I felt comfortable and cared for, and they explained everything to me in a compassionate way. I even screwed up and drank water the morning so I had to delay my procedure, but they still managed to fit me in without any attitude and with great understanding. I have been completely understanding of the shortage in staff and have been very flexible but I have not felt like this had been reciprocated. I had an incident where I had switched insurances and didn't have my insurance card yet so I called with the information prior to the appointment. I got to the appointment and they didn't have the information even though I spent 20 minutes on the phone days before giving them the information. They told me they didn't have any record of my phone call with the office and I felt very gaslighted. They proceeded to make phone calls or look on different date bases to see if they could find the insurance information while I called the insurance to get the new number. I over heard a front desk person ask another front desk person to look under mass health. I then said I knew it wasn't mass health because it was insurance through my place of work. They looked at each other and disregarded what I had said and one of the women said "look under mass health anyways". I am a Latina woman so you can understand how that made me feel disrespected. Not only because I wasn't heard but also because I was stereotyped and even if I was on mass health the interaction would have been enough to make me feel bad about that which is never ok. I have not had an appointment on the time of the appointment for at least 2 years now. They are unorganized and have no understanding or flexibility even though this is a pediatric practice. I am now having to allot 2 hours for appointments to account for the wait time but they will make you pay a $50 fee and won't see your child if you are more than 9 minutes late. Even though I have sat in my car for 25 minutes waiting for them to call me to let me into the building for an appointment. Unrealistic and unprofessional. I will be changing our pediatrician, not because of the doctors or nurses because they have been wonderful but the front desk service is terrible and disrespectful.

The other night I received a nasty letter from the Billing Manager Judy - basically kicking us out of the practice for non payment on over charged three appointments - $820. The Billing Manager Judy hung up on me when the call got heated and stated she didn't have a boss and I couldn't talk to the owners. This please is a practice I would advise anyone in it to leave and anyone going to it - relook at other options as they will over charge you and dismiss you if you can't pay. Trust me not a nice place to deal with when your having financial holdback on your health plans with high deductibles - STAY AWAY! Since she's been here, I don't mind dodging through Medford's traffic to come to this office. I do have to be honest with you, if I was a new patient and reading the newest reviews here, I would be quite anxious about coming here for the first time. However, the good news is, I've never had any of the negative experiences as described by others. On my most recent visit, it was due to a medical scare. Not life or death scare, but serious enough for me to see the doc. My call was answered right away and she was able to squeeze me in to see Dr. T. the very next morning since she was off that day. I was given a choice to see a different doctor that very day, but since I wasn't dying I opted to wait for the morning. The office normally opens at 9:00 AM that day, they squeezed me in at 8:15 AM. It meant a lot to me that they were willing to go the extra mile for a sick patient. Most of the tests can be done in the office. Blood works are done around the corner of the building at Winchester Hospital Drawing Station. Tests they cannot do in the office will be done within the Winchester Hospital Organization. Dr. Tahmassian is an absolute angel, so is Ann Marie (her RMA), and the administrative ladies. They are all very professional and considerate to what you need, and what you are going through. In my opinion, communication is what makes or breaks a doctor's visit. Whether it is a call-back, a refill, rescheduling an appointment, patient portal messaging, or simply one-on-one conversations with empathy. I am extremely satisfied with the level of communication here. Plenty of parking in front of the office. However, it is not free. You need to go to one of the two machines and put in your license plate number. It's 25 cents for every 15 minutes, cash or card. By the way, the machine closest to their door is always broken.
