WORST PLACE TO LIVE! We lived here for about 7months and went ALL THE HOT SUMMER WITH NO A/C!! Even after putting multiple work orders in and going in to the office to speak to the manager and staff they did not care to fix any issue, not even because I had my 3year old living in my home, they were extremely unprofessional and put us in unlivable conditions, this should be illegal!!!!! so much that I had to personally look for another place to live, I was even removed as a roommate and they are still charging me ridiculous fees and what not, overall please don't waste your time or money!! read more

My girlfriend lives here and is afraid of management treating her any different by leaving her name on this review, so i will be leaving the review. This place is horrible. Last weekend a 17 year old was shot and killed , area is very rough. you don't get hot water , and don't think you are getting any maintenance repairs because they will simply decline your request. i haven't been able to shower in the shower in my own apartment because the shower is nasty. decaying wood and bugs are all over the bathroom, and i'm a very very clean and neat person. students STAY AWAY. it seems convenient and close to campus but nope. not worth it. i'm sure they will reply to this yelp saying "we don't recognize you as a apartment leaser," or " we are under new management and there aren't any issues" they will suck you in by saying the place is new and renovated, take your money , and make you not shower , get hot water , and have multiple shootings a month. they made the application process really fast and easy, i applied and was able to move in like 2 days later. i lived there for a year and the new remodel is great, we had some leak problems but after putting a work order they'd fix it right away. only thing is that the dryers in the laundry mat didn't work that well, they stole my coins plenty of times and they never fixed them, but other than that my husband and i were pretty comfortable there. read more

Absolute worst place to live. I have been a resident for the past two years. During this time I have kept an account of all the issues this establishment has put me as well as its other residents through. I am a responsible resident who has never been late on any payments. I have lived here while concluding my Masters degree program and will be moving out in one month. Cons: 1) When moving out the lease states that the apartment should be cleaned adequately. What they leave out, is that they will in fact higher a cleaning company and charge the resident whether or not the individual left the apartment in a clean and suitable condition. They will charge you for additional cleaning fees and contact you FIRST through a credit agency. No bill or record of the charges will be provided to you, by them directly. This business does not even conduct a walk through. If they did then we would not had been CHARGED A CARPET CLEANING FEE WHEN OUR ORIGINAL EFFICIENCY DID NOT EVEN HAVE CARPET. WE WERE CHARGED OVER 300 DOLLARS WORTH OF CLEANING FEES. We ended up taking it to court in which over a 6 month battle resulted in the managment finally understanding that they had no paper work or proof of our efficiency being accounted for during the previous walk through. They finally backed off and we did not own anything. We know that this is something that this company practices on a normal basis, as our neighbors also experienced the same thing. They too, took legal measures as well. 2) First moved in, given wrong key. There was no urgency from the staff to rectify the situation. 3) COCKROACH infestation that lasted for 1 month. Staff did not have any urgency to fix the matter whatsoever. We had to bomb our apartment ourselves, twice. 4) MICE infestation. TWICE. Sent in a pest control request, which went in unanswered for 1 week. 5) Multiple maintenance requests have gone unanswered. MICE, COCKROACHES, CARPET, HOLE IN WALL WHERE MICE ARE COMING THROUGH. 6) Staff turnover is extremely high. In turn, new staff have no idea what is going on, or the correct information to provide residents with. 7) Staff and managment are rude and defensive. 8) TOWED OUR CAR EVEN THOUGH WE PROVIDED THE CORRECT DOCUMENTATION AS WELL AS A RESIDENT VEHICLE PARKING STICKER PROVIDED BY THE STAFF TO ALL RESIDENTS. 9) Maintenance team, extremely rude. This department has hung up on me before during phone calls. 10) CABLE IS NOT FULLY PROVIDED. The lease states that cable is included. This in fact means that if you have more than one room in your apartment or duplex, you must PAY for suddenlink to come out and "turn on" the other cable jacks throughout the apartment. Boston creek will only provide ONE cable jack, you are responsible for the access of more. 11) Managment never communicates with residents about: - pool hours - major changes, such as, residents having to now provide their own cable box. Cable was just randomly shut down throughout the complex. - managment or staff changes I have lived in lubbock for almost a decade in order to finish school. I just received my Masters degree and will be leaving Boston creek asap. Please know, that Lubbock has many other viable living options that can provide you with a safe, secure, and clean living environment; provided by a responsible and genuine staff. PLEASE do not enable this business anymore by signing a lease here. You and your money will be clearly taken advantage of. read more

Since they BLOCKED ME on Facebook so that I wouldn't write a review, here is an even better version in which I can post pictures! I can't even imagine how the people that work here can live with themselves after how poorly they treat their residents. To charge someone $300 to clean an apartment after they moved out, when I can assure you it was SPOTLESS, is a really sick way to scam additional money out of people. Well Boston Creek, let me air some of your dirty laundry, starting from day one... The first day I moved into the complex, well I didn't get to move in! After driving over 7 hours from Houston, I was turned away because my unit wasn't ready yet. The next day, it still was not ready and we had to wait several more hours before we could be given keys... Or well one key.... The ONLY key that property had; 'so don't lose it' they said. We had a backyard for our dogs. Little did we know there was a gaping hole in the fence! Fortunately I found it before my dogs escaped. Not to mentioned I was told our unit would have a washer and dryer set up and it did not! They said they would 'see what they could do next week'. Absolutely unacceptable. My then husband was leaving for several weeks for a business trip and there was no way I could re-move our entire home when he would be gone. We had to rent out a storage building instead. With in the first week we went through 3 dishwashers! The broken two sat in our backyard for a solid month after, and even with me consistently calling the office to have them removed. Also during that first months time we discovered mice. There were all sorts of small holes in the exterior they they were getting in from, but we were blamed that those were 'made by our dogs'. My large dogs are not exactly able to burrow small holes into the house... Especially ones that would leave siding attached to the house. Even with what was considered their 'best' efforts, our entire year their was spent with mice. We did our part by not leaving dog food and water on the floor accessible for rodents to get, and again kept a CLEAN house. The majority of our winter was spent with us in a freezing apartment. They had to come and 'fix' our heater 6 times! It was an average of once every two weeks! And most times, it would be DAYS before anyone would show to fix it; 6 days was the longest wait. It got so bad I ended up having to call their corporate office and was 'assured' that if it happened again that the entire unit would be replaced. Fast forward to spring when we began to use the air conditioner and it POURED water onto our floor! This happened about 3-4 times before the issue was fully taken care of. And I can't forget that we had a couple that we knew that, regretfully, lives there was well who fostered a puppy that got PARVOVIRUS when taken to the dog park. We were told it wasn't the first occurrence know to the complex. Yet with two dogs they didn't seem to care to inform us... After almost living there a year they finally come and replaced the weather stripping on the door, a work order that had been in since we moved in along with a few additional small tasks. At one point during the stay there was an insurance representative, I believe, who came by several units to inspect that they had been properly renovated. You can imagine her surprise when I pointed out everything that was wrong and I even ended up e-mailing her the pictures I took of certain damages I had noticed upon my own move in.... You know, pictures of things I wasn't responsible for so I would have to pay for them. Oh but wait, it looks like they still have found a way to get money from me! Upon move out, I knew I was going to have to pay for new blinds. They sent a notice stating they would be $50. So when I go to turn in my keys I go to give Aaron, I believe his name is, a check for the $50 as well. He denies and says I will be sent something in the mail. I then had him CONFIRM the address to me just to be on the safe side. He did so, and I left me keys and never received anything in the mail! I am now receiving calls from a collections agency for failing to pay fines?! Even after I tried to upfront pay? And then didn't receive anything in the mail? After living in dreadful conditions and lied to about my apartment set up, now you want to screw me out of some money too? You people have a lot of nerve. Do you sleep soundly in a house not infested with mice? Did your heater work all through the winter when Lubbock was snowed in? Be weary current residents, my car was broken into and my exhusbands work truck was hit by a drunk driver while we lived there. I hope you are all taking pictures and documenting EVERYTHING. And if anyone is even considering living here... There are far better choices. This place doesn't deserve a dime! read more

The staff are rude and disrespect to you all the time. Ever month I go and pay my rent there is new staff. My apartment smells of weed all the time. The staff said it not there problems call the after hours officers, he never returns your call if he does he won't come and check out anything. There won't replace anything that broke. Make your pay for a parking permit for what people still park there without it. The tower services is suppose to tow if you don't have parking permit but that never happens. If you complain to much the office staff ignores your calls and when you go into the office they are rude. I would waste your money or time to rent here. Have problems with mices. read more

I wish i could give this place no stars. This was my first and last apartment. The space was so small and not worth the rent we were paying for it. We had countless problems with the office losing our payments. I have very specific checks you cant miss them but they managed to misplace them several times. Our water would constantly get shut off for maintenance issues/repairs with no notice or any idea when it would be back on. We made several complaints about noise from the people below us and nothing was ever done about it. We weren't planning on staying after the lease was up but were let out early because they were raising our rent $150 at the beginning of the year. We were already paying $520 plus rent and utilities. It was being raised because they were remodeling the apartments and adding internet and cable to all of units which we were already paying for and would have to pay for twice of we continued to stay there. When we had first moved in there were holes in the walls, the bar was crooked, and paint on the floor not to mention that the entire floor plan was way off none of the walls were even straight. After we finally got out we waited and had to call constantly to get our security deposit back that we only got part of because they kept the rest for cleaning fees which is not what a security deposit is for. I clean houses so i know when we left and turned in our keys that place was spotless. I will not recommend this place to any one ever. With the money people are paying in rent there they could buy a house instead. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. If you have any other options other than Boston Creek please pick the other place. Honestly I would have rather slept in my vehicle than have to go through what I went through with that place. Do not believe the positive reviews that are here, they have got to be lies. The staff in the office is horrible, rude, & never returns calls. They are recently under new management and its honestly worse than ever. They are all about business and they do not care about you or your family. Trust me when I say that. This place is corrupt. The maintenance men were the only good part about the whole place. it has been awful living here. do not move here. save your money and your time!! the premises is filled with trash and dog poop. i have had no heater since moving in. i moved in march 2 2016. it is now april 5th 2016. it snowed last friday. then when i called and the maintance man came he told me why was i even worried about the heater. that it was hot. my point is im pregnant i have a 9 month old son. its going to need to be done even if its now or the summer. they cannot even fix it. i have been telling them since march 7th 2016 that it does not work. when we moved in it was not as hot as it is now. do not move here. also they faults advertise. do not let the "model" homes fool you. they definitely fooled me. i moved in excited and ready to stay for two years. i will not be staying longer than i have too. i moved in with two dogs whom i had to give to give to my father in law. dogs would come to my fence dig holes bark. they destroyed my fence. poop all around the dog park. in the dog park. upon moving in whoever is suppose to clean the apartments had whipped boogers on the wall it was awful unsanitary and plain out nasty!! no one puts their dogs on leashes. please do not move here. especially if you are pregnant or have babies!!! they are nice do not get me wrong but the staff is awful rude and have attitudes. they sue everyone. they even threaten to sue us. when it was the front offices fault. i pay 830 dollars in rent. its ridiculous. the spaces are tiny and nothing like the "model" home which your apartment is suppose to look like "exactly" is what they told my family and i. i am a stay at home mother and have been miserable since moving in. also they have water roaches huge holes in the restroom sinks. do not move here. read more
