This is an awesome facility and I truly enjoy spending time there. There's something for everyone no matter what your fitness goals are-- during my time as a member I've gone from "taking a break" from working out and doing a lot of yoga/relaxing and now currently getting back into a bodybuilding program. The gym offers a variety of equipment and I never have to improvise due to lack of equipment. I might be staying the obvious here, but if you are into powerlifting, I would probably go elsewhere. The cardio machines are brand new and really nice. The actual place itself is very clean. I feel totally comfortable showering in the locker room and they have everything you need- towels, body wash, lotion, razors, etc. The outdoor pool is really pretty and nice to relax at after a workout. Staff is super nice and helpful. I have yet to buy any food from the cafe but it looks good. Definitely some good options if you're in a bind or spending a long time there. I will gladly pay the extra $ to train in a clean and peaceful gym.

She informed guest passes are no longer allowed because theft at the gym was high and that the AC may not be working upstairs. When I was 15 years old a mass shooting occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which I only lived about 10 minutes away from and tragically, 17 students and teachers died. Needless to say this devastated the community, including the soccer community. One of the victims, Alyssa Alhadeff and I used to play together on the Miramar Fields. While it had been many years since I had seen her, losing her in such a cruel and senseless way definitely affected me and my my team. The game that we played here took place a few days after the shooting. Everyone in the community was in a very bad place mentally, but before the game we did a moment of silence, and read off every name that we lost. We taped Alyssa's number on our wrists and cleats. It was a touching moment in such a dark time, and I believe I will remember it the rest of my life.

I saw an ad for the Aescape robot massage…read morewhile scrolling Facebook - Aescape places these massage machines in different gyms and spas, so I picked the Equinox in Aventura since it was the closest. Check-in at the main gym front entrance was quick and pleasant , but once I got to the desk in the spa area it took a minute to find anyone to actually help me. Eventually someone showed me to the room and had me change into the little fitted top and bottom they provide. You also take off your shoes and jewelry and put your hair up so the machine arms don't get caught. Everything is computerized [no surprise there] When you lie face-down, there's basically an iPad-esque screen right under you. From this screen you pick your massage style, pressure, focus areas, ambiance music, adjust the table... all of it. Then the machine scans your body to map out your stress points like it's building a strategic plan for your back. FYI -- if you move, even a little, the machine pauses until you're back in position. I chose the full-body massage with extra attention on my shoulders. Each section had phases -- a warm-up, the main massage, and a cooldown. You can skip past any section if you want and adjust pressure at any time. Now, my mind kept flashing to every robot movie I've ever seen but honestly? This was one of the best massages I've had. The machine knew exactly where my shoulder knots were hiding. When I finished, there was nobody at the tiny spa desk again, so I just quietly walked out. Wasn't sure what else to do lol I give the massage itself 5 stars, but took one off because the spa area felt completely unattended both when I walked in and when I walked out. I wasn't even sure if I was supposed to check out with someone or just disappear into the sunset I will say I recall the person who helped me saying it was a relatively new addition to the gym [I think], and I did receive a follow up text asking about my experience. We have been at Perseverance for over a year now and I am so thankful for the program…read more Every season of the year Perseverance hosts a new basketball league from ages k-6th grade and even some through middle school. If your kid is interested in basketball, this is the only option if you want your kid to develop in a league with zero parent involvement and exceptional coaches. Recently we tried PBGYAA recreation league and I was amazed at how unprofessional and, to be quite honest, dangerous that the basketball games were. Palm Beach Gardens is known for having a bunch of professional golfers in the area. One of them donated 30k and his son's team won the championship in a game where the bias from the referees was undeniable. My son was in a lower division and, not only was the officiating biased, but the games were brutal and violent. For example, when a player would beat the opponent off of the dribble, the defender would tackle him. The shocking part is that the referees did not blow the whistle or award free throws ever. I shot film of the games and asked Benji, the commissioner of the league, if I could send him the footage. He replied "I was watching both games at the same time and they were called right." I told him "I understand why you don't want to see the footage. It is because you know that what i am telling you has merit and you are too stubborn to acknowledge any mistakes by you or your biased referees." I am including the PBGYAA experiences here because the league does not have a yelp that I can see and I'm hopeful that others will take this post to heart when deciding which basketball league to put their kid in. Me personally; we will be avoiding PBGYAA like the plague and sticking with Perseverance only from here on out: Hope that this helps anybody whose kid is interested in basketball. Perseverance really is special and we are so thankful to Nate, the founder, Coach Austin, and everybody involved with the program.

Hi, I highly…read morerecommend reading this email in its entirety, as I am writing genuinely for the benefit and protection of your tournament--not out of malice, frustration, or an attempt to challenge a match result. I'm reaching out as a business-to-business courtesy regarding an incident during this evening's matches, shortly before the official lightning and rain delay was called. A player in your tournament, who is a minor, asked whether play could be stopped because the court had become wet and slippery and lightning was visibly striking overhead. The opposing player also attempted to address the court conditions, yet those concerns were disregarded. Rather than stopping to assess the conditions or even allowing both players to fully voice their concerns, the referee repeatedly pointed toward the court and spoke to the player in a manner demanding that she continue playing. The player subsequently lost a point after being unable to safely run for a ball on the wet court. Only moments later, play was officially suspended because of the rain and lightning. To be very clear, we are not contacting you to dispute the point or the outcome. That is not the purpose of this email. Our concern is specifically the referee's judgment, conduct, and disregard for the safety concerns being raised by both players. From a professional standpoint, this is concerning from both a safety and liability perspective. Consider, hypothetically, that this interaction may have been captured on video: a minor expressing that she did not feel safe because of visible lightning and slippery court conditions, the opposing player also attempting to raise concerns, and an official nevertheless repeatedly directing her to continue playing. If an injury had occurred immediately afterward, such a recording could present a particularly concerning account of how clearly communicated safety concerns were handled and could expose the tournament and those responsible for the event to significant scrutiny and potential liability. That hypothetical alone demonstrates why this should be taken seriously. A tournament should never be in a position where a recording could show a minor raising an immediate safety concern, having that concern dismissed, and being directed to continue competing in potentially dangerous conditions. This is not about winning or losing a point. It is about ensuring that young players can raise legitimate safety concerns without being ignored, intimidated, or pressured to continue. Thankfully, nobody was injured. I'm bringing this directly to your attention because I believe addressing the referee's conduct and reinforcing appropriate safety procedures now is far preferable to having a similar situation result in an avoidable injury in the future.
