However, the worker that checked me in was slightly rude because she didn't understand what she was doing. She actually didn't know if I needed to change a couple things on my roll. Then she wasn't sure if a hard copy of the voter's registration is being mailed out. It's not. Everything is kept online these days. She actually acted as if it was my fault. I brought a friend who had an expired drivers license and no mail from her current address. However, she still voted. The building is clean. No air conditioning inside. The center has private front lot parking.

First to review (FTR), woohoo!…read more I attended a surprise birthday party at this venue, and it was an absolute blast! The community center was spacious, open, and bright. With about 100 guests, there was still plenty of room for everyone to sit comfortably. The celebrant had a special throne on the main stage, and the interior was beautifully decorated with bright lights and high ceilings. Thankfully, the AC worked well since it warmed up as the party got going. There was also an outdoor patio where they served tacos--always a win! The large kitchen made it easy for them to prep and serve food to all the guests. They even had a security guard keeping an eye on things, which was a nice touch. The Spring Valley Community Center also offers a variety of leisure services and lifelong learning opportunities for visitors of all ages. Some of the facility features include: lifelong learning and special interest programs, event and private rentals, children's day camps, adult and senior programs, youth programs, and fitness classes. If you're looking for a solid event venue with plenty of parking (depending on the day), ample restroom facilities, and a spacious, well-maintained setting for any special occasion, I highly recommend this spot!

No explanation was ever provided as to where the packages were located. Customer service has also been frustrating. On more than one occasion, I was told to return later, and most recently I was asked to come back at a specific time only to find the employee was on break. I expect better accountability and communication from a service I pay for.

As someone who is new to shipping items, I was unaware that a specific mailing bag was required. After the employee had already printed my shipping label, she informed me that I needed to use a different bag. I noticed the bags were located only a few steps away and asked if I could quickly grab one since my label had already been printed. Although she initially said yes, she then told me I would have to get back in line. When I explained that the bags were right there and that the label had already been printed, she responded in a rude manner and told me to "hurry up and grab it." Throughout the interaction, she also made unnecessary comments such as, "People come to the post office not knowing what to do." I understand that employees deal with many customers, but there is no reason to be disrespectful to someone who is simply trying to learn the process. Customer service should be professional, patient, and helpful, especially for first-time customers. This experience left me feeling unwelcome and frustrated.

I highly recommend, a great alternative with even better results…read more I'm writing this review on behalf of my son who recently completed the full-time CNA program at Healthcare Science Academy in Chula Vista and I can confidently say it was money well spent. Originally, we looked into a CNA program at a location nearby...they had too many applicants. That's when I searched around the area and found this school, and honestly, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The program was well structured, the instructors were incredibly knowledgeable and supportive and the learning environment was professional and encouraging. He had a thorough clinical rotation at a skilled nursing facility/rehab nearby. My son learned so much during the course and more importantly he PASSED his CNA exam on the first try (btw, he really studied hard and practiced blood pressures, checking respirations and heart rate on each of our family members.) One of the best parts is that all the credits are transferable. He's on track to apply to further his education and pursue a career in nursing. I highly recommend Healthcare Science Academy. They truly care about their students success and provide the tools needed to succeed.

The library has traded in its old-school look for a bigger, high-ceiling, modernized setup that's perfect for studying, reading, or pretending you're going to study while people watching. One thing that instantly brought back memories was thinking about those days when the San Diego Zoo would roll in with snakes, birds, and other critters to teach kids about wildlife. Back then, that was basically our version of a live-action nature documentary!! The library now has a spacious community meeting hall and plenty of room to spread out with a good book!! Between the upgrades and the flood of childhood memories, this visit was a fun lil trip down memory lane. Nostalgia level: checked out and renewed!!

I got from San Diego comic con back in 2022 an account was super easy and so was checking out this past which saved me at least $20. Don't sleep on libraries. You get a bunch of cool perks. Plus your taxes pay for it already anyway, so might as well take advantage.

Communication is terrible, often delaying the ability to register for classes or even make a counseling appointment. Unlike other colleges I have attended where to be a transfer student is a simple handoff with realistic processing timeframes with transcripts and responses, the staff at Southwestern College do not answer their phones and take weeks to respond via email with often misinformation. I submitted my transcripts March 15th, and emailed the counseling office to request for an appointment for an education plan. It took them 2 weeks to get back to me only to say they must be evaluated first. Reasonable, although other college allow you to book a general appointment so they can clear your prerequisites to at least register. I email the evaluations department which another 2 weeks go by with them saying that they can't view my transcripts and to contact admissions. I then proceed to email admissions for them to say it takes 4-5 weeks to upload my transcripts. At this point I'm absolutely astounded by the amount of inefficiency at this school. I have been to various community colleges and never had this amount of difficulty to just to enroll so that I may be able to register for the Fall semester. Finally, I received notice after a follow up email that my transcripts are visible and to contact evaluations for review, which I do, and they verify they can view my transcripts and will take 4-5 weeks to process, but to contact the counselors office for an education plan. I finally get through via telephone only to be told I cannot set up an appointment until my transcripts are evaluated. I can't even drop in for a general appointment so that I may register or clear prerequisites. I have never had this experience at other colleges and now contemplating if it's even worth continuing because if this is reflection of their school that promotes opportunities and resources, how am I to have trust that their will not be constant roadblocks in the future, pawning me off to be someone else's problem in another department. If you really want to transfer to this school, I suggest starting 6 months in advance and prepare to be going around in circles like a carousel.
