuesday evening started off to a good start, when we were delayed 45 minutes and I had to call the host to inform her. I was expecting to be disappointed, as I was unable to obtain a reservation after 5:45. To my surprise, Mirabelle could not have been more accommodating. So, when we arrived at 6:20, with tail between my legs, once again, we were greeted enthusiastically as if we were right on time. Enough about my lack of timeliness! We were shown to a small room with another couple--social distancing--on the other side. The ambience was wonderful and intimate. Our server was fantastic and patient while I selected a wine from the list containing tons of great wine. We settled on a Rhone and and devoured delicious, warm bread. I never pass up an opportunity to order Dover Sole when I find it on a menu, and last Tuesday was no exception. Prepared simply in the classic French style, the sole was perfectly light, mild, with a hint of lemon, olive oil, and butter. I shared salad and sides with my wife. All four of us ordered soufflé for dessert. The soufflés were served straight from the oven--the tops sat at about double the height of the ramekin, before we punctured the tops and poured in the delicious sauces, and collapsing on themselves. Mirabelle at Beaver Creek Resort is such a beautiful restaurant. It has the charm of a classic Colorado cottage, but the experience of upscale dining. It's very intimate and warm. You feel as though you're eating in someone's lovely living room. The owner even came around to the tables asking how everything was, that's always a nice touch to see they care. This was my first time in Colorado so I had to try the famous Colorado lamb and this was a great example of what Colorado lamb should be; tender, juicy and just mildly gamey. If that wasn't enough, our expert server came around with a dessert cart, which made it impossible to say no, and I'm glad I didn't. The sweet savory creme brûlée couldn't beat. We also ordered a trio of Belgium chocolate mousse. When you have a Michelin star trained master chef, from Belgium, making the chocolates....well you know it's going to be unreal. How is this place not rated 5 star?!?! My wife and I had dinner there tonight after a referral from a friend that ate there three weeks ago. We were hesitant as we typically try to stick with 4star plus ratings but it seemed quaint. Thank God we chose to go anyhow. It's a beautiful house situated off resort and the inside has a comfortable romantic vibe. I looked at the menu and was not initially impressed. We ordered the elk, lobster, tuna and (2) leek soups to start. They brought bread to start and the butter was amazing. The leek soups were also amazing and my wife said "I could eat this every night" and wished she had the recipe. It was off to a great start. The main courses arrived and once again, Amazing! The elk was tender and not gamey, paired with other delicious ingredients and flavors. The lobster was full of surprises as it was placed on an onion ring and surrounded by mussels, vegetables, sauce etc. Very unique and amazing! My wives tuna dish was great too and it was also paired with unique ingredients and flavors. We were so full and on the verge of being sick but everything was so delightful we had to see if the dessert would be just as good. We got the strawberry rubarb. It was light, delicious and a great ending to a terrific meal. We have eaten many terrific meals at expensive restaurants prior but this is definitely in the top 5 ever, equal or better to Miami, NYC, London, Cali etc. We can't wait to visit again next time we're in town. read more

While Mirabelle has a good reputation, I question whether it is deserved. On their best nights, they have good food and so-so service, but on their bad nights it is pretty terrible. The entire place has a haughty air to it and the co-owner who runs the front of the house is rude and arrogant. Our last trip to Mirabelle was one of their bad nights. Our server was not very good and rarely was around when we needed him. Plates were cleared slowly and drinks were not delivered promptly. In fairness to him, he was clearly overworked and had too many tables. But that falls on the owners, who need to make sure they have enough staff when they are charging top dollar for their food. Many things went wrong. The bottle of wine brought to the table was a different vintage than was on the wine list and no explanation was offered. We ordered two different soups at the table and both came out cold. The plate that my lamb was delivered on was scolding hot without any warning so I burned my finger when I tried to move it. To make things even worse, the lamb was overcooked. They brought out a new order of lamb that was cooked as ordered relatively quickly and it was quite good, but they need to do better given the price point they occupy. You would think with everything that went wrong that the women who runs the dining room (one of the co-owners) would stop by our table and at least apologize. That did not happen even though she walked by our table numerous times. There are lots of great restaurants in the Vail Valley. I recommend spending your money at a place that cares about their customers. read more

I had dined at Mirabelle a couple years ago and enjoyed it so I rebooked diner reservations for 2 nights for this ski trip. On Tuesday evening our group of 3 all selected the Chef's Diner, 2 of us selected the seared fois gras to be added to our elk filet. We added side salads which were generous portions and delicious. The portions of the fois gras and elk filet were not consistent and fois gras between plates differed greatly. While everything was tasty and the service prompt despite a full restaurant, I would recommend more consistent plating coming out of the kitchen. On our second visit our group consisted of 5, 3 of us enjoyed the dover sole, while the other 2 enjoyed filets- elk and beef. Everyone had a great meal and wonderful time. Thank you. read more

Where do i start? First, i am shocked after 30 years of coming to Vail we never went to the Mirabelle at beaver creek. This week we decided we wanted to try some new restaurants... the mirabelle is now my favorite restaurant of all of Vail and of course all of Beaver Creek. I know Foie Gras very well and this FG was perhaps the best i have ever had! The seafood papillote was not on the menu anymore, but the chef made it with halibut and it was beyond amazing.
