The Long Version: My husband and I were driving from Ottawa to Laval and stopped by this bakery to grab a snack. Everything looked delicious, but we settled on a raspberry cannolo and a chocolate lobster tail pastry. They were $5.95 each. The raspberry cannolo was tasty. The shell was crunchy and the filling was a ricotta cheese filling with raspberries. The lobster tail pastry was even more delicious. One end was dipped in chocolate and crushed hazelnuts. The pastry was rich and flakey and the filling was a creamy chocolatey custard. The lobster tail pastry was larger and I feel it was more bang for our buck. They had lots of pastries including Napoleons and croissants. I had a chuckle when I saw that they had the French-Canadian pastry called Pets de Soeur because it translates to Nun's Farts. Lol. It's spiraled pie dough with butter and sugar. I'm actually not a fan of the taste, but I find the name hilarious. Anyway, they also have breads and pizzas, as well as savoury items like Arancini and Calzones. Staff were pleasant. I would love to return to try other items. They have free parking on-site. It's diagonal parking, and the lot is a bit narrow, so a little difficult to maneuver if the lot is full. Worth the hassle though. Review #100 (2025)

Can't have Halloween without the necessary pumpkin flavoured treats right?... But this is the the…read morefirst time we've ever seen a pumpkin cheesecake! We were delighted to discover this delicious, thick yet light, full and... Very VERY large one at @deliceslafrenaie. The traditional pumpkin pie was equally wonderful and this is coming from a group of people who, as previously stated, aren't even fans of pumpkin. Yes, it was THAT good. They were the highlight of our yearly Halloween party sweet table.

The cake was beautifully created and tasted great as well. Each layer was a different flavor and feedback from my guests was overwhelmingly positive. Ordering is easy to do and all in all the product was 5 stars... However I'm docking 2 stars due to their poor delivery methods. How exactly is delivering a children's cake at 4 PM deemed acceptable? Do they truly believe children parties are held at 7 PM? We called multiple times to get this delivery done earlier but we were told that deliveries were handled elsewhere. Was delivering this in the morning or before 2 PM that hard to manage? I had to remind them I didn't care about where deliveries were being handled as long it got delivered conveniently. After all, if I paid you for the cake and you have another location delivering.... my expectation is that you'll still handle it!! They delay of the cake caused delays on our end as well, nothing dramatic but we had a guest leave earlier and couldn't be there for the big cake hoopla. It would have been nice to avoid that! Anyways, I'll use them again in the future but will definitely not use their delivery service.

Location: On Curé-Labelle in Blainville. It's not too far from the 15 and parking is available…read more The place: Small, minimalist and clean decor. The goods are on display, as they should be! The goods: I'd been meaning to try this bakery for a while so since I had an appointment just up the street from them, I decided to stop in yesterday (a Thursday) around Noon. I got loaf (pain de ménage), a quiche (courgette), a chocolate eclair and a slice of their 'exotic' cheesecake. First, the quiche was delicious and the perfect size for lunch. If you are having a salad or veggies (any kind of side dish, really), then I would say half the quiche would be perfect. Anyway, the quiche was incredibly tasty and not greasy or heavy. I would definitely pick a few of these up again. I then tried the cheesecake, which had a nice texture (consistent but not as heavy as 'commercial' cheesecakes) and a thick layer of mango/pineapple on top. I didn't find this dessert to be overly sweet (bonus) and overall, quite enjoyed it. I'm generally not a big fan of mango (I find them too sweet) so look forward to trying another variety in the future! I haven't had the eclair yet so can't comment. I tried the bread this morning and it was a solid piece of toast! Great consistency, not heavy and not too sweet or salty. I say this because I've had bread from some bakeries that I found sweet (not my thing). All in all, I enjoyed everything I've tried so far. Service: Friendly Price point: For the four items, I paid $29 (including tip).
