The bar has a classic mid century club vibe with all the energy you could ask for. We booked a table for two using Open Table, and it worked perfectly. We had a great view of the stage and the musicians while we enjoyed our cocktails and appetizers. Our waitress was very attentive, even though she was handling the entire bar seating area. The music and the overall experience were so good that we went back a second time at the end of our trip. If you want a classic Latin music experience in a traditional and upscale setting, look no further than Chico Cabaret. It was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The next time we are in town, we will definitely be returning for more great music in an energetic setting.

I was one person and had already eaten dinner so I just wanted to sit for a single drink. The next day, Friday, there was no minimum and the bar was much more packed and lively! They always have live music playing anything from salsa to merengue to bachata and even disco. The bartender was also very nice and even though she didnt know how to make a cocktail I requested, she happily made it after I googled the recipe.

We came here with some friends whose son is in our son's classroom. We had a good time overall. It helped that we went on a Monday. There weren't a lot of people so wait times were low. General admission has risen over the years. It was for $80 for my wife and I. Our friends bought a family package that included two adults and two kids, so our son's ticket was less. Add to that the concessions and games which cost extra and you're looking at a costly night out. At least the rides are included. They have a decent variety of rides and attractions, ranging from kid friendly to more hardcore ones. Unfortunately, there were some areas that smelled of barf from those who couldn't handle the hardcore rides. While I didn't hurl, I did realize that I can longer do spinning rides anymore, lol. Still, we had fun. The kids had a blast, so it was worth doing at least once during the season.

There were so many things to do and tons of rides for the kids that we spent about three hours wandering around wondering what to do next. My kids loved it! There was a petting zoo that had several animals for the kids to feed/pet. This is an American operated carnival, so most of the workers were flown in from the USA and obviously speak English. I asked one of the workers where he was from and he said, "Baltimore!" and I said, "I'm from Cleveland!" There was a large stage in the middle with what appeared to be a karaoke contest happening. That was pretty loud and entertaining. There are four different roller coasters of varying sizes for your enjoyment. We're not talking Cedar Point here, but being the only roller coasters in Puerto Rico, they're okay for the kids to start on. It was a bit pricey, however. For two adults and two children, the entrance fee was $60. Then, some of the rides and attractions required additional tickets to be purchased. If you wanted a family photo with a bird on your shoulder: $10! The fun houses were $2.00 each and all of the games cost extra. Most of the rides were free, but the lines were long, even on a Monday night. If you're a teenager in San Juan, don't miss La Feria!

What a super treat for us to be in Old San Juan the day a Pablo Picasso exhibit opened at the Sa…read more Juan Museum. We heard about the exhibit from a local artist, and so glad we did! Mostly lithographs of Picasso's works, there were numerous groups of his works from various periods of his life, including the "Blue Period" in Barcelona and Paris in his younger says, as well as his "Genevieve" period where he paid homage to his "companion" in his work. Truly a delightful exhibit! On the other side of the museum was a San Juan historical exhibit with many articles of silver and religious works of the early years of San Juan ... the museum is worth the time, nice walk there too!

Within the grounds is the Bosque Urbano Doña Inés. The park is very popular for birthdays, particularly kids birthday parties. We went for one and it was lots of fun. The kids were taken through a hike around the park and they loved it, learning about the different plants. There is an observation deck but the rails were loose and it wasn't safe for the kids. Overall, an excellent place to visit for a day at the park. Perfect for families or groups.

While their kitchen closes at ten, the owner was extremely nice and opened the kitchen back up for us. We got some chicharrones de pollo with carne frita, tostones and papas fritas. The chicharrones de pollo is literally chicken thats chopped up and deep fried, and it was delicious with the mayoketchup sauce. the pickled red onions gave the dish overall some nice acidity as well. Very worthwhile as our first 'street eats' experience in PR.

I love the arts. I love the theater, I love the place, I do not love the air conditioning system…read more Quality theater in Puerto Rico dies little by little. But this is not the main theme of this review, what happens is that to give my opinion I have to emphasize that it is theater lovers and some actors who keep theaters in Puerto Rico in good condition. Forgetting the issue that the government does not help with funds to restore small theaters, let's go to what you need to know. The conditions of this theater as far as I could see are good. The small lobby but with a good organization makes the entrance to the place pleasant. Fairly clean area and excellent ushers. They pay attention to the details and give the best of them. The theater does not have a pit, therefore for live musical numbers it is difficult to accommodate. The sound system is terrible but the acoustics are excellent. Something I did not like is the air conditioning system. I noticed that they have to turn off the system when the play begins because it makes a lot of noise. Unfortunately there are people, like me, who can not stand the heat. Combining the air conditioning off, the lights of the stage and the heat generated by the body of other people, you wants to run away from the place. In conclusion, needs some improvements.
