I find there staff at John Lewis very helpful. They're not just knowledgeable in the products that they are selling but the are exceptionally friendly too. I feel that John Lewis has a reputation for being pricier than the average high street shop selling the same or similar products. Whether there is any truth in that, I'm not sure.

Evans has a section, so does Monsoon, so does Top Shop. Cosmetic counters flank the front of the store, next to the wig shop and hair salon and a few sticks of furniture are sold in the basement.

It wasn't easy to find everything - the kitchen department is a bit haphazard, but if you hunt you'll eventually find what you're after. The main problem with the store in Welwyn Garden City is the building. There are three floors and it's a maze. Different areas are in separate small rooms so it's very difficult to find what you're looking for. I feel like a floor plan or more signs would be really helpful because it would be very easy to get lost. The website suggests there's store parking (for a fee), but even if you can't find that there are many options nearby.

That's a lot of trouble shooting at home, engineer visits, days off and call centre pass arounds without a functioning washer/dryer for your family - only to have very little faith it will last much longer than 3 years (for quite alot of money). The lifespan might not be much more than 3 years. Think carefully if you are happy with this approach. Never asked John Lewis before for a replacement in 20 years. John Lewis passed the buck for machine replacement request to Electrolux on this one. It seems the guarantee action and control is with Electolux rather than John Lewis. Electrolux refused and John Lewis went along with it. John Lewis are acting very close to the line on consumer protection law based on their advertising claims. Karim from customers services was very helpful but could not do any more. Apparently Jennifer from Electrolux stated 2 repair claims in the last year coming up to guarantee end did not merit a replacement and the standard of goods is normal. Take from this what you will.

No travel accessories, food and drink etc like many places nearby. Surely as they own supermarket chain Waitrose having a small fridge would be useful and very easy to do? If you were to add it all up retail, it would probably cost you about $8. The sandwiches are actually really good, my favorite was the chicken avacado with a pesto dressing. For sides i would either pick the crisps or if i want to be healthy then the carrots and hummus. I wish the carrots were crispy though, most of the times they were soggy and limp. This is a great on the go meal or something simple you can easily take back to your hotel if your trying to save a little money. Also for a 2 liter bottle of water for 50 pc, this was a better value than the ones next door at the Sainsbury local.
