Pallavi is a bright and relaxing oasis in the heart of the sweaty busy area of Clearwater Beach. What separates this spa from the others (1) bright & beachy concept with lots of windows and (2) exceptional staff. I've been to a good number of spas and most are closed off (no windows) to create a certain relaxing atmosphere which is nice for urban areas but while at the beach it is a welcomed sight to be able to see the beautiful blue skies and the white sandy beach from a cool relaxing oasis several floors above the street to keep the space free from traffic noise. My husband and I spent half the day at the spa getting facials, massages and a pedicure for me. My facial technician & pedicurist were amazing! You can have a gorgeous spa but if the technicians & products are average then the spa is only as good as your people & products. My facial technician gave me a lymphatic drainage session while 1 mask was on and an arm & hand massage while another mask was on. I've had more expensive facials that did not include those nice little luxuries. For me, I love that the waiting lounge was co-ed for couples so my husband and I could be together. This spa has a steam room and a couple of showers and that's about it so it is small but given the quality of service and products it is absolutely worth it! read more

The good: Polite and very friendly staff! We did the couples retreat package and the massages and scalp massages and they were A-MAZING!! We were relaxed the whole day and it was just heaven! The not so good: Whirlpool soak for 25 minutes was not great for the price. Really small in relation to the size of the room and for the cost, it was not very impressive. We had never been to this spa so we were unaware of the process after our massages. It would be helpful to have that information prior to the services. In addition, we never received our complimentary glasses of champagne. Not a deal breaker but for the price of the services it would have been nice to receive all that was included within the package. read more

I cannot begin to say how thankful and grateful I am of the staff at Pallavi. They treated my mom and sister to a wonderful spa day that they're still talking about days later. My sister is a nurse at the veterans' hospital working with those who are disabled. The daily working is extremely taxing on her body. I've watched her come home with drained energy and an inability to move her own body because she's lifting and assisting patients who can't do for themselves. My mom on the other hand has two new knees, emotional challenges with the loss of dad recently, and just normal aches and pains that you get as you're getting older In painting this picture, I want you to understand why it was important for me to write this review. The spa day may be normal for most, but for these two, this was a well needed and well deserved day of relaxation. So, this wasn't a bad experience. In fact I thought it was pretty lovely. But I just didn't find that the services I received justified the price. I've had similar services at Red Door Spa and other high end spas in the past for the same price but where I received a lot more for what I paid. And I'm fine paying high prices, but I think that when one pays high prices to receive services at a high end spa the services one receives should be notably different from more affordable ones, and these weren't. One of my jobs requires me to stand for long hours on concrete floors, so I have a lot of foot pain - muscle cramps, swollen ankles, that kind of thing. I've been busy and have been meaning to get a pedicure for months (yes, months) but it kept getting deprioritized, so I figured that while I'm staying at the Wyndham Grand for a business conference I may as well get a super fancy pedicure that involves a lot of foot massage to help my poor, ailing feet. I compared the menu at this spa, which is at the Wyndham, with that of another area spa I had seen, Botanica, which is also very highly rated on Yelp and more affordable. Botanica had a wider variety of pedicure options. Its most involved pedicure was $100 and included champagne and chocolate, which I didn't care about, plus I figured that with Ubers from the hotel and back I'd cancel out any cost savings. Pallavi, meanwhile, offered a 60 minute $75 pedicure called a Best Foot Forward pedicure that, based on the description in the spa menu, sounded like exactly what I wanted. Plus, if I did my pedi at the hotel, I would also have time for a manicure. Here's the spa menu's description of the Best Foot Forward pedicure: "Take a load off with this foot-focused tension releaser. Lower legs and feet are thoroughly exfoliated, bathed and massaged. Feet are left nourished, soft and smooth." So I show up for my pedicure and the spa is lovely. They treat mani-pedi clients the same as other spa goers so I was able to change into a robe and sandals and use the steam room and "experience shower" (multiple heads with different settings plus different colored lights - honestly I didn't get it). The steam was nice, and with no extra charge. The locker system they use is great. The items for sale in the front - aromatherapy items, body products - were all priced very reasonably. My nail technician was pleasant, skilled and genuinely lovely. She took her time shaping my nails and filing the dead stuff off my feet (also much needed). And the massage chair was really good. The problem is that there was almost no massage, which is my whole reason for paying for a $75 pedicure when there was also a $50 pedicure on the menu and when I can get a decent $25 pedicure at my cheapy nail salon at home in DC, where everything usually costs more than in Clearwater. And that $25 pedicure probably has more massage than the pedicure I got at Pallavi. The massage I got here certainly didn't compare to what I got with the $80 pedicure I once booked at Red Door. And yet the menu had boasted a thorough massage. I gently asked my pedicurist what the difference was between this and the regular pedicure ($50) and she said that this one came with an exfoliating scrub and more massage, and that the regular pedicure came with almost no massage. If this was *more* massage than the regular pedicure's "massage" must be nonexistent. Basically I paid $25 for a dollop of salt scrub. The $35 classic manicure I received was fine and while it wasn't mindblowing I think it was worth $35 to get a manicure AND have access to the steam room and showers - had I done just that it would have been a steal - but my pedicure was super overpriced for what it was, imo. After the automatic gratuity that they added (this is apparently a thing Wyndham does - I discovered that after dining in the hotel restaurant the previous evening) my bill came out to $130 for just a manicure and a pedicure - a skillfully done manicure and pedicure in a lovely environment - but at the end of the day just a manicure and a pedicure (and a free steam but that was not what I was there for). So, in conclusion, I left without receiving what the menu boasted and without receiving the number one thing that I was looking for when I booked this service. Had I known I would have gone to Botanica. But I now have neither the budget nor the time for another fancy pedicure while I'm here and am super bummed because my right foot is killing me. read more

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our Ocean Breeze manicures, possibly the best I've ever had from up North to the Gulf Coast. This is one of my favorite spas in the area now. It's brand new and beautifully constructed. The staff is very nice and friendly! I had a lovely facial here! I could really notice a difference in my skin. They use the British brand Elemis! I liked it so much I purchased some products to use back home. They have an amazing LED shower I enjoyed. Great new addition to the spa scene in Clearwater/St Pete/Tampa. They are located in the Wyndham Grande, but run by WTS an outside company. Me and a couple of friends got a deal on Travel Zoo and went on a Sun afternoon. Our deal included valet parking which is nice. The hotel does not have self-parking. If you don't have a deal ask when you make your appt if they will cover your valet. They have a steam room and an enhanced shower (1) as the extras, I wish they had sauna. They do not have an outodoor area,wish they did. There is a great rooftop area just outside the waiting room that would be prefect. I had a massage as did another friend, the other had a facial. We all enjoyed our treatments. I believe my gal was Amanda, she was great. Go, enjoy! read more

This spa is a mess!!!! A salt room that is near a wet room is bad for your health. I don't know how a company like this can over look the health of there clients!!! The spa major has no idea what she is doing. Who buys readers in a "Spa" the shells are always empty and the staff is always short of oils. I'm fancier than I thought because I just realized I write a lot of spa reviews. But I do have to say that Pallavi is the most beautiful spa I have ever been to. The facilities just opened a few months ago so everything is very fresh and clean, from the front desk to the women's locker room to the treatment rooms. The esthetician for my facial was Zina, and she was awesome! Not only was she thorough but super sweet to boot! I felt totally pampered. Totally luxurious, totally worth it. Pros: Lovely new facility. Had a deep tissue spa by Denny which was excellent. Nice gel polish on my nails. Cheerful staff. Cons: no one seems to clean up the common area of the Spa. Dirty dishes around in Lounge area. Tea bags with only ice water available. Had to tell front desk clerk there was no bathroom tissue. There was trash on floor in ladies changing area. Although the facility looks lovely... I always worry when cleanliness is not a priority. I took the time find the manager and tell her about all of this. Not sure I'd go back. read more

Was not happy with the service or staff. Everything was about selling and getting you to buy and they were really pushy. Very unprofessional and the girl who did my pedicure seemed afraid of a toe nail clipper as if she never used one before. There was a lack of experience. The service was way overpriced for what I received. There was no wow factor to make me want to return at all. I don't recommend wasting your money. Sandpearl down the street at least gives you your money worth . Beware of the automatic gratuity they charge. I didn't like the girl who did my service and I feel I shouldn't be pressured to leave a certain amount for a not great service. read more

What a great massage! My wife and I found a Groupon and used it here today and we had a great time. We had our massages by Ashley and Jennifer and both of us were pleased. We arrived a little early and were greeted at the front desk and taken back. We had time to change, shower and enjoy the sauna before our massage. The holding area before we went into the massage room was pretty nice. It had water, tea, peanuts and comfy chairs. The massage room for couples was pretty nice too. Once the massage started it didn't take long at all for me to relax. Jennifer hit all the right spots with just the right pressure. The oils she used were spot on too. The only negative is the outside noise. We heard emergency sirens go by a few times which just kind of spoiled the moment. All in all it was a good experience and I'd recommend this spa. The Groupon was great as it included valet parking and use of the pool for he entire day. Be advised there are still other charges such as taxes, fees etc that you will be charged when you leave. read more
