I did my best to work with her on my own, but when I found this program, I was excited for the opportunity to get additional support. One of my favorite parts of the experience was receiving the weekly videos and report cards. Katrin took the time to explain Winnie's body language and behaviors in a way that helped me better understand what Winnie was feeling and what signs to watch for myself. I learned so much throughout the process. The progress Winnie made was amazing. On her trial day, she was so nervous that she wouldn't take treats or engage in the larger training room. By her final day, she was confidently running around, playing, and showing her silly personality in the largest room at the facility. We are incredibly proud of how far she has come and excited to continue helping her build on that success. I also want to give a special shoutout to our trainer, Katrin. She was incredibly patient with Winnie and always encouraging throughout the entire journey. My little pittie mix and I had such a fun time taking classes here! We recently completed the…read more7-week foundations course with Logan. I was pleasantly surprised at how much we learned in the course. I'll admit I was a little disappointed at first since the class is a lot of lecturing, however, I see why it is set up the way it is. Even with a high energy dog, the breaks between exercises were needed. I did not realize how mentally exhausting the training can be for the dogs and owners. Apollo loved the classes, but was definitely ready for a nap when we got into the car. The first class and I think the fifth(?) are primarily lecture. The instructor informs the class of this in advance so you can plan accordingly. Due to the nature of the first class, dogs are optional. After each class they send a detailed review of the class along with homework exercises. Each week has a topic and the classes are organized well. Overall, we enjoyed this class and recommend their classes to others!

Pamela is the best!!! I just adopted a second dog this week. My new dog Chance has been through a…read moreterrible tragedy in his life. His owners were killed in a double murder. There were three dogs in the home when it happened. One of the dogs was also shot and killed. Chance and his brother Champ survived the attack and were taken to an animal shelter in rural NC where they have been for the last month. I felt compelled that I need to adopt one of the dogs so they would know love once again. A good friend of mine is looking to adopt Chance's brother. I reached out to Pamela after I had a disaster in trying to crate train Chance. She was able set up a consultation in a very timely matter. She was so kind and you can tell she really cares about helping Chance make the transition to his new home. I really can't say enough good things about Pamela, she is a special person for sure. She has helped lift a huge weight off of me knowing we can work through things with Chance as he gets used to his new home and his second chance at love in his life.

I could not walk him on the street or put him in the car without him being a nervous wreck. The whisper training focuses on the relationship. No treats or corrective collars or leashes of any sort are used or needed. It does take commitment and consistency from the human. Steve is equally committed to making sure that you and your dog continue to progress. We just went to the American Tobacco Trail on a Saturday. Very crowded parking lot, runners, walkers, cyclists, etc and while it wasn't perfect yet - I could not believe how well we did given where we started! I would recommend Steve to anyone who wants to have a positive relationship with their dog over the long term as opposed to short term gains using other methods.

When I contacted Steve by his website, he called me the same day. He was so helpful during our phone conversation. We talked right at an hour and that is just something you won't find! I couldn't believe all the time he took, just over the phone. Not only did he ask questions, but he gave some advice as well. Steve made me feel comfortable and he came across as very friendly on the phone. He was not the least bit pushy about coming out or setting up a session. No pressure at all. He came out, met me and my Beagle and went above and beyond for us. He not only got to know me and my Beagle and the situation, but he explained so many things that I would have never known about dogs and their behavior. During our session, he was so patient with me and my Beagle. My Beagle did better at taking instruction than I did and when I was confused or had to ask Steve to tell me something again, he never once came across as frustrated or impatient with me. He never made me feel like I was an idiot. He simply re-explained things to me. He is incredibly patient, kind, professional, knowledgeable and nice! I learned a lot during our session and he even told me to call him anytime I had any questions. He is an asset to the dog training community and I look forward to implementing what he taught me. My dog, Julep, was very reactive on the leash and would get extremely overwhelmed with meeting new…read morepeople and hearing loud noises. After working with Kassondra for four weeks, Julep has shown tremendous improvement on her walks and has gotten more comfortable with meeting new people and dealing with loud/scary noises. During our training, Kassondra was extremely patient with Julep, who often takes a while to warm up to people. Kassondra was also very patient with me as I was learning the proper ways to handle Julep on a leash. In the past, I had dealt with trainers who were not as patient, so working with Kassondra was a breath of fresh air. After each lesson, Kassondra would send a write-up with homework, which was a great way to get an outline of our session and what I needed to work on in between trainings. Kassondra also helped us work through some of Julep's separation anxiety issues and gave us some great resources to use on addressing this anxiety. Kassondra is extremely knowledgeable on dog training and how to handle reactive dogs with high anxiety and fear of new people. When looking for a trainer I talked to several local businesses/trainers, but after speaking with Kassondra I knew she was the pawfect match and would give Julep the support she needed! Our puppy was just under 1 year old when we sent her to Jonathan and I could not be more pleased with the results. I was wrong about sending her as now she is much calmer and actually listens to us sometimes. Well more often than not. Neither of us had any experience with owning and training a dog before so this was truly a Godsend. Zoey now listens to basic commands and Jonathan worked with both of us on how we need to do things with her so that we are consistent and this is how we get her to do the commands that she had learned. Continuing education is a part of the program and is included and we will be taking advantage of these classes as we continue to learn about the right way to train our dog. I highly recommend both Jonathan and the entire Dog Camp Training Staff but we are bias to Jonathan as he is the man.

She's only been home for a day but i can tell such a huge difference. She is less reactive, more respectful, and so open to commands and direction. Angie and Kersti were amazing with her and did everything i asked and more! They were so sweet and patient with her and were so knowledgeable of her breed and her needs. I got a report card and video at the end of her camp and both were very thorough. I also LOVED the constant posts and emails of how she was doing since i was missing her immensely!! When she came home both trainers spent almost two hours with us teaching us everything she learned and how to do some leash drills. I could see their level of care in every aspect of her training and i am absolutely thrilled!! I can't wait for group classes and for continuing education :))

My 8 year old Shepherd/Pit mix has had anxiety his entire life. It was close to impossible for me…read moreto take him anywhere on my own. From the screaming at the top of his lungs, to lunging at other dogs, I had to basically just keep him home all the time. I had hired 4 dog trainers in the past and spent several thousand dollars trying to control my dog. I ended up having to drug him if we wanted to go anywhere. He used to take prozac regularly, and trazodone & xanax as needed. He would be on enough drugs to knock a grown man out and still be screaming in the car trying to jump on my lap. I decided to take my Bentley to Triangle K9 for their board and train program to hopefully get his anxiety under control to a manageable level. They had him for 3 weeks and it was hard to be away from him for so long, but it was so worth it! I couldn't believe how well he behaved in the car on the way home, not medicated at all!! Mike the head trainer was awesome to work with, and he offers a lifetime of touch-up training sessions if we need it. He even offered to help me take him to public places to get him completely acclimated to being around groups of people and other dogs. I was beginning to think there was no hope for Bentley to live a normal dogs life, but I am so so glad that I took him to Triangle K9! Thank you Mike!!
