My experience took place in May 2011. The photographer (a young girl) did a good job making it an enjoyable comfortable experience. I was at easy and not self conscious at all, she help guide posing and would just snap when there was something natural flowing that worked for a photo. I was not impressed with the editing done for final product of the book we received (not sure who did editing). Over all I was satisfied and my husband loved the photos which is all that truly matters; just being a photography student I have my own ideas on editing so I just wasn't as pleased as I was hoping to be. There were some duplicate photos in the book that only the color was changed or photo cropped slightly to tighten the frame. Some blemishes were not edited out as requested (including printing on the bottom of the shoes I wore that was visible in several photos and just not attractive to look at). I fully understand artistic preference and creative differences but again some photos selected for final product were not included, others where just duplicates, specific editing requests were ignores (which just came across lazy and not wanting to do it). I fully enjoyed the experience and my husband loved (still does) the photos but it was not perfect. But if you are wanting to do a shoot I highly recommend it! (Even elsewhere). I had been wanting to take boudoir pics since forever (even before I had someone to give them to). I purchased this deal on living social, $49 for 1 hr shoot with 3 outfit changes and a $50 credit towards a book. I went to check out the studio and browse the outfits before I scheduled a shoot. I found out the books start at $249, however they have a mini accordion for $99. Cherish was so great beforehand, at the shoot, and was so patient while I decided what pictures I wanted. Cherish took over 200 pictures of me and surprisingly a lot of them came out fantastic. I loved them before they were even edited. I was super self conscious since I've gained weight but she made me look great. I would definitely do this again and I recommend going through her. Unless you want a book I would get the $29 living social deal. It was worth every penny. read more

I had the most wonderful experience and highly recommend working with Cherish to any woman, any age, who has ever fantasized about doing this. I took advantage of a coupon deal, like other reviewers, and can tell you that what I received far outweighed the cost. At age 46, and after some serious health challenges I decided to finally take the plunge and see what magic could happen... I was really nervous and asked a girlfriend to come with me. That worked out great - and when I told Cherish about feeling a bit awkward and wanting a friend there, she was completely supportive and welcoming - she even told me that she does a girls night deal! This was something I never would have considered previously, but after my experience, I can't wait to gather my girls and do this! ($199 - 5 girls, 1 outfit each, and in addition to your individual photo, a group shot is also taken. Hair and makeup extra @ $65) I did take advantage of the hair and makeup services ($85) offered by Hollie - she did a beautiful job, and was very kind and gentle. She helped me to feel very relaxed. Cherish was wonderful! I was really excited to take pictures with her but also super nervous since I wasn't sure what to expect. I got a LivingSocial deal & paid extra for her to do my hair & makeup - definitely worth it! She made me look great! (And even let me keep the fake eye lashes to use another time) We jammed out to Katy Perry while she did my hair & makeup. Conversation with her was really easy and laid back so once she'd finished I was feeling much more comfortable. I'm very petite and have trouble finding "outfits" that fit me so I brought a few of my own bras. I'm happy I did because even though she did have some options that fit me, I felt more comfortable and sexy in what I'd brought. We did 3 sets and a little mini one in between. I got a ton of pictures! She took so much time with me and gave me great directions. She shows you your pictures in between so you've got an idea how it's going. I wasn't ready to buy an album right then so she gave me credit towards free edits. Overall it was such an awesome experience! I found Cherish through hours and hours of sweeping the internet, comparing studios, looking at how well the modeling is done in the photos, and looking at reviews. After about a week, I found that Cherish was my perfect match. I went in for my photo shoot and it was amazing. She did my hair and makeup very well and quickly, and I had never felt so attractive. Then during the photo shoot, she was telling me how to pose, where to look, etc. She made me extremely comfortable for being in basically a bikini in front of someone on the first day we met. I purchased a GroupOn for a session at Boudoir For You and I'm glad I did. It was my 10 year anniversary in June and I wanted to give my partner something special. I was nervous because I had never done a photo session before but Cherish put all my worries at ease instantly. She is calm, patient, and friendly and has everything you need for a great session. She did my hair and makeup and helped me pick out some outfits to wear. I ended up using all of her stuff and none of what I brought. Cherish directed all my poses and (literally) sat down with me after each outfit shoot to go over the photos. She worked with me to get my session in and my book printed before my anniversary so I could surprise him with the photos for our anniversary. To my surprise, even the non-edited photos looked AMAZING. Needless to say, my partner was THRILLED with all the pictures. I highly recommend her for boudoir. Some women are stunning/photogenic. Some, like me: ARE NOT. I have a partial paralysis that would require Cherish to FIX ME. I have certain angles and postures that fancy me and some that do not... I was disappointed in the fact that I got 100+ photos of me looking awkward. Of those 100+ photos, my hubby along with a few friends found exactly 10 that we're nice. Of those 10 , 4 were head shots (Glamor Shots) 2 were of my tattoo on my back (Which were lovely) and 4 were actually SEXY. I take some blame for this... One, because Cherish showed me the first shots from the first outfit and I didn't really like them. (I should have told her then) I guess I just thought they were. test shots and she will find what works best for ME! She took photos of me on my knees that made me look like I had no bottom portion of my legs. I didn't feel like she was paying attention to the details. (Like: my hand looks broken like that or my eyes are too far in my head and I look like I was having a seizure . I ADMIT, I probably needed more studio time & really wish she could have told me, rather than SNAP* SNAP* SNAP*. Good news- She negotiated with me on buying the rights to all the photos, however I did that because it was cheaper than the purchase of buying the 10 prints. read more

This is also a review for Cherish AND Yvette at Boudoir for You. I got this on a Groupon and was very nervous. I don't like getting my photo taken and I am not a big lingerie fan. Well, Yvette did my hair and makeup pinup style and it made me feel so confident. She was all about being beautiful and being yourself and she really made me feel calm. By the time Cherish was ready to start shooting, I got this burst of confidence and was ready to have my photos taken. Cherish brought out the beauty in me in a way I didn't know was possible. She had all these moves and poses that she helped guide me through, and knowing how much I loved my makeup really made me feel like a star! The groupon comes with two outfits and two backdrops. Cherish showed me photos after each set and they were awesome. I loved them so much I bought all the digital photos on CD. I can't wait for the retouched prints. I recently went into Boudoir for you for a photo shoot. I was very nervous about how I would be able to do this because I did not feel that I had any part of sexy in me. As a big girl (size 18) and a single mother of a boy, I definitely do not feel sexy. Well let me tell you I was wrong. As soon as Yvette put on my makeup I started to feel like a different woman. Cherish picked out 3 sexy outfits and backgrounds for me. She was great and made me feel so comfortable even as I wobbled in the stilettos. I definitely felt the sexiness come out of somewhere. Overall this was a great experience that I think every woman should get to experience at least once. I plan on going back in a year after I get closer to my goal weight for some after pics. This experience was incredible. Three of us went to the studio for a photo shoot, although we went together it was a really personal experience. I had my make-up and hair done by the make-up artist, Evette. I don't wear much make up normally but I let Evette do as she thought would be best for the photo's. Wow was I amazed when I actually saw the photo's. They looked incrediable. My hair and make up looked beautiful. During the shoot, Cherish guided me with posses and looks. I rode my harley to the studio and Cherish took pictures of me on it. The pictures blew my mind. This review is for Cherish and Yvette at Boudoir For You. I discovered them through their Living Social deal- however I didn't actually purchase that. I had already been looking to do photos for my Fiance as a gift on our wedding day and I had won a free session through a San Diego Bridal Bizarre with another company. After talking with them extensively I knew I didn't want to use them. They were polite but completely unwilling to work with me- it was there way or the highway when it came to $, outfits, packages etc. I give this background because Cherish was the complete opposite. From the moment we talked she went out of her way to make me feel special and comfortable and insured that I received everything I wanted for a price I could afford. This is being modest. 5 stars is not enough for her good customer service, flexibility and hard work. This lady definitely deserves her own studio. She doesn't know it but she earned a long time customer. Next was the pictures! We took a lot- I seem to be one of those girls with lots of confidence yet not a model face. I think for every perfect shot we took 10- but each of those 10 were awesome quality- the photos were great my face just had issues! She showed me multiple times through out the shoot and was very helpful in finding good poses etc. I even brought in a few photos of my own that I had in mind. Everything went perfect- looking back through all my photos now I cant believe how gorgeous I look/ they made me look. The back drops are very diverse and completely set the tone for whatever look you are trying to achieve! Again 5+ stars in this department. I also need to mention Yvette- she was AMAZING my hair and make up was beyond my expectations! It went a long ways in making me feel better about myself. Not to mention she was so sweet and stayed the whole time to help Cherish and me in and out of outfits, change sets- for 1 set she even altered my makeup a bit and gave me a victory roll (I was aiming for a pinup look). Hands down it's worth every penny to go with Boudoir For You. I came with my best friend and we made a day out of it. This is the way I recommend going about it.
