Last year, prior to putting my Awning up, they would not release it until I paid $260 for alleged repair with " new stitching" that they say was not available when they made the awning. this was also a nonnegotiable. There was no evidence (such as leaking or fraying) that it needed to be done, but I could not get the Awning put up unless I agreed to it. There have been numerous other small problems over the years as well. I guess they have enough business to cut customers off with no discussion. It would be helpful to customers if their billing process was easier and they offered automated payments. It seems a business practice of ending business relationships with no discussion will only last so long. I would say stay clear of Custom Covers & Canvas!

However, they didn't turn their back on me when I walked into the shop like a lost hobo looking for underpass. I was able to pick up a sheet measuring 5ft by 3ft for $10. They cut it quick for me too; had it rolled out and ready to cut already. For that price, I can see myself investing a lot more money in random sheets of sheet metal. What that means is I will now be replacing cloth blankets in my house with sheet metal ones (better insulation properties), I will be tossing my canvass tent in favor of a sheet metal tent for camping (better water-proofing properties) and, you guessed everyone that gives me a Useful, Funny and Cool vote for this review will be receiving a gift of love and affection from Jim B. in the mail (wrapped in sheet metal wrapping paper, of course).

The table and leaves were in good, but not great shape, and the edge treatment ('distressed') was not our style. We contacted Kittinger and inquired as to their willingness to refinish the table and the leaves. They offered to do this work at a very reasonable price, so I rented a trailer and brought the pieces to them from Ohio. [Ray Bialkowski, the owner, met me on a holiday weekend and gave me a tour of the factory!!!] The work was completed within four weeks and the results were amazing! Every scratch and gouge was gone, the finish looked like it just came out of the factory brand new, and the responsiveness of the entire staff was all one could ask for.
