If you know the place you shop at is run by good people and they do what they do well, chances are you'll go back. I've lived on and off in Gladesville for a few years now and the people who run the newsagency on the corner are always cheerful, friendly people that remember their customers and do what they do well. They get in the magazines you're after, make sure you get the right travel ten or multi ticket and are always willing to help with your other newsagency queries. The small chit chat you have here with the friendly owners when buying your multi one or newspaper in the morning can often be just what you need to put you in a good mood and off to a good start to the day.

For Newington, this is a pretty well-stocked newsagent. They have facilities to top up your Opal…read morecard and off and have special stands with cards on occasions like Mother's Day, etc. they have good opening hours to, and also accept parcels on the ParcelPoint system. However, the staff are quite unfriendly and are not proactively helpful.

The Leichhardt Newsagency is a small shop, but full of a wide selection of magazines and newspapers. They sell all the things that you would expect to buy in a newsagent and the women behind the counter is always very friendly and always tells me to have a good day. Once I went there and they were out of tickets, which was an issue, but I've been there at least ten times since and that late delivery of tickets never rehashed itself, so I think that was the rarest of occasions.
