On vacation, I don't know who to request, so I'm always in doubt of how good it will be, until I actually have the massage. I arrived on Friday at 10 in the morning to be greeted by Joseph. He checked me in, offered me a refreshment and a cookie while I waited. He was so nice. He even gave me a birthday discount when I checked out which I very much appreciate! My masseuse was Chris and she was really good! I really enjoyed it! Im bummed I didn't book a facial too. Will be back when I'm in town!

I called to confirm my appointment a few hours later since I never received a confirmation email. Turns out the email went to my spam folder. I accidentally booked for the wrong day but luckily the spa had availability on the day I needed and the time worked for my schedule. I booked the Prenatal Massage for 60 minutes. I arrived fifteen minutes early and checked in and was given a locker key. I changed into the spa robe and went to the relaxation room. It was quaint, quiet and the views from the 7th floor are impressive. Around 2:30 I was greeted by Phoenix my masseuse. She brought me to a treatment room and was very knowledgeable about prenatal massages. The entire massage was great! I feel so relaxed and pampered. Thank you Sandava Spa for a lovely afternoon.

My facial technician gave me a lymphatic drainage session while 1 mask was on and an arm & hand massage while another mask was on. I've had more expensive facials that did not include those nice little luxuries. For me, I love that the waiting lounge was co-ed for couples so my husband and I could be together. This spa has a steam room and a couple of showers and that's about it so it is small but given the quality of service and products it is absolutely worth it!

The hotel itself is beautiful and centrally located on Clearwater Beach with just a short walk across the street to the beach. We booked two suites , a 2 queen private rooftop terrace suite with a full kitchen and a poolside king suite with a kitchenette which were spacious and perfect for our large gathering. The rooftop terrace was definitely a highlight, and the hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, the pier, playgrounds, and shops. I also liked that the pool is on the 8th floor with a great view and access limited to hotel guests only. Pool chairs were very comfortable, towels were unlimited with no towel card system, and beach cabana/umbrella rentals were half off for guests. The hot tub being on the 16th floor separate from the pool didn't make much sense though. Room service was daily, and I appreciated being able to text the front desk instead of calling. I highly recommend using the text feature and keeping everything in writing because there were discrepancies regarding credits we were promised. There were unfortunately several maintenance and service issues during our stay. The living room TV constantly glitched and wouldn't sync properly even after maintenance attempted to fix it. More importantly, the AC completely stopped working in the rooftop terrace suite for hours while we hosted about 25 guests for the graduation party. Everyone was hot and sweaty in almost 100-degree indoor conditions. Thankfully the terrace breeze helped, but being offered only a $100 credit for such a major issue during a once-in-a-lifetime celebration felt insufficient! The parking garage situation was also frustrating. We were told our vehicles could enter and exit freely with the resort fee, but every time we tried leaving, the room keys and garage passes failed. We repeatedly went back to front desk to get new passes and had to pay $40 to exit then contact customer service afterward for refunds such a waste of vacation time Customer service overall was very hit or miss. Some employees were wonderful while others seemed miserable and unfriendly. The onsite coffee shop was particularly disappointing I'd recommend walking across the street from The front lobby to the real Starbucks instead. At times it felt like the hotel relies heavily on its excellent location and beach proximity rather than consistent service standards.Coming from previous stays at Sandpearl Resort, I personally would still choose Sandpearl for smaller family vacations. However, I will say this hotel offers more flexibility for large gatherings and easier garage access compared to Sandpearl's valet-only setup. That said, between the AC outage, power issues in BOTH suites floor 8 and 17, lukewarm water, TV problems, phone problems, garage charges, and inconsistent customer service, I would probably try another Clearwater Beach hotel next time. We still made wonderful graduation memories and the location, spacious suites, rooftop terrace, and beach convenience were definitely the highlights of our stay.

All staff were very friendly, in fact I believe it was a manager that bought me and my husband drinks after we walked down 15 flights of stairs during a fire alarm. (I swear nobody else even heeded the alarm, we were the only one in the stairwell). We only ate breakfast in the main restaurant (which was good), but we did have room service a couple of times and enjoyed the rooftop bar, The Tropico, for food and drinks. (The kids menu burgers and fries was plenty for me!) All were good experiences. Hotel is in walking distance of so many restaurants, shops and of course, the pier. We only hung out on the beach one day with the loungers and cabana. I was a little disappointed that they weren't included in the stay. The cost was $30 per day. Otherwise I was content to hang out on the loungers at the pool. A store called Surf Style is just a couple of doors down that has besides clothing, your snacks, drinks and all the tourist goodies.

They have two salt rooms to accommodate different size groups. The sauna room is large enough to accommodate you and a friend. It's bright enough for reading, as this is my preference. Botanica Day Spa is a hidden treasure in the heart of Clearwater. I started coming here 5 years ago. After moving to Florida from Jersey...i was worried that I wouldn't find a a place that provided the same quality service I received while living there. After experimenting different day spas in Clearwater I was disappointed and frustrated. Finally, I came across Botanica by surprise and tried it out. I was very impressed! This place is truly unique. The moment you step foot in there you feel like your on vacation. It's clean...the staff is experienced and humble...and the decor is charming and elegant... I always go to my appointment earlier just so I can admire the unique handmade jewelry and check out different skin care products. The product line is great and the staff is never pushy about buying their products. If anything they give you the best advice on ways to take care of your skin or any other questions you may have about make up ect. They offer a lot of services. I recommend checking out their website. They also run a lot of specials. I have gotten facials and brow waxes and have always been satisfied!! I'm very picky about my brows and I must say Yana and Jen do a great job! Their pedicures look awesome..you hardly hear a sound in that room which is so much the opposite of other places. I always look forward to book my next appointment just because of the atmosphere itself. The music is also very therapeutic. Gen and her staff are amazing! I was lucky enough to be introduced to this gem over 10 years ago and NO ONE compares. I've had a majority of the services done at one time or another and have never been disappointed! Gen is the only person I'd allow to do my Brazilians and gets my eye brows perfect every time. I have had eye lash extensions done by Gen, Ashlee, and Stephanie and people often stop me and comment on "my" lashes (and hey I did buy them so technically they are "mine"). One day I was walking though the mall and a MAC make up artist stopped me, looked closely and then said she had never seen lashes so beautifully done and called over every make up person in the area to look at them and asked for Botanicas contact information. Recently they did my eye lashes and make- up for my 20th reunion and not only stayed late but my date was speechless and several classmates asked how I managed to stay so young looking (Haha the wonders of well applied make-up is how, not that I admitted that). Most importantly my daughter has always been so self conscious of her dark body hair on pale skin and has taken it upon herself to try and fix this with disastrous results. I took her into Gen who not only helped her but educated her on what to do and what not to do and answered all her questions. OK I've don't the same thing with my skin and eye brows and the staff at Botanica has always been great educators and patient "fixers" and the massage therapists always have great tips that help immensely! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Botanica! A year ago I visited Clearwater Beach on business and took in a day at the spa. I was hooked after that. They destroyed all the misconceptions that I had about all spas being pretentious. This spa is in a league of its own. I enjoyed myself so much that I flew from North Dakota this week specifically for a spa day with them. It is such an inviting and relaxing atmosphere that I fully intend to fly down quarterly for the experience! The massages were taylored to meet my specific needs and Hector had me so relaxed that I drooled shamelessly! The facial Yanna gave me left me feeling rejuvenated and absolutely beautiful. She also taylored a daily beauty regimen for me to combat North Dakota's extremely dry and cold climate. Maria finished me off with a manicure and pedicure and she was an absolute joy to converse with. I would say that I had the ultimate relaxing experience! It was not was I was expecting. For the price I paid I expected to have more of a high class spa experience. This is not what I received, the staff was snobby and seemed annoyed at having to deal with a customer. I don't purchase spa packages when I didn't enjoy my service. This did not seem to dissuade the receptionist from trying to push me into purchasing a package. I get massages several times a month. I know what I consider to be a good massage. I did not receive a "good massage" I was charged for a service I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. read more

My husband got me the Silver Membership for Christmas last year & since then I've experienced so many beautiful things at Botanica Day Spa. I was never one to get regular beauty treatments; but the facials, massages, mani/pedis & lash enhancements I've had done this year make me feel fabulous around the clock. I have had many massages over the years, but never one as good as this.He truly is a master in his field. I do not live here, but will always visit him on my return. Just had a pedicure in the NEW location. Absolutely LOVE the new place ! Very spacious, relaxing & gorgeous ! My pedicure was wonderful. And I really loved the nail polish sample keys that you can look through for every brand to choose your color. I go to Botanica regularly for waxing but on special occasions or right before a vacation I love going in for the lash tint. It's one of my favorite things to have done and would do it all the time if I could. The lash tint lasts for a week or two and makes my eyes look great even when I just wake up or after a day at the beach when I don't want to wear any makeup. read more
