Out of all of them Miller fence was the only one that: Sales rep did not respond to my emails Significantly under quoted the amount of fence I would need ( on an extremely small job- only 24 feet plus gate) Had to come out and fix mistakes, cut corners, still finding mistakes multiple times ( example: only using 1 nail on boards, fence cuts at bottom are horrible) Did not clean up after their work- causing 2 nails going into my tractor tires Having employees injured due to lack of training with the equipment they were using (using a jack hammer and was hurt within 30 min on the job) Damaging personal property - downspout ripped off the house, hanging by one screw ..And left like that! Most of the pictures are how the left the job "competed" the first time... I did not think it was fair to pay the last third (so after I didn't respond for two weeks) they said they were going to charge my card that day. From the start, my interactions with their Sales/Quote representative, Glenn, were frustrating and unprofessional. He struggled to hold a clear conversation about product specifications and talked over me when I tried to ask questions. When I held him accountable to the original options he had presented, he even suggested I should just go with another fence company. On two separate occasions, Glenn promised to deliver a detailed quote within 24 hours. Both times, GMH didn't deliver. They did provide an excuse by saying they were waiting on me to provide quote options for vinyl but that is not true. Glenn stated "I just bought a trailer of aluminum and had to see what the freight was" before the quote and now I understand they were trying to push me a different product than originally provided. Over all I waited over a week to receive anything. When I finally got the quote and began asking detailed questions about the aluminum fence I wanted to order, the experience went downhill quickly. Glenn seemed unable or unwilling to answer my legitimate questions and started pushing a completely different product than what was originally discussed. After reaching out to GMH with my feedback, the company showed little concern. Instead of addressing the issues, they sent me a revised quote that was nearly double the original price, claiming the fence option I wanted had been discontinued. This was a clear case of over-promising and under-delivering. Before doing business with GMH, I strongly recommend that future customers: * Carefully validate the exact product specifications and options immediately available * Ensure everything discussed (including brochure details option) is clearly listed on the written quote * Get all promises in writing I truly wanted to work with GMH and had high hopes based on their initial presentation, but the entire process--from quoting to follow-up--was filled with unnecessary frustration and inconsistency. Not only did he lack transparency, but his overall professionalism was lacking. We had to ask, multiple times for an invoice for our records. He missed 3 two week long installation windows last year, no notification given that he was going to miss the window. On the last window, received an email on the last day of that two week window notifying me that he wasn't coming. Evidently took the entire month of November off. Then missed two December installation dates ensuring that the job would not get done before snow fall. Was told that business would start installing again in March of this year. Had heard nothing back by the first week in April. Was ensured I would hear something when he returned to the office a week ago. Have still heard nothing back. Doesn't return phone calls. Appears to answer emails once a wee. Have requested return of deposit, but claims it has already been spent.
