They stock all of the basics as well as having a whole aisle devoted to haircare - covering brands from Wash and Go, Aussie, Tresemme and Head and Shoulders to James Brown and Sami. Their vitamin section is comprehensive, men are well catered for and the makeup is relatively good - no bigger Superdrug brands like MeMeMe, but they have GOSH, Miss Sporty and New York Colour as well as Maybelline, Loreal, Rimmel and the like. There are a few perfumes behind the counter, but most lack testers and the selection is more commercial - you can get the cheaper and more widely advertised Diesel, J-Lo, DKNY and Paco Rabanne scents, but not Marc Jacobs, Dior or Nina Ricci. There's also a small sweets and dieting foods section, with a chiller; they stock Powerade and Skinny Water amongst others. I find that I use Superdrug more for makeup and more niche products I can't get in Boots, especially as products are more expensive and their loyalty card doesn't offer nearly as good rewards as the Advantage card. It is, however, a nice place to shop and I'd probably go in more often if I got more points for my purchases.

Situated at the bottom of market street they are easy to miss, but once inside you will be glad you didn't! they have fantastic range of health and beauty products. They also stock baby toiletries and home goods like washing up liquid and kitchen towel. They sell chocolate, crisps and drinks. The aisles are wide and well laid out. They have 3 tills and sell stamps and mobile top ups from here. Behind these tills are an extensive perfume range that is very competitive. I have been known to come out here laden with shopping bags and you must regularly check for their weekly offers.

Superdrug is a brand which either has good or terrible stores based on past experiences from Manchester to London, Liverpool to Brighton and across England - but this store offers facilities I've never seen in a Superdrug store before including a salon for women, and a barbers for men - normally they just have a small area of the store for women's beauty as this is a health and beauty retailer as well as a pharmacy, but it catered for men in that department too, offering a dry cut for the low price of £14 which is pretty good for the city centre, I've paid a lot more than that back home in Manchester too! The beverage selection was also pretty large, sadly it didn't have any Lipton drinks (these seem to have been replaced with fuze tea in every branch) or Starbucks beverages (some stores have these) The store, in general, was pretty modern and had a good range of products. When it is busy they tend to utilise the till right at the front of the store away from the pharmacy for those not needing anything from the pharmacy. They have a small section of make up and skin care but the basics are usually there and they have all the same offers as the bigger stores, and I have found when no 17 or no 7 give away freebies with purchases this store has them in stock more than the larger ones.

They also seem to have very little choice in meal deals for some reason. They also do that annoying thing where they spray perfume on you as you walk past - always makes me sneeze or choke. Debenhams are still a large store with 178 stores in The UK, Ireland and Denmark and were founded back in 1778. This branch of Debenhams is located in the Bullring mall, with enterences from both street and mall level, it is a decent sized store too. The lifts here were pretty slow, and they didn't show much signal of it working, and although it was, I didn't know it was in use, so I nearly just walked away, which was disappointing It is quite a large store with a Brow Bar, Salon and Cafe and quite a few floors as well. I didn't have any close encounters with staff to comment on, they seemed okay, just average. The signposts for what is on which floor in the store could be better advertised, this store is okay but it is nothing more than that, the building its-self isn't as nice as other department stores mentioned, and in a way it has a less high-end feel, which makes it a little less special in a way, especially to tourists and potential shoppers.

Last month I came in as I had a 5% off voucher on multiple purchases so I bought underwear on one floor, then on another day some clothes for a wedding. When I got home I inspected the receipt and worked out though it said 5% off, nothing was actually deducted! I took one dress back as I didn't wear it for a wedding and mentioned there was nothing deducted! She said it's not on all concessions ... Something the other two cashiers didn't say when scanning the clothes! I've given them four stars as I do go to the beauty department to buy skin and hair care. I do ask for samples and majority will give them .., more so with a purchase! I like to walk away with something extra!! Lol They have a beauty points card which is useful and worth collecting points. You get money off when you earn enough.
