I can't comment on the food because it's been some years that I've eaten there. I called a few days ago to ask whether they have rotisserie chicken. I asked specifically for "ein halbes gegrilltes Hähnchen" and got a yes as an answer. I didn't make it that day. Yesterday I called again and asked twice for the same dish and got a yes again. When I arrived after a half hour drive I was told they have grilled chicken breast only. Apparently the owners German is very poor. Someone could expect from a restaurant owner to know basic food names in the language of the country he lives in. read more

If you are visiting the home town of Schiller then this restaurant is a must. They have a huge…read moreselection of German and Swabian food. I had the Maultaschen Schiller and it was soo delicious. The plates are huge so be ready. I was not able to finish mine as hard as I tried. If you get a schnitzel you will hear the pounding in the back as they make it fresh. The service was fast and very good. I loved their salad which was very typical of that area where you get a little bit of different greens and vegetables.
