Couple nicely shade gazebos. Scenic bridge used by many for special photo sessions. Large pond with ducks, fish, and turtles. The local Skateboard Park is located to the west of this park, next to The Burkburnett Boys & Girls Club. I myself often use the Bike Path in the evening with a long ride. A very nice path to use for biking, walking, or jogging.

Today, 2 lifeguards on the pool. No one on the kiddy area. Not a huge issue, except older kids sometimes take over the kiddy area and you have to stay right on top of your little ones to keep them from being knocked down. The staff is not very helpful. They won't even make change for the vending machines. The machines should take cards, but they don't. Bring food and drink if they allow it. I'm not sure if they do. Finally, I saw kids getting in trouble for jumping off the side sometimes other times not. Had them ask me if I had a swimsuit last time. Told me I HAD TO. HAVE a swimsuit to get in the pool. Saw some people 4 today that were swimming in street clothes. One woman had on pants. Another in yoga pants. Different lifeguards allow different things. Rules seemed to be unevenly applied.

We have installed a pool before, so we have a good understanding of what to expect during the…read moreprocess. Initially, we were pleasantly surprised by how quickly Emerald Waters Pool completed our pool installation. Unfortunately, we soon realized the speed came at the expense of doing the job correctly. The biggest issue was that the required city inspections were never completed before construction moved forward. Will advanced the project all the way to the final inspection, where the city rejected the entire project. We then spent approximately two and a half months waiting for everything to be corrected and approved before we could finally move forward with the plaster. Even after receiving city approval, the problems continued. The site had not been properly prepared before the plaster was applied, resulting in it having to be installed twice. Then, just three weeks after installation, the color began fading, which was clearly not normal. We contacted Will about the issue but never received a response. We also discovered that the waterfall was installed off-center, another quality control issue that should have been caught during construction. In addition to the pool, we hired Emerald Waters Pool to install a patio and walkway. The workmanship was disappointing. The pavers was neither straight nor level without constant supervision, and we had to insist that sections be redone because they were not installed correctly. To make matters worse, some of the additional work we paid for was never completed. It is also worth noting that the work performed outside of the pool installation was never covered by a written contract, which appeared to avoid documenting that portion of the project. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Emerald. Between the missed inspections, poor workmanship, lack of communication, and incomplete work, the project became far more stressful and time-consuming than it should have been. We strongly encourage anyone considering this company to continue their search for a builder that prioritizes quality, communication, and accountability.

They value safety and always have a surplus of lifeguards, ready to help. I've never seen the facilities anything less than clean, including the bathrooms and the food area. They offer many fun programs throughout the summer, including movie nights and mother and son pool party date night, and are always so organized and helpful. This overall organization and attention to detail is an accurate representation of the parks and rec department overall. They put on many community events and I've never been disappointed is anything I've attended. Their concessions stand isn't super varied, but it has all of the standard summer fair and is well priced. Also right next to the pool is hardwood park, which is a large, well-maintained Park with multiple playgrounds and plenty of space to run and play and picnic. Come hang out this (or any) summer and enjoy the pool!

I had 3 kids with me and basically never take younger kids with you or bring ear plugs. The "lifeguards" love to blow their whistle so often you hear nothing but that...its sad because my 2 year old ended up swimming back and forth that day but in an attempt to get to me she touched the rope and got the whistle blown at her. My 8 year old was having a wonderful time using their swing rope until he was randomly told to get down and he was no longer able to use it because he was in a life vest...there was a summer program there and the children were actively doing the EXACT same thing with life jackets on. It was a bit harsh to handle the child like this as he was swimming and doing something he had been allowed to do many times prior to this. He didnt know what he did wrong due to him already doing this activity and I am thankful I was close by to catch the interaction between the lifeguard and my child. Sad with our experience as we are local to community and would have loved to make this a weekly summer outing. WOULD RECCOMEND THE DECATUR SPLAH PARK 100x OVER!
