Al Touras gives an authentic experience in Lebanese cuisine that one must experience. Walking in, you'll find all the different sorts of middle eastern treats waiting to get devoured on your left, at the far end, they have a variety of Lebanese items one can get done, fresh, in front of you if you have the time to enjoy it.
I went with the Lahmajin which consist of a round, thin piece of dough topped with minced meat, minced vegetables and herbs including onions, tomatoes and parsley as well as the Za'atar manakeesh which consists of thyme, sesame seeds and the sumac spice.
Both were fantastic! Why? Well, they prepared it right in front of me, popped it in the oven for a few minutes then rolled it up NICE AND WARM into my eager hands. The Za'atar was good, the Lahmajin was out of this world good.
The price tag? About 2 bucks each... and they were pretty fulfilling. They sell packs of 6 for $10, this is a steal of a deal! I looked around while waiting and the prices were phenomenal.
How is there not a line-up out of the door for this?
There's even about 15 seats to enjoy your meal....
I think I found a joint I can visit at least once a week now. :) read more
