The owner is great to work with, the cabin is always clean which you don't always get with up north rentals, there is plenty of space for our large group and tons of amenities including great wifi, awesome view of the flowage from the large deck and a newly remodeled kitchen. I would recommend this lodge to anyone looking for the up north experience in a large space with all the comforts of home.

The lodge itself was spacious and comfortable but well worn. If you require cell phone or internet do not stay here. The TV has about 8 channels that are watchable about 25% of the time. The advertised Cellular amplifier tower system with indoor aerial does not work. We had zero cell phone ( 5G T Mobile ) connectivity at the lodge. It was a nice stay with a fantastic view but not worth the price.

At the minimum they should've given us a discount or provided bottled water but they didn't. Their service level is bottom feeder level. They're trying to sell the place at least they were a couple years ago and they're just doing a money grab and don't care about service. I wanna expose these people for who they are, which is not taking any responsibility and making everything the fault of their guests. We went to this place for over 10 years in a row with declining service every year. This was the final straw. Even if they fixed it, which they probably did this tells you who they are. I got to home water testing kit, spending over $200 on a device and the iron measured 586 per million and they lied and said it was less than 20. look at the photos, they do not lie.

I'd more expect something like this in Japan, where the standard of modernization is 15 years ahead of the West. Well. You make your reservations, and they give you a door code. Don't try on getting in until the exact moment of check-in time. Even at check-in time the code didn't work, 'cos they forgot a line on the instructions printed on the door. Lucky the pleasant Owners were there to tip us off. It's a nice, old-style Motor Lodge. Single floor. No restaurant. No vending machines either. Make sure you get your beverages and snacks before returning to the Hotel. Your code is your key to get in the front door, AND to get in your room. The place is comfy and clean-the rooms were fine. Decent mattresses and pillows. No phones in the rooms, either. It's a little creepy, though, knowing there isn't a front desk. I didn't see anyone else other than the folks in our party, even though there were other cars in the lot. It's REAL quiet and still in the North North, weird for a city boy like me, but once you tamp down that wilderness anxiety, the clean air and forest vibe is a recipe for fine sleep. And, oh yes. Make sure you get your ass packed up and out of the place BEFORE the checkout time, 'cos your code will NOT work after that time. A strange but ultimately fine stay. Throwing 5... epilogue: Ignore the horseshit about the owners being rude,etc.. This is a small independent Hotel made for people to sleep and bathe in. It's not the Waldorf-Astoria. There is no concierge, and no one to be a servant for you. There's no on-site staff to answer your whims. It's pretty bare-bones and there are charges for the few frills available.
