Adam was the one who sold it to us and he was very polite and answered all of my questions via email and in person. His son was such a polite young man and is a wonderful asset to the now and one day he's going to run that place, and other adult men did great work. His company installed a new AC unit 2 years ago but my 75 year old mother with a heart condition was sitting in an 82° house yesterday. I called Peter's to fix our unit. After assessing the problem it was clear Cory W/Kraus did not weld the piping correctly and the Freon leaked out. I contacted Kraus to simply ask if they would send someone over to remove the safety locks so my guy could do the repairs. Adam instantly became defensive & informed me of the $100+ cost to accomplish this 5 min. task. When I agreed to pay his price he then informed me how his schedule was out so far.. blah blah blah. Seriously guy, I have no problem paying you. Just take the 5 min & come over to unlock it so we can be done with this conversation because the health of my mother is worth it. Well, he just got pissed off and hung up on me! My little brother utilized a small screw driver (fit in the cap of the lock) & a point awl (fits in any of the holes) He held them together and turned the lock bolt. I called Generations and they sent Tom out to my house right away. He had the microwave fixed in no time (I'd been trying to track that down off-and-on for... a while). He also diagnosed the problem with the porch light - it turns out that the brand-new motion sensing light I had put on last fall had a defective sensor, so the light wouldn't turn on. I had also picked up the wrong type of fixture for the basement light, and I hadn't purchased the bathroom vent/light yet at that point, because I wanted to ask first how big of a project it was going to be first. After talking over what I needed with Tom, I picked up a new porch light, bathroom vent/light, and basement light the next day, and once again, Tom came right over to finish the projects. Honestly, I thought I might pay a premium for hiring a company with that responsive of a service, but when I got the bill, I was happily surprised with a very reasonable bill. Overall, I'm totally satisfied with the service I received from Generations Electric. They were fast to respond and fixed everything I needed to have fixed quickly, and at a fair price. As an example of their service, recently the 30+ year old system in our home failed in the middle of the 94-98-degree heatwave. Called Peters and they looked at everything and presented us with options, essentially patch the old system or replace part or all of it. We opted for a full replacement. They scheduled an install crew for the next day as they had the needed components in stock. The next day the crew arrived at 7:30 am and by 3:00 pm they were headed out the door and we had nice cool air running! We've heard horror stories from several friends who have had terrible experiences with other local HVAC outfits, and while we don't like to see friends have bad luck, it sure makes us appreciate Peters all the more! The other upside to Peters is they're Carrier dealers. In our experience their is simply no equal to Carrier. Quiet, reliable, and fairly priced.

Our repair man diagnosed and fixed the problem in about 10 minutes. He was very professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Overall, the price was very reasonable, and our repairman gave us some tips for the future. I'll call again next time I need service, but that'll be a while. I'm confident he fixed the problem!
