A bit tricky to find the drop off area - google gets you to the entrance no problem but then you need to follow the bright yellow Eco Depot signs. Super nice lady at the weigh station helped direct me. Did you know you can recycle used cooking oil?! Note: they recycle rigid and food packaging styrofoam (needs to be collected in clear plastic bags which Im unclear as to why, but I think they provide bags if needed). They don't take the squishy spongy kind of Styrofoam, and no packing peanuts.

The delivery day came and I am at the job site, no dumpster, no phone call from Clean Away. Called and was told they would try to get it there by end of day. Five o'clock, no dumpster. Called next day same thing, they will try to get there by end of day. Waited all day at job site, no dumpster. Do yourself a favor and order from Waste Management, price is higher but they show up.

By jiminy, this landfill also boasts what is probably the nicest vantage point of any other landfill in the country, with a picturesque view of the Sakonnet River and Narragansett Bay to the west. Birdwatchers rejoice with an abundance of Larus canus and Cathartes aura to photograph. Why anyone in their right mind would come to a landfill to enjoy the ocean view and fauna is beyond me, but if that's seriously your thing, then you have just found your own personal little nirvana here in the south end of Tiveryon. I called RD Recycling and spoke with Ryan, he was very kind and professional. Ryan gave me an amazing price and got the dumpster to me in two days! I text him on New Year's Day (yes a holiday ) asking if he could pick up the dumpster the next day, he responded immediately and the dumpster was gone by 7:15 AM the next day! He even helped me bring the boxes from the truck into the facility, which I really appreciated. Today (a Saturday), the website said they were open from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon. We arrived at about 10:30 a.m. there was an open sign on the door and the interior lights were on. However, the door was locked and no one was inside. There were two other customers waiting. One said they had been there an hour earlier, and the office was closed then too. If they needed to close suddenly, they could have at least put a sign on the door. Luckily, we ended up finding another shredding facility (Shred RI) very nearby that was open. I'll probably go to Shred RI from now on to avoid this type of inconvenience.
