I normally don't leave negative reviews, but this experience felt worth mentioning. We came in on 4/19 around 1:30 PM and were greeted by the hostess, whose name I believe was Lucy or Lucky. Short Asian girl with heavy makeup. Unfortunately, her demeanor was noticeably unwelcoming from the moment we walked in. She seemed irritated to assist us, was very cold while taking our name, and appeared visibly annoyed when my mom asked a couple of simple questions. It created an uncomfortable first impression, which was disappointing given the positive experiences we've had here before. Front desk interactions set the tone for the entire visit. Hopefully this was just an off day and not the standard moving forward.

Parking was also surprisingly easy, which is always a bonus. (Large lot shared with Costco though) The restaurant itself is spacious, with a separate bar/lounge area that's great if you want to grab a drink or play games while waiting for your table. The meat quality and sides easily exceeded my expectations. Everything came out fresh and well-seasoned, and the service was fast, attentive, and consistent throughout the meal. I also appreciated that the staff proactively changed the grill before we even had to ask. One of the highlights was the Melona ice cream bar at the end which was a nice that they offered more than one flavor. Overall, a really solid experience and definitely a spot I'd come back to.

These two gentlemen worked well together to give everyone great service. We did the standard dinner and boy oh boy there are lots of options to choose from! Be prepared to take the ambiance home with you.

Unfortunately, this particular location in McKinley, Corona was very disappointing. The service was horrible. Our server was rude, not friendly at all, and didn't even smile. If you're in the service industry, basic respect and courtesy go a long way, especially when dealing with customers. Sadly, that was completely missing. We also spoke to the manager regarding the brisket, which was tough and rubbery, but she didn't seem to care at all. No concern, no effort to resolve the issue. To make things worse, our server went on break and told us someone would cover--but no one ever came to check on us or take our orders. We were left trying to get anyone's attention, and even when I was clearly waving for help, the staff ignored us. Orders took forever--at least 10-15 minutes each time--even though the restaurant wasn't busy. My husband asked for a Diet Coke refill and it never came until we had to ask again. We love Gen Korean BBQ, but this location was a huge letdown. Poor service, lack of attention, and no accountability. Unfortunately, we will not be coming back to this branch and would not recommend it. Do yourself a favor and go to a different location.

We placed a large takeout order and everything from the service to all of our food was amazing. Some of my favorite items we ordered included the - Cast Iron Cornbread - Ribs and Two Meat Combo - Gus's Famous Burger The cornbread was divine, especially with that honey butter . Definitely a solid appetizer, but complemented the main dishes perfectly. The meats were prepared well; tender and flavorful. The bbq sauces paired well and merely elevated each of the meats. Gus's Famous Burger was one of my favorite burgers I've had recently. Ordered the potato salad as my side and couldn't have been more satisfied. I'd recommend any of these items if you're on the fence. I think it's important to review that we had all of this as a takeout order, so I can only imagine how much more delicious this would be if we dined in and ate everything right away. Gus's Barbecue is definitely going to be a repeat visit for us. There's so much more we want to try off of their menu. Can't wait to come back soon and dine in!

She gave great recommendations, explained menu items for some people in our group who were new to Korean BBQ, and kept the vibe fun the entire time. The restaurant itself was really clean, lively, and had a great atmosphere. The food came out quickly and everything tasted fresh. The brisket, spicy pork belly, and bulgogi were probably our favorites, and the sides and cheese corn were so good too. You can tell why this place is always busy. Honestly one of the best service experiences I've had at Mr. BBQ. Food was amazing, but the service is what made us want to come back. Ask for Maegan if you can!

After reading other reviews, I realized that many customers have had similar issues, which suggests this may be a recurring problem. For customers: Please be cautious. If the same management and practices are still in place, I recommend avoiding this buffet. For the owner: If you value your customers, I strongly encourage you to closely review how your staff interacts with them. I must say this was the worst Korean BBQ buffet experience I have ever had. We arrived at 8:00 PM on a Sunday, excited because it had been recommended by friends. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The buffet has a 2-hour time limit, yet our orders took about 25 minutes each to arrive. On top of that, a staff member told us we could only order 3 items at a time, despite there being 30+ items on the menu. This combination of long wait times and strict ordering limits made it nearly impossible to enjoy the meal. If a restaurant is concerned about customers eating too much, then a buffet-style business may not be the right model. Customers should not feel rushed, restricted, or unable to enjoy the food they paid for. In fact, we did not even have enough foods or time to eat! And at the end, you came and ask if we want to eat more? You are kidding, right? Even more concerning was the hygiene. At one point, there were two small trays of bean sprouts on our table - one used and one fresh. Because no one cleared the table, we stacked the new plate on top of the old one. A staff member then took leftovers from the used plate (only a few pieces) and poured them onto the fresh plate, Seriously? This is not only inappropriate but raises serious FOOD SAFETY concerns. Additionally, the table itself was sticky, which further reflected poor cleanliness standards. We are paying customers and expect to be treated with basic respect and provided with safe, hygienic service. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below acceptable standards.
